How long have you been playing on Aurora?:6 months

Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I believe this particular character is suitable for Command and I want a part of the Increased responsibility and unique interactions the Whitelist opens up. I've began missing my times as HoS on para want to continue on Aurora Why did you come to Aurora?: I come from paradise, majority of that I was a HoS main. After about 18 months I eventually found the MRP chaos and furriness to be too annoying and I wanted a better more realistic experience. I saw the heavy RP label on aurora one day and decided to join, instantly fell in love with how much better it is at absolutely everything and haven’t looked back.

Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes I have many times.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplaying means different things for different people, for me it is immersing yourself into that character and acting as them. It is putting yourself into situations that normally would not be possible for you and acting as that character.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:

A head of staff have two main purposes in my opinion. Firstly to assist players with learning how that department operates and help them to learn. The second purpose is to enhance and direct the Role play in that round.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?:

as said above, whitelisted players have the responsibility of directing the round appropriately and helping new and old players. The way I would achieve this is by delegating to my subordinates and not micromanaging everything that happens. Also I would assist any player with questions or issues they have be it OOC or IC.

Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs):

((Note: This is a reworked version from my Unathi application)) Born 2419 in a small village north east of the Izweski City of Skalama the youngest of two sons, Kars'sa from a young age always wanted to be a warrior like his father and bring prosperity to his clan. While too poor to receive a proper education other than what his mother could teach him, he in addition to this he received training from his father who also raised him an ardent Sk'akh. From when he first heard of Human and Skrell contact he dreamed of space travel.

When the contact war broke out in 2437 with Kars'sa at age 18 where he had to leave his wife and newborn daughter as he found himself levied by his Clan lord to serve the Hemogeny with his brother. A year into the conflict holding back coalition forces, his brother was gravely injured, taking him out of the war. After the confusion of that directly followed the Nuclear exchange, Kars'sa was separated from his levy and made way towards his village, which he found to be destroyed with no signs of life. Before he too was struck with radiation poisoning he gave his family members a Sk’akh burial the best he was able to. With his almost entire clan presumed dead and his brother’s whereabouts unknown, he fled to Ourea via a human vessel a few months later. In 2445 after arriving in Tau Ceti a few years prior, he was contacted by Nanotrasen that offered him employment in security because of his military service. At the present time, he has completed a Degree in criminology and works in the ISD on the NSS Aurora and he has decided to lodge an command application due to the length of time he has been employed with the company.

What do you like about this character?: He is a more level headed and rational unathi than alot seen on the station. I find the religious side of him interesting to Roleplay and I enjoy the interactions so far.

What do you dislike about this character?: He is a fairly new character which means there isn't much yet developed of him other than his backstory

What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?:

He has a large amount of experience and history working with Nanotrasen. The trauma he has gone through to get as far as he has has hardened and desensitized him and caused him to be able to remain calm. Both of these reasons are the majority of why I believe Kareeth to be suitable for HoS. Secondly the Warrior Honor Code I believe would be a good way to guide my RP as a HoS as its central focus matches the requirements of a Good HoS player In my opinion and this is already something I keep in mind with him as an officer.

How would you rate your own roleplaying?: I believe I am alright Since converting from MRP to HRP I have come a long way. Although when I look back at how I used to act with regrets, I take feedback I get very seriously and I think I make large improvements every time Receive it. I know I still have things to work on but I believe I am a competent enough player now.

I personally enjoy his Unathi security officer, and I would like to see him within the Head of Staff areas. I know I haven't had my whitelist for a while, however I truly enjoy my rounds where one of his characters are serving under my Head of Security. +1 from me, solid RP, level headed person both IC and OOC, and altogether fun to be around.

Now, I'll be honest. I love JMJ99's characters, and I'm a fan of the majority of them. I don't know JMJ very well, though, but I certainly like how (s)he(?) handles his/her characters. I figure (s)he could handle a Head whitelist. If (s)he can't, I'm sure the staff will make that known.

I think they've gone a long way from how that character was originally.

 

They have, in my personal experience. After a player complaint on Ashley Jaeger, JMJ shaped up pretty well, that's why I'm comfortable with supporting this application. I'd suggest anyone with issues to contact JMJ over Discord and talk to them about it directly.

As Brutish and Abosh have said regarding this, Following the complaint I made a large effort to improve myself as a roleplayer and Jaeger as a character and I believe I have done so. She has been problematic in Aurora for me as she was my first character I made on SS13 and she was used to get myself used to HRP which meant adapting her to it, despite this I believe she has improved massively as a character.
