Improve T-Ray Scanners.

T Ray scanners, old tool of engineering, barely used for it's actual purpose of seeing what's under tiles. Most engineers simply tear up the tiling to look for pipes. Why? Because the T Ray scanner isn't that great. The issue with them is that the flashing and very limited range. It's simply not that useful. How would I propose that's fixed?

Expand the range of it to about 7x7 tiles around the wielder. Not too big, but enough to help you tell what's going on underneath the tiles of a room with ease. At the same time, the removal of the flashing effect would also be good. It's annoying to have the pipes flash in and out while trying to examine them. A constant projection of what's under the tiles would be much more preferable.

All my love for this. The range can be as smol as it is right now if its CONSTANT.

It would be the bigget fucking QoL upgrade for broken shit under the floor.

It's always been a little surprising to me, just how useless the T-Ray scanner is. I get the idea behind the small range and pulses, but it ends up being bad enough that even a manifold one tile in front of you can appear as if there's nothing there, unless you look closely.

Having a constant projection and wider range really won't harm anything. It's a good change to have the tool actually be used.

I'm a few hours late but. Instead of boosting the range massively, can we replace the flashing with just a constant overlay of whats around you? I would find that far more useful. Increased range doesn't resolve the primary issue why I just tear up floor tiles: The 'flash' mechanic is just annoying and takes too long to update for it to actually be more useful than just tearing up the tiles.

Apparently the PR does that too. Nevermind.

Can we make these make cloaking devices within the scanner's range shimmer again, as well? That was the most interesting use of it back in the day.
