  1. We were not able to let the bodies be found because people kept coming, and we had to deal with them. The only person that we "hunted" was Cruz, whom we captured in Engineering and dragged to the firefighting room. Everyone else just showed up one after the other as we were trying to take our time and RP with the victims before they were absorbed. I was planning on leaving the bodies outside Escape, but I wasn't able to leave the room until Security went down to investigate, which culminated in my detainment.
  2. BTS meeting as their leader (bottom middle, next to red haired Atmos Technician, Roy) orders them to stop molesting Roy.
  3. It would benefit RP visually during intense situations, where people probably won't read flavour texts. For example, I would roll down the jumpsuit and take the webbing vest off if he was injured from the waist and up. The Doctors could have read his flavour text earlier in the round, but I think they'd probably forget about those details later on. It would serve as a reminder of his physical condition, and possibly make the doctors take extra precautions while helping him. He also often boxes at the holodeck, and rolls his jumpsuit down to be more comfortable during it, something I think a lot more people should do. The jumpsuit itself would show how little he cares for his appearance with all the oil, heat, dust, gases, sweat, and over all punishment a jumpsuit goes through Atmospherics and Engineering /ICly/.

    psa: security

I think one of the core reasons Security is and should be set to a higher standard, both ICly and OOCly, is that a critical part of the department's function consists of putting people inside very tiny cells for several minutes at times, essentially prohibiting the player of most actions mechanic-wise, other than walking, and talking and communicating through the radio or PDA (unless your charge was Abusing Comms, or the Officer's player decides to be a shit and take both away when they shouldn't have). Corrupt, rude, or incompetent Officers can exist, but with thorough consideration of the players they are going to be temporarily taking out of the game by brigging them. If a Officer is going to be disrespectful, or cruel, they better provide engaging RP, but only in scenarios where it's just between the central characters and any evidence of unacceptable behavior near-impossible to obtain. If it becomes public, then you have to either void certain parts, or canonize CentComm's strict actions against your character. On the other hand, when other departments get out of line, most of the time it's just not the same. As non-security, you're probably not going to lock other players inside an improvised cell for several minutes, or incapacitate them for a long period of time until Medical heals them, or kill them, unless you're a round antag. Conflict-wise, non-security members give a lot more freedom to the affected party when interacting. When security and a detainee are in conflict, inherently there is barely any freedom on how to deal with it for said detainee, and that is why the time a player is put inside a cell has to be OOCly scrutinized in terms of why they are there for any amount of time.
  5. Very little work needed on my part. Thank you, Wendy's.
  6. I was V'GER, a security borg, that round. I responded to medbay where I was met by Sparky (Dityblues) and Doomberg's nuke ops. Sparky had two hostages next to him, which made me very conflicted as to what to do, so I followed along for the safety of the hostages. Doomberg was behind me doing something, when Sparky threw a tank-transfer-valve at me and Doomberg, killing us both and people inside the surgery theater. I have been saying for months now that TTV's should never be used, which is what I saw Dragon (kingmatt9) doing in the Brig for whatever reason, along with ordering the nuke ops to kill all hostages, after the Medbay ordeal. So when kingmatt says: I find it a little hard to believe you really did try these things. Did you just give up? If so, why start making the round even worse with even more bombs, and getting rid of the little number of players left?
  7. Whatever does not violate SOP nor Corporate Regulations, which take a long time to learn and should always have available for reference when playing AI/Borg/Sec/Command, I have no problem following the Chain of Command of Captain> Every-other-head. It should also be noted that depending on the emergency, the Head of Staff whose department is in charge of dealing with said emergency (I.E, Blob=CE, viral outbreak= CMO, and so on) is for all intents and purposes, the Acting Captain for the duration of the emergency, should the Captain not be present/available/competent. That was a long sentence.
  8. Most of what Konflict said about Roy does not affect me in the slightest. That's basically how Roy is, although I would disagree on the "irrational" part. I made him the way he is to amuse other players OOCly, however annoyed their characters might get ICly. I would say that while I do get annoyed by how Security treats him and other people during processing, I have come to accept and embrace his polarizing effect on the community. I agree that they feed off each other, I do ask you to take a closer look at Konflict's final statement: "Luna's not a character. She's an attachment to Roy." How is that not a more negative comment than, "this character is bad"? That basically means, "Your character exists only to leech off the other," which goes against the give-and-take principle given by you, and that they can function on their own. We can clearly see the reaction a comment like that might evoke by looking at Cassie's post.
  9. It's hard to criticize Luna as a character, because she's one of those characters who are seemingly defined by their relationship and takes every chance to abandon their department to be with their partner. Or worse, gets assigned to their partners department at an entry position just to be with them the whole time. A person alone does not act the same as when their love interest is present, so any chance at getting to know Luna ordinarily goes out the window. And her presence makes Roy extra volatile, prone to irrational violence and interference in matters that shouldn't ordinarily involve an engineer. Anyway, I understand you do it because you enjoy each others roleplay and it causes 'drama' which drags in other players for roleplay sometimes, it just bugs me. Basically, Luna's not a character. She's an attachment to Roy. Luna is actually a well-developed character with a surprising backstory, and an ongoing growth in the station. It's not fair to dismiss someone's character as " seemingly defined by their relationship" just because they spent a lot of time with their (infamous) partner and not with your character. It's true, depending on not their partner is present in the shift, people will act differently in terms of who they get to spend their time with, but how is this a negative aspect in terms of character personalities? Crescentise is asking what people think of Luna, not what people think of her relationship with Roy. Perhaps you have not been able to notice, but Roy is not around as often as he used to and if you do not get to interact with Luna during the times he is not around (times during which I've found out Luna spent as part of Engineering), your post seems like an attack on Crescentise's character due to your interaction together has not been favored by the game's infinitely possible relationship outcomes, which I think mimic life pretty well. Some people like Roy, some people hate him. Some people like Charlie Dove, Nasir Ha'kim, Jamison Stamos (just to name a few), get to know Luna better, some people don't. Wow, who could have guessed? And what exactly is what "just bugs [you]"?
  10. +1'd. Crescentise is a great role-player and I'm looking forward to seeing the kitty-specific emotes. I wish Tajaran and Unathi players emoted their tails more often.
  11. BYOND Key: keinto Character name: Roy Wyatt Item name: Stained Jumpsuit Why is your character carrying said item to work? Because he's got to wear something to work. Item function(s): Works just like a normal Atmospheric jumpsuit. Item description: This is a stained Atmospheric Technician's jumpsuit. It's a jumpsuit that has a few faint stains around the sleeves and neck areas. It also looks worn around the elbow and knee areas. Item appearance: A normal Atmospheric jumpsuit with a few stained spots. When rolled down, the black tank top is replaced by an alpha channel that shows a few scars on Roy's frontal torso, and a small tattoo of a Singularity on his back. Additional comments: Some help on the spriting would be appreciated.
  12. +1. Hartburry plays a fine Tajaran and I'm sure he'll have no trouble playing a Skrell.
  13. Pump has a red Unathi Captain, unless he deleted it and told everyone to void that character.
  14. +1. We need more Skrells onboard and I'm sure Crescentise will deliver interesting roleplay, although probably not to me because Science and Engineering don't get along.
  15. Dear Tina, The surgery at the Morgue really was a hilarious situation, and the event that lead up to that was indeed a stupid and reckless mistake of mine. I should have been professional and setup inflatable barriers outside the doors, but I did not have any with me and my urgency to save lives was greater than my training to not underestimate breaches and its lethal consequences. Do keep in mind that it is hardwired into my brain to close the access to whatever dangerous location in get in/out of, but I am still trying to improve my performance during emergencies where lives are at risk. My heart goes out to all the people that might have died from that accident. Sincerely, Roy Wyatt
  16. Dear Antagonists, You make the shifts fun whenever you are around. All the potential for intense situations comes from the wonderful ideas and plans you create early in the shift. You are half of what makes our little station what it is, for good or bad. Countless unforgettable moments have been ingrained in my memory because you, the Antagonists, had the courage and cunning to forward your agenda at the expense of socializing with fellow crew members. But there is one thing that you do which irks me a... little, over all of the suspicious conduct, non-sense killings, and overall evil actions: excessive amount of breaches. You cause these with a bomb when you want to set an ambiance of terror on the station, or to get to a certain department from space, or to prevent us poor crew members of getting somewhere safely, so that you and us may engage in jolly interaction! But I passionately believe there is a thin line between the feeling excited when fixing those breaches gives me, and the moment when your careless behavior starts to affect my enjoyment of the job (I'm looking at you, red-suited guys). Breaches are awesome, not as dangerously awesome as the Singularity, but still give me chills when thinking about them and their airlessness. However, when there are so many around the station that no matter where I go, I will see shutters forced open because the crew could not care less about their or others' long term welfare. All this air (or lack of) bouncing around the hallways and the departments somehow slows down space-time itself (or lag, as my meta-creator and his friends call it). Most of the time I wish you would skillfully try to infiltrate my beloved station through our reinforced windows without making any breaches. My hardhat goes off to you every time you attempt this, and throughout the course of the shift, if a breach does happen, I'm okay with it, because you tried. The less breaches you make, the more time I have to yell at my friends for not doing their job right, or for letting themselves get in a dangerous situation with you. I hope you are doing well, and I cannot wait for your next attempt at creating a movie-worthy ordeal with me, and remember that every time you let my precious air escape into space, I have to go there and fix it, instead of directly interacting with you. Sincerely, Roy Wyatt P.S. Happy holidays!
  17. The TV had been on for quite a while before Roy Wyatt even bothered to glance at it again. He was too focused on a device which he had been working on for weeks, and the loud music he had on due to his roommate's absence did not help either. The blinking had caught his attention from the corner of his eye, and he finally turned at the TV to watch the newscast. He stopped the music and listened to it, still more focused on the device in his hands. By the end of the first broadcast, it had gained some of his interest, but not enough for him to stick through the entirety of the second part of the broadcast.
  18. Roy already looks like a jerk. I approve.

  21. It also doesn't help that the current Security roster consists of so many disrespectful Officers. Now, I know I'm mostly known for playing exactly just that: Roy Wyatt, a 'disrespectful' person, but he isn't Security, and it is from the perspective of constantly playing this character that I write this. Officers like Ana Issek, Apophis Quihtzin, Winston Carton, Nia Snyder (or the other Snyder, don't know) and Jackboot's Officer Jawdat whose first name I can't recall nor spell right now, just to name a few, have constantly picked on Roy for his attitude, sometimes without any provocation from him which leads to an almost-instant detainment when he responds back, or have openly yelled and/or insulted crewmembers when they see them doing something out of the ordinary. The argument that all of these people are also living beings, therefore it is natural for them to get aggressive verbally, doesn't stand because it is a crime to Insult a Head of Staff, or an Officer on duty. Some Officers have more tolerance on the people who commit said violation, but if Security also does this on a constant basis, then the crime should be listed as 'Insulting a Head of Staff' and nothing else. The way I see it, if Officers are put on the same level as Head of Staff in terms of protection against insults, it is implied that they are not to do the same thing. I have yet to see or hear about any of these Officers (except for Isilithai) being detained for ANYTHING non-antag related, like abusing detainees or Neglect of Duty, something I'm sure would have happened by now had Security not shown favoritism toward each other. This is almost a whole thread on itself, but it ties closely into why Rev rounds turn out the way they do, so that's why I've posted it here.
  22. Reporting Personnel: Roy Wyatt (Final draft of report prepared by Detective Leo Wyatt) Rank of Reporting Personnel: Atmospherics Technician Personnel Involved: Isilithai Uaekis, Buthaynah Jawdat Time of Incident: Location of Incident: Central Primary Hallway - Dormitories entrance Nature of Incident: []Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault []Misconduct [] Overview of the Incident: I was walking through the Central Primary Hallway, when the vending machine outside the Dormitories was malfunctioning. Officer Jawdat asked me to fix it. Another tajaran Miner was also present; they began hitting the machine with a pickaxe as I started fixing it. I asked them to stop and they did, but not before throwing a cup of ramen toward me. I ignored them and carried on with my reparations. Shortly after, Officer Jawdat ordered me to pick all of the products the machine had dispensed. I asked her where the Janitor was, to which they whispered in my ear, "At your mom's house." It should be noted that Officer Emmy Gray (accompanied by Commander Uaekis) was close enough to hear Jawdat's response. Naturally, this comment made me extremely upset, due to its originator being a member of Security. I proceeded to physically get a hold of Officer Jawdat to confirm what they just told me. They proceeded to get a bottle of pepperspray and utilize it against me in order to neutralize me. I ran away. After I had recovered my sight, I returned to their location (still in front of the vending machine) where I attempted to physically get a hold of them once more. Commander Uaekis then extended his telescopic baton and hit me in my left hand. The pain this brutal use of force gave me caused me to fall on the ground and bleed. Officer Gray then dragged me away from them, giving an end to the incident. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Emma Godswood, Head of Personnel Additional notes: Around a week earlier, Commander Uaekis (then Acting Captain) charged me of Neglect of Duty for simply being in the Medbay lobby during Code Green. I was talking to my friend, Dr. Phoebe Essel, when he and another Officer approached me. I decided to then head to the Bar. Once inside, Uaekis came behind my back and cuffed me after pepperspraying me in the eyes, without being told anything. He then transported me to the Brig where I was unjustly incarcerated. Code green states that: Crew members may freely walk in the hallways. Mr. Uaekis in particular has shown an interest in harassing me, specially when in the position of Head of Security.
  23. I'd FINALLY like to have a female Unathi onboard, whether I even get to interact with them or not is not really an issue, because I know Nikolai will RP with whomever he has the chance to. This will also (hopefully) motivate more people to create female Unathis. +1
