Yeah, and its nots not like there aren't exceptions already. If long hair is something thats shunned on Adhomai, we should assume homosexuality isn't all that good either. You have a cat whose a gay, head of staff, mafia ringleader.

That makes sense, nevermind me than. And, wouldn't it work fine with four instead of eight shield genies?

THe singularity shield generators on the top and bottom are uneven.

"Unjust laws exist; shall we be content to obey them, or shall we endeavor to amend them, and obey them until we have succeeded, or shall we transgress them at once?" -Henry David Thoreau. This is one quote from the Liberal Crime Squad starting screen. It fits the game well, because LCS is a game of just that. Unjust laws, and the crusade to change them. You can do this a number of ways, you can take up arms against the Arch-Conservative regime, or you can sit back, and try to stray the laws through social disobedience and protest, maybe you can even find a mix of the two. But, that is up to you, because YOU are the Liberal Crime Squad. Latest Unofficial Update Latest Official Patch

Reporting Personnel: Emily O'Harron Rank of Reporting Personnel: Captain Personnel Involved: Vira Taryk, Head of Security. Thaumiel, Research Director. Kaitlyn Mytz, Chief Engineer. Jack Thomas, Head of Personnel. Cash Hanington, Quarter Master. Samih Haddad, Bartender. Mrychyny Lyar, Security Officer/Cargo Tech. Jun Ivanova, Security Officer. Time of Incident: Location of Incident: Head of Staff Meeting Hall, HoP's Office. Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [X]Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault [X]Misconduct []Other _____ Overview of the Incident: Jack Thomas, head of personnel was demoted near the end of the shift due to a majority vote among the heads of staff for being unprofessional, breaking SoP, and neglecting his duty as the head of personnel. The events started when two crew members were poisoned in the bar by the bartender, who put radiatioactive materials in his drinks. Uranium was supplied by the the QM at the time, Cash Hanington, who said they had the explicit approval and forms signed by Jack Thomas. This was later found out to be false, however it was one of the main points of the meeting before it was dismissed. Later in the shift a security officer Mrychyny Lyar willingly put in for reassignment. However, when Lyar put in his completed NCF form, he was delayed and pushed back by Thomas, who was having a personal conversation with Officer Ivanova. Beside that, when Lyar was able to get their attention, they didn't even complete the form. Lastly, Jack Thomas shows a complete lack of professionalism when it comes to filing paperwork. He signed all papers throughout the shift as 'Jack "Motherfucking" Thomas.' That aside, none of the paperwork he filed that shift was even complete on his part. They were no indexed, not stamped, and some were even unsigned. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Additional notes: A demotion form baring Thomas' signature, and also left unindexed. The unsighed, unstamped, unindexed form for Lyar's belayed reassignment.

I don't see the problem with how it is now, except for how fast infections spread. Id say keep everything how it is now, but slow the infection down so it doesn't spread to your heart in 2-5 minutes.

I think the best roleplay comes from character-to-character interaction. Its natural, easy, and fun. Just work and talk with your coworkers like its real life, which is easy, because you life in real life. Thats also where my opinions of antags come from. Interaction is cool and fun. Talking to or being a wizard or being a wizard does mix things up a bit, but still just as easy. However, this is also why I think antags hinder roleplay. How many times has your work place been invaded by cultists with magical powers, gun totting madmen, or terrorist squads? Chances are very slim. So adding antags makes it harder to react in a believable way, because you've probably never had to deal with these things before. Plus, even if you're having fun playing and conversing, eventually something an antag does will butt in, even if you're not directly involved. Even if you do get the roleplay both ways, it does take you, or me should I say, because its my opinion, out the roleplaying set you're most comfortable, and have the most fun with.

The annoying thing about that is if there aren't any admins on, or just aren't responding, you outright cannot cryo them, because the someone needs to confirm you want the character to be placed into cryo. Plus, every time Ive actually asked if I could put people in cryo, they say something like "They've only be SSD for 30 minutes, give them some time." Even more annoying is the fact that every time Ive been told that is when it was a head.

Character Complaint for IPC named Zairjah

This isn't they first time they've done something like. A while back they somehow managed to emag a cleaning bot during an extended round so he could roll around in the viscera. Then when my Unathi RD told him him to dismantle it and clean the robotics lab, he remade the bot and named it "Ligger," and then blamed it on the other roboticist who was demoted earlier in the round. -
I will refer to gentleman to: The Tin. Anyone else play? Ive had it since the first day it came out for android. Also, do you people feel about Apple users getting a legendary dweller and five lunch boxes for free thanks to the newest update?

IT was a Wizard round two/three days ago. Near the two hour mark, the wizard started turning people into IPC's so they were easier to kill with lasers, and then back into humans so they could make huge amounts of golem things. The shuttle was called, and you ran on, as Cash, and started attacking someone who was wearing the dead wizard's hardsuit, who wasn't even the wizard, in escape, followed them onto the shuttle, and kept fighting with them, with someone else who I didn't see, and ignored my character, an MD, who told you several times you were in the middle of dying from internal injuries. How you managed to get internal bleeding in a fist fight in beyond me, but thats not important to this thread. -
No one thinks the admins are purposefully try to inhibit DO's, but they do, and they know they do. Its not their fault because they're trying, it just seems to be their fault through inaction.
-
If thats not how it is, is it so important that the admins need to trust the DO corp? Whats stopping the DO's from spreading their wings and flying, as you put it? As the DO's themselves make it seem, the biggest thing holding them back is the admins.
-
That sounds easy, but it feels like its just going to go in a loop. Admins want DO's to prove that they can be trusted. But people either don't trust the DO's or don't feel like reports even matter because the admins monitoring them makes punishment next to impossible, so people don't make IR reports, so DO's can't prove themselves to the admins, so admins keep sitting on them, so punishments don't go through, so people don't make reports, so DO's can't prove themselves, and you see where Im doing here.
-
The head/co-head could keep in touch with Doom, or whoever is the headmin nowadays. And the players trusting the DO corp should be the most important thing, because if the players can't trust the DO corp, no one is going to use it. Then all the time and effort put in it will be wasted because of overbearing admins. If that happens, the DO players will probably just end up resenting the admins for ruining the good thing they could have had.
-
You could just cut the admin intervention, find a DO a large group of people respect, make them the head/vice-head of the DO corp. Theres no way to completely cut the OOC element from punishments that cut in OOC involvement, so you need to find someone that people respect OOCly, if their punishment eventually lands in the hands of someone they respect and trust, they'll be less likely to argue their eventual punishments, at least from an OOC standpoint.
-
That doesn't make the situation any better. The DO corps was supposed to be an IC way to deal with things not bad enough to make character complaints. Now IC paper trails are getting dragged out into OOC, reports get dragged on to an inch of their life. That kind of thing never would have happened if admins didn't intervene like people thought it would be. So new we have people not wanting to make IR reports because no one ever really gets punished, and in they do its takes months, so you get people making character complaints like what happened with Meowy and Lyar, but at the same time, you have people who don't want to make official complaints either, because they have the same process where anything and everything get dragged on into infinity, and people don't even know if those people are even actually punished because the only feedback at the end of a complaint thread is always just "its been handled."
-
The reason Im "implying" is because I heard straight from the horse's mouth that it's almost happened before.
-
I just noticed this. How, at all, does that makes sense? Admins want zero OOC consideration, unless its their own, admin OOC consideration? Isn't this extremely biased and hypocritical?
-
Id rather not have any admins in my DO soup, but if they need to be, shouldn't just one suffice? I think it'd be fine with just Jen or Scopes, I think the best person they'd need to consult if they do go the adminless route would be Jackboot. I don't really know the dynamics, but isn't Jackboot one of those high ranking DO guys? And, to me at least, he seems to be one of the most respected DO's, OOC wise.

Ive also seen them violate the EOR greif several times while admins weren't on/were AFK/Something. -
I think Jackboot and Frances have said it all already. I didn't know about how DO's have to go through Dante's Inferno to actually punish someone. If Id know that way back when Skull made that rating thing, Id have having been far more kind in rating the DO corp. I thought the DO's corp was meant to be a way to report people, WITHOUT OOC/Admin interference, why should DO's need to get permission from every admin in the universe and wait months to be allowed to handle someone? Its not fair to the corp members, its not fair to the reported person, and its espically not fair to the people who make incidence reports thinking they might actually get somewhere for once.
-
People have said before, in OOC I remember, on the forums, that they won't make complaints or put them off because they feel that making complaints in useless, except to use up your time writing it, replying to one/two people, and then waiting days/weeks/months until an admins claims that its "resolved." So doing this would make people feel like complaints are less a waste of time, and more as something thats actually useful.
