Guest
This'll be a pretty simple and clear-cut suggestion. Mostly for equipment redistribution, and overall rebalancing. As well as giving nuke ops a chance to do more things with the TC they have, ranging from infiltrating the station as clown ops and outrobusting security with soaps while also honking, or just standard peacenuke demonstrations or etc. Now we don't have to bug admins all the time if we want to do something as newcops. Some ideas: Buff the amount of TC nuke ops gets from the uplink radio to 160. Adjust how much the deadly/violent items cost, preferably by larger TC increments. Remove the C-20r from nuke ops as a default weapon. Give freshly spawned nuke ops a somewhat weak, but versatile bulldog shotgun, and a stetchkin as a sidearm. Add combat shotguns, stetchkin pistols+silencers, energy shields, C-20rs, etc, to the dangerous weapons category of the uplink. More guns in the code we don't even use, essentially. Not matebas, though. Add dispensable tank valve bombs. 25 TC gets you a small tactical bomb. 50 TC gets you a medium bomb. 75TC gets you a big boom. Now we've solved the issue of unintentional gankbombing, as there's no excuse for killing someone with a tinybomb nor one for killing several with a bigbomb. Accountability! Remove the start-up tank valve bombs the nuke ops get in the tool storage wing of their shuttle, as a result of the above change. Now you have a choice whether you want to bomb or not. Simple. Slightly adjust how much tools/other fun stealth stuff cost, just to scale with the 160 TC buff. C4 included in this, so people will buy it more and consider it to be much more viable if they want to do assault ops. Boxes of ammunition can be added to the list for C-20rs, shotguns or pistols. Add metal/construction materials to the list of tools and misc. gear. I'll either add more ideas to the list when it runs across my mind or if anyone else suggests stuff in this thread. WiP, yo. SgtSammac
Hmmm. Not going to look at the code related suggestions. But I'll look into the mapping side. It is high time that we finally did the remap of various other shuttles. Link to comment
Skull132
Well, if we're going this route, we may want to redo everything forever. Basically, turn it into mercs mode from Bay, and give themselves a proper staging area with gear and such. Basically, an armoury that they can access, that isn't on their shuttle. And then use the free space on the shuttle to include other things, or simply have as free space. Link to comment

Not having all this extra equipment that wont be used on the shuttle will help with nuke ops going for a certain gimmick, too. (See the player complaint that's buried in there somewhere). I'm going to have to load up the DM for the bay master I have to see, then. Link to comment
mrimatool
I dislike shotguns being forced, many people love the SMG, and Nuke Ops get rekt using it anyway so I don't see why it would be too much of an issue giving them a choice, or just keeping it with the SMG. Link to comment
Carver
More gun choices and less free automatics is always nice to me, semi-autos are much less spammy! ...I've never actually seen merc mode. I'm going to have to load up the DM for the bay master I have to see, then. I'll sum up the armoury. E-guns, SMGs, a few other non-standard weapons like Ion Rifles, a /wide/ variety of the original syndie softsuits as well as the current hardsuits. Basically letting the team a moderate amount of customization. Hardsuits are notable because baycode lets the Nukies buy a laser they can mount on said hardsuits, probably the one item I'd like to see ported over most. The nukes can operate 'fine' without buying anything is the general gist of the armoury, incase someone wastes the TCs. Not matebas, though. They're exactly the same as a traitor revolver, just with a nicer sprite, assuming Baycode hasn't buffed them. Unlikely since baycode hates deathsquad. Link to comment
