  1. I don't know. This could either prevent heads of staff from ramboing, or just make it worse because now they have some protection while they go antag-hunting.
  2. Do an experiment where the requirement of a whitelist for Skrell is removed. Cons: -Equivalent of bald Human Assistants playing a race that is supposed to be withdrawn and rational -Skrell will eventually kill everyone because there is no pool on the new map Pros: -More Skrell on station like there are supposed to be -The existance of those random Assistant Skrells could be explained by the Jargon Fever, with some adjustment as to what the genetic disease actually does
  3. Yes to everything, except: Just remove Geneticist from the station. They can stay in lore.
  4. As of 5/16, this bug hasn't actually been fixed. Edit: Just noticed the one in Atmos Maintenance does the same as well.
  5. Ending up being a friendly mercenary is fine, as long as the character had an arc to get to that point. I don't know whether this was the case, but even then, the crew is also at fault for accepting a random-ass person as a crew member so quickly.
  6. I was that OP acting on my own. I'm unsure whether you bring up the instance as a good or bad example. Which one is it? On the subject of the round in question, the Nuke Ops did take a few hostages, like the HoP and the Chaplain, whom later I saw shooting back at the Nuke Ops with a taser, and probably got killed. They didn't just KoS. The first 3 items in your list and number 5 are things that are completely acceptable for a mercenary round, in my opinion. Could Cargo have been disabled in a smarter way without killing three people in the process? Sure, but just listing "Destroy cargo" does not server any purpose other than to make your list longer. Edit: Just read Shadowhunter's complaint against Enkas' Chaplain, who did indeed fight back and get killed after being handcuffed. What happened between those two events, I don't know.
  7. hummmmmmmmmmmmmmmm No, I met her afterwards. Can we lock this thread? I'll make another one when I quit again so everyone feels bad.
  8. Roy Wyatt is around 610! Although, I don't see why normal human skin tones are a deciding factor in this chart.
  9. As long as I have been playing, which is about a year now, you only need one person to convert in this server. There are multiple spells that do require 3 people, like blood boil and summon cultist.
  10. Since the first reason you have provided is the reason for your resignation, allow me to tell you a few things about the player in question that I gathered while I was observing the round: 1. That Atmos Tech had tried to pump sleeping gas through the distro loop to the entire station while the round was nuclear. People ahelped this, and as far as I know, SierraKomodo was the moderator who spoke to them, but I don't know if they were issued a warning or anything before Sierra had to leave. 2. He then proceeded to evade Security and spent most of the round in space, with a firesuit, a gas mask, and a firefighter helmet. He kept screaming over the comms how he was going to build his own station, and went to the destroyed outpost. At this point, I try to ahelp him again, instead of having to make a staff complaint against SierraKomodo, since the rules state that if I'm not satisfied with the outcome of the ahelp, then I have to make a staff complaint instead of a player complaint. Baka started talking to the player shortly before or after my second ahelp, and that's the conversation that ensued. Then I saw him SSD in front of one of the solars. From this, I think it's fair to say that if they were already given a warning for pumping sleeping gas in the loop, and then did everything I just listed, AND replied to staff the way he did, a permaban is more justified. But the issue is how Chaz was treaded when inquiring about the incident, and the incomplete reasons for which the player was banned. I can't stand it when people tell others to drop subjects as if they are trying to hide something, as in either being afraid to have to admit something is wrong, or telling the person to shush people they don't like them and don't like to hear criticism from them.
  11. There is a welding closet on the northwest side of the Engineering break room where you can get industrial welders, but not welding goggles. I agree with most of your suggestions strongly, but I think some of them are a bit of a stretch: While I think Atmos techs should have sufficient electrical knowledge to install air alarms, they shouldn't be able to hack doors without at least an Engineer telling them the specific wire. If they need hacking to re-pressurize a certain area, an Engineer should be with them to fix the breach anyway, which happens way less than it should.
  12. Seeing as I could not see a thread dedicated to showing our character's appearance other than drawings, I am making this thread so people can post the equivalent of their Aurora characters in other games or mediums! This also includes drawings. Roy Wyatt salutes you from Los Santos, San Andreas! (GTA V) http://i.imgur.com/tdgcIKd.jpg' alt='SIZE>'>
  13. That is very true. Sometimes the antags forget to use their me's to their fullest potential, but I think the mere fact that a dead hostile just came back to life should be enough excuse to gtfo there ASAP.
  14. Or you could try notifying Security of the minor crimes being committed first, which were Vandalism and Trespassing, and see what they order you to do. Note that I said minor crimes. You wouldn't waste time notifying anyone if the suspect was priming a bomb, or something similar. He was just trespassing and breaking a light. In my opinion, what you did was powergamey. As for the actions of the Medbay people, why are you so prone to taking one of the few antags out of the game? Not only are your characters not giving fucks about their immediate well-being, which is also powergamey, but you are turning the round into extended. This is why my sighing intensifies every time Security chases after antags like they are taking in personal when they know there is only one or two antags in the round. Try give them the chance to make the round interesting by giving them some leeway. SS13 Antags don't have the time neither the plot conveniences movie antags do. And a movie would be pretty boring if the bad guy got locked up/killed halfway through the story. I'm pretty sure most of you see the game as a story as well, right? Wouldn't you like to make it an interesting one?

    More Vampires

From what I've seen and experienced, vampire rounds always end up being pretty boring. Even with two (I think that's the limit with our average player number), there isn't much involving the crew during these, and I don't think it's the antagonists fault. It's hard to become a powerful vampire to the point where you can start interacting with the crew and be able to fend off against Security without firstly killing a bunch of people, unless you work in a department that enables you to acquire protohumans easily, and monkeys too? (Forgot if monkey's blood works) What I propose is to increase the number of vampires at the start of the round. Normally, I'd say we begin with an verage of 15 players ready, but several more join right after round start, making the mechanic of "x amount of ready'd up players equals x amounts of antags" somewhat useless. The number that I would like to increase it to is at least 2 to 3 per round with the minimum amount of players needed for the gamemode, whatever that is. In my opinion, most of these problems also apply to changeling rounds as well, but Vampire is the one where it does get annoyingly slow. What do you think?
  18. She really didnt stop insulting people over the comms last shift which is what pisses me off the most because sec arrests people for insulting them whenever they want and i bet that if i said thats how i talk i would get detained so no. I would be ok if by officer it only meant command but sec uses it to detain ppl they dont like and also she has harrassed Luna over the pda several times without her starting the conv and she called her hair weird and stuff like that so thats also harassment and i also heard that punches the other luna the janitor one in the face so yeah thats assault maybe she can tell you herself i dont know. Well i gotta go now sorry if the format or whatever wasnt right its my first time posting in this thing my brother Leo did it for me the other time. He told me i couldnt swear but if i could i would have so much more to say oh well. See ya Roy Wyatt Last edited by Fireboxingfighter33 on Mon April 06, 2457 7:51 pm, edited 2 times in total.
