Fortport Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 (edited) Whether forensically or just through observation, it would be cool to see what made the footprints. Barefoot? Paws? Boots? Shoes? Sandals? These are all helpful things to know, and you could probably tell by examining. If you want to know what type of boots(workboots, jackboots) or shoes(sneakers or dress), forensic tools could be used? Thoughts? Edited December 11, 2019 by Fortport
Naelynn Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 There already exists a limited version of this - the sprites change. Barefoot Unathi and Vox for example leave behind claw-shaped sprites. It's not listed in the flavor text though.
canon35 Posted December 11, 2019 Posted December 11, 2019 I think just simple examining would be best. Examine some footprints and be able to tell what likely printed it. Of course, I do think it shouldn't be able to tell you EXACT shoes unless they were quite unique. Some, such as boots, would likely leave the same imprint.

What about a "shoe mold" thing for forensics that could tell what tipe boot it was as well as whether the person is likely male or female

This could help you determine whose footprints belong to who. Like if bloody footprints are from the same set of footwear or if someone else was present. Edited December 11, 2019 by Fortport
Caelphon Posted May 15, 2020 Posted May 15, 2020 Reviving this. This would be a cool addition if the perp didnt bother cleaning up the the crime scene (cough cough @sonicgotnuked) +1
