Where oh where to begin.

The essential reason is: murderboning. Straight up ganking me and admitting it.

I was cheffing it up as Myr'rhana Zurejhamel'ere. I had joined to RP with a friend, and was enjoying myself. My kitchen counter was full with 4 people chatting and eating food and I was having a good time with the other chef getting ready to do a cooking show and teach some people how to make miso soup.

And then Wolf walked up and pointed a gun at Yinzr, who was at the counter too (about to EAT ALL MY FUCKING PIZZA).

I ran out of the kitchen here, and grabbed a hatchet, and then stepped out in the hallway to try and talk him down.

I guess I must have moved while he was aiming or something but I got shot twice for nothing. I THINK I only ran after the first shot but i don't recall perfectly.

And that was it for me!

I will sum up my thoughts that I was spamming into deadchat for the next 20 minutes of that round:

Being confronted with outright racism and having your character put in danger is fun and tense. This was being clicked on until my character died.

Being faced with your character's own mortality and watching them plead for their life as their killer laughs is fun and tense. Begging for your life and being emotelessly clicked on and dying is not fun.

I tried to RP begging for my life, calling for help, praying, all for nothing. They didn't even interact with me. They just shot me, tied me to a chair, and spaced me. I RPed. They didn't.

The entire deadchat the entire rest of the round was FULL of people outright stating that they DID NOT HAVE FUN. The other Mercs were stating outright that this player was the one murderboning and they followed along because they were a team.

I feel strongly that these players led a murderbone against the crew without even trying to RP, thus making the game less fun for everyone. I feel they should not be able to do a repeat performance.

I was even reccommended by someone who can't make an official complaint, to complain. This isn't just my salt; this is the majority of players that I saw talking complaining about this guy.

Ahem, i would like to point out that the round was handled in game, and when i meant gank. I meant shooting you, not targeting you, also, i tried to rp, my team didnt heal you when they had mess and didn't want to do anything with you,

Also, you weren't breathing when we spaced you, and i could have thrown your body into space, but i but it outside the airlock to be nice.

I was in no way contacted by staff saying what i did was gank, and i tried to do both of you on the ground, you had a hachtet, i had a gun, i think i win that fight

Also. Yinzr tried to do with me, you didn't, you got up, instantly walked out and pulled a hachtet on me, causing me to aim at you, you then decided to try to call for help, when in can caused you to be shot, it's not like i shot you dead, both shots were games reflexes, i didnt want to kill you, but my medic didn't want to heal you.

Just to clarify something about game mechanics and being targetted. Talking on the radio causes the 'Fires by reflex' to occur.

Well to be perfectly honest I am a stupid about the controls still so that never occurred to me, about the radio.

(I usually have a hatchet and knife on me, I'm a chef; I just kind of have them. #catlivesmatter)

Like, it's been discussed on Discord by now, and it comes down to something like:

"I'm torn because I agree COMPLETELY with the fact that, I was a hostage and expendable to them and every counterpoint raised [about the radio, disobedience etc], but I also still just feel the way I do about being clicked out of existence. It was shitty and I didn't like it. Dying that way is boring."

I accept that it was shitty and I didn't like it. I accept the other side's counterpoints as well.

So I don't think any action would be appropriate, but I do just want this on file as something that was complained about.

Oh, so THAT'S where that hatchet in a pool of blood came from. I was wondering what the story was on that thing.

Look, I don't read this as "clicked out of existence" neither. You had a number of posts in there roleplaying a mewling, pathetic xeno parasite, appealing to the pity of the superior species. Once you went down, you weren't double-tapped and walked past. There was a conscious effort made to let you have your death agony RP, and they even granted an OOC apology to you, personally, for how they were hoping for a little more. But you triggered a reflex shot when you used the radio, and when you ran from the first shot. At that point you got to RP your death, and they didn't hurry you along. It may not have been the glorious hatchet-rush you armed up for, but your death was of your own making. You ganked yourself, like how the security catbeast I shot ganked himself by sprinting around with shrapnel in his chest. He, however, had the good sense not to complain and we had a little LOOC chat about our lack of hard feelings.

I, however, got bwoinked, a note added, and now my name is in the complaints section again. And while I didn't start the shooting, I didn't shoot hatchet-wielding chefs, and I didn't do nuttin' but blow up the combat borg factory after announcing my bomb threats and having them ignored, with a bomb planted under a water tank in a mid-traffic area people could find... well I got to enjoy conversing in redtext when I wanted to be having a good hostage-intimidating scene, or keeping abreast of the nuclear blast my team had queued up.

But instead I'm filtering through logs trying to defend myself, which ruined my RP and got me killed.

So here, in the spirit of airing grievances, I'm writing down that I'm not happy neither.

But I understand the administration has to take these things seriously, that my character was stone-cold-No-Russian for most of his time aboard, that I could have handled taking Hanira hostage better, that I should have prepped blowing the bomb with crew radio "I warned you I'd do it!", and that the staff member who spoke to me did say I wasn't in trouble, he just had to document it, and while I wish the whole conversation could have waited until after round, that's not the policy and procedure he's handed.

Oh yeah, this shitty round. I am sorry, but the first thing I see is the mercs "purging the xenos" Then a bomb gets blown in maintenance between robotics and medical for the reason because I switched to combat borg. Then the nuke ending the round. Yeah, it was a gank and murderbone round that was poorly disguised as a "Purge all xenos." It ended the round way to fucking fast and there was no ghosts. I also attempted to negotiate multiple times with them as a unarmed engineering borg and I get told to screw off and "We will not negotiate with a soul-less machine."

This round honestly had no RP at all and was shit. But what can you do.

I was a engi borg and I got shot with a heavy laser cannon. Also I don't call it gank and murderbone as soon as death starts to come. I know that they would shoot the combat borg right when they see it.
