Rtiger Synth ban

Recommended Posts

So, I'm not the one processing this, but two things.

1: Get rid of the stuff in brackets. It looks silly and isn't needed for us. Also fill in the Reason of Ban and Reason of Appeal.

2: If you're trying to get unbanned, it might be a good idea to be civil and polite and not insult the abilities of those deciding whether to unban you or not.

So, maybe change to fix both of those. Until then, g'luck.

My issues are your disposition when I was speaking to you, your lack of explanations (all you said was "its not gonna blow up," repeatedly, despite being asked to explain what, exactly, you did, step by step,) and your history of notes. Furthermore, acting like an entitled retail customer is going to get you nowhere. The "I'll take my business elsewhere!" tactic of trying to leverage unbans.... Honestly? Only encourages us to leave the ban applied.

Do not pass go, do not collect 100 dollars. Try again.

Hi. I was there. I suppose you recall the cultist engineer that goes by the name Oreki Nomura? I believe there were more important information that led up to you being banned. At first, I thought you were permanently banned, but no, you weren't, so I'm here to and go over the missed information leading up to your synth ban.

Firstly, when I led you somewhere to discuss about upgrading the SMES, I paralyzed/stun talisman you and dragged you to the docking of Engineering. I would then disable the cameras that would make us undetectable by AI. After AI is awake and repaired the engine and asked for her location, I said that she went SSD. In reality, I was converting her. She continuously refused to be converted and eventually SSD'd in the middle of it. I sent an adminhelped and inform my people over AOOC that this occurred and waited for admin. SSD Engineer eventually died, so I had to hide the body in Engineering Outpost bathroom. Then, as soon as I returned to the station, I received a LOOC message along the lines, 'Ha You failed'. I didn't make a response as I waited for Aimless to respond. Aimless was the only admin on. Then, I heard the AI questioning why the emitter was on spot the drone at this very moment, I immediately adminhelped that the drone may be blowing the engine because of lol shitler revenge. I immediately deactivated the drone and locked down all drone fabricators. Henceforth, some admins noticed me @mentioning every admins on the discord that a drone was going to blow up the engine, as was eventually later recalled to Aimless. Aimless finally got on and took care of this.

Take it as you will.

As already stated, I don't think it matters if 'You have tons of options.' You made this appeal, which means you want this option here, not elsewhere. Stop with this consumer stuff, this isn't a company, this is a community. Aurora is not gaining anything from you being unbanned versus leaving. If you were banned from features of a community (NOT A COMPANY), you can't threaten to leave to get unbanned. Actually deserving the unban and learning from your mistake is what really matters here. We would gain and lose nothing if you chose to leave over being punished. If you were banned from a feature, it was for a reason, because you were thought to be abusing said feature, which is reason to keep you banned over being unbanned.

On an actual related note, I don't know how I feel about an Engineer coming back from the dead as a Drone and preparing the Engine... Seems kinda metagame'y unless power was starting to fail, and going SSD instead of being converted? That's... not good either... It's completely in your rights to refuse conversion, but... going SSD? Coming back later and gloating in LOOC? This really makes you out to not deserve this unban, at least to me. Clarification would be nice, and help your case.

Indeed. It makes it appear as you do not want to be an active member. Explain your case, Rtiger. I know you have checked this appeal when you were last active.

What would break the RP was if I just ignored it. Someone tries to convert, suicide is an option, and honestly OOCly I know crap about most antag powers, so I didn't have a clue what was going on. I don't mind being a minor antag like traitor or ling, but I hate cult, rev, and merc. Yes, perhaps I broke things a bit as a drone, but hardly catastrophically.

You're missing the point.

You logged during the conversion. You didn't suicide. I killed you because you refused. You OOCly bragged and gloated that I failed to convert you after you logged then you joined as a drone and left the emitter on seemingly wanting to blow the station while an engineer is present. I would like the case manager for this appeal to look over this appeal once more.
