MattAtlas
Hello. The relay staff team is thinking of adding a new rule to close up a few issues and is curious about your thoughts or proposed changes: Quote The profile pictures of your PluralKit proxies/characters are considered in character and are visible to other chat users ICly. This means that your proxy's profile picture must be an image that makes sense in character and may exist in the universe without raising believability issues. Memes and modern pop culture phenomenons are not allowed in principle, while using characters from TV shows or videogames is fine, if it is a high effort attempt and is not a blatant joke/meme. This is an edited version of what some of you may have seen in the bot channel. We are doing this to end the quasi-IC status of profile pictures in the relay, which are currently in a nebulous state. Additionally, this is to tie up a few consistency issues with enforcement of believability or modern-day content in the relay itself. Link to comment
Garnascus
Meh, its kind of annoying to swap avatars. Feel like we should just let it be so as not to inconvenience people. Just seems a little weird having your regular PFP and then having to swap to different one to type in an IC chat. Link to comment

The Relay uses the PluralKit bot, which automatically creates posts with a name and profile picture set by you for characters. You don't need to swap your main account's profile picture at all, as it's handled via the bot in the relay IC channels. Link to comment
Garnascus
Wtf? Really? Wow! Alright nvm theres probably no reason then to not have this rule. Link to comment
niennab
I honestly thought this was already a rule. It's a fair one to add. Link to comment
Boggle08
Looks good. Kind of reminds me of the expectations for flavor text. Link to comment
ImmortalRedshirt
This is an appropriate place to strike a line. It keeps profile pictures flexible while eliminating ones that stick out like a sore thumb and likely aren't as funny as imagined. Link to comment
ryder
Yes please. I think it works. Wording is spot on. Ultimately case by case when it comes down to people borrowing from pop culture. (Is it a blatant meme vs. is it just a "casting"). Link to comment
Captain Gecko
Myeah I agree. Like said above I assumed it was already the case to be honest. Link to comment
