This allows you to let players know that you're in your body, and hear what transpires around you. You can already see, at least let us actually spectate from the corpse's perspective? Completely if at all possible.

If it's unbalanced, consider making it a ghost verb? exit corpse, then re-enter corpse with hearing? I'm not sure.
Hendricks Posted March 10, 2019 Posted March 10, 2019 I think this should just apply to Lings definitely, as much as I'd love to hear people's words after I'm wordlessly blown away would make it more fun, but not being able to hear makes sense and leaving your body as a ghost is acceptance of defeat. Plus being in your body after your dead is just kind of feels immersive to me. But I'm not fully opposed to the idea since you would still remember nothing upon being alive again. I think I'm 50/50 on it really. It'd be nice, but muh immersion.

Carver Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 Funnily I'd be down for this idea if it only applied to real corpses, and didn't apply to lings whatsoever. Lings don't need buffs, but making it so you don't need to go between being a ghost and in your corpse when you're proper deceased would be handy.

This is hilarious, changelings are by far the weakest antagonist in the game and the most terrible at doing anything interesting. There is zero actual reason why a fake changeling should not be able to hear everything around them even better than an actual corpse. Lings need all kinds of Buffs, actually they need a rework entirely but that's another story, stop trying to make special exceptions for them to make them stay shittier than everything else.
