Kaed Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 (edited) As I'm sure everyone is aware, every time you take any amount of damage, you are given a tag appended to your character to mark that you were wounded. Every tiny paper cut, slip, bloody rune to the geometer, and burn you go through adds yet another tag to your character, so by the end of the round, people can have strings of injuries longer than their actual clothing description list. How you can see every one of these tiny bruises through their clothing is also a mystery beyond the ages. So, this needs to change. Ideally, the threshold required to gain a bruise/burn marker needs to be either raised or created in the first place. Anything below 5 burn/brute damage is so minimal it probably wouldn't even leave a noticeable mark. Or, if it does, it can clear away on its own without needing to empty medkit supplies to fix. Pratepresidenten Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 If treated, injuries disappear after a while, leaving your character fresh and free of red, annoying text.

Juani2400 Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 The injuries tags when examining someone do disappear if treated correctly, after they've reached zero. And this tends to happen in way less time than an hour. Probably five minutes, at most. In any case, you are requesting something to be fixed. This is not the appropriate place to report a bug. The proper place would be our Github. Do some tests, again. And if you are sure that this is broken, you can access the Github from the server itself. Top-right corner, there's a "Report a bug" button. It will take you to our bug-tracking thing in Github. Create a new issue in accordance to the rules that will appear.
Kaed Posted April 12, 2017 Author Posted April 12, 2017 After some testing, I guess you're right. I have removed the parts indicating it is a bug, and the rest of the suggestion still stands - there are problems with the setup of the injury tag system.
Nanako Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 juani is generally right. These tiny injuries do disappear even without treatment, although it takes a longer amount of time. IIRC its about 50 minutes, and i think thats fine. The real problem is just that they're visible on examine, when they shouldnt be. Best fix would be to make tiny injuries only visible from a short distance, and/or if the bodypart in question is uncovered
Skull132 Posted June 2, 2017 Posted June 2, 2017 Rendering thread invalid. The mechanic is not broken, and should be reported on Github instead. Binning.
