Scheveningen Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) Throwing plants into the seed extractor currently (to my knowledge) extracts 3x seed packets from the inherent plant item thrown into it. Hoes should extract only 1 seed packet (and then delete the harvested plant item as sacrifice to Gaia), particularly to help visitor-gardeners continue to sustain their garden and not be screwed on produce - while not necessarily being as efficient as hydroponics. Alberyk Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 You can do that with wire cutters, that botany spawn with.
Scheveningen Posted December 18, 2019 Author Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) oh i didn't know that. Actually, don't close this, it only works on plants inside dirt plots. Some plants are single-harvest plots, so. Edited December 18, 2019 by Scheveningen
Gangstafary Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 Indeed, wirecutters take a sapling which possess the same traits as the mother plant, which in unmodified plants is equal to extracting a seed.
Scheveningen Posted December 18, 2019 Author Posted December 18, 2019 (edited) Yeah just asking for a way to extract seeds from plants in a ghetto fashion so that you're not punished for harvesting single-harvest plants if you're not hydroponics. Edited December 18, 2019 by Scheveningen
Doxxmedearly Posted December 18, 2019 Posted December 18, 2019 You could get wirecutters from public tool storage. Cut the plant sample, then harvest. It doesn't delete the plant to do this.
