Happy_Fox
I feel that "Actor" would be a better term going forward for the server as HRP. It gives less emphasis on the antagonistic aspects of the roles and more on actually playing them believably as expected of the roles. What are your thoughts? Link to comment
Desven
I like it, and I picture it would be even more useful in NBT, because I don't think everyone we encounter will be antagonistic and most will just require aid from the Aurora. Link to comment

Antagonists are defined as those that bring change in most storytelling setups, and Protagonists are those reacting to the changes. That said, I think the current terms are fine as is, and I believe Actor would be far more likely to confuse new players than something as clear cut as "Antagonist". Link to comment
Carver
While I like the thought of pulling away from the term antagonist, I feel like actor plays too much into the supposed expectations that you're to put on a show and little else. I wouldn't enjoy playing 'actors' as that would lead me to assume that instead of focusing on keeping things grounded and realistic in behaviour and action, I'm instead expected to cause and direct some form of eye-catching drama. Faye <3
I honestly don't think that this would change anything. I would be willing to bet that regardless of what antag rolls are called, 'antag' is already in the server's lexicon dictionary and they would continued to be called such. Link to comment
Desven
I've been thinking more about this and thought it would make s great gamemode if the antag spawned with wardrobes like in a play. I know there are chameleon suits but the thing is with burglar/merc you're expected to be hostile, you spawn with weapons and the uplink is mostly that. What I'm proposing is a gamemode where you're basically at the backstage of a play, no weapons or anything (or maybe some, but not as deadly as bombs etc), and you have more items on your disposition, maybe artifacts or animals or whatever, to help convey a story that won't end in bloodshed (hopefully). I've seen some antags do gimmicks like this but they still have to spin around their intentions and all. Link to comment
