Reason for complaint:

The three characters, Trevor Dettler, Jordan Dettler, and Brian Michels were all medical staff during this shift. It was a round of Heist, where I was playing Cherish, and we had made allies with the Vox of the group while the other members did other crazy shit, like rob the entire vault successfully almost without us noticing. The Vox ended up in the medical lobby, as one of it's favorite friends was Echo, paramedic, who had duties in medical and needed to stay where they could. The three doctors mentioned were bumbling about, pressing buttons they didn't know the function of and such, being probably new. T Dettler I believe was bald, Michels was toothpaste-cyan afro'd, and I don't recall exactly what J Dettler looked like. They all had the characteristics of noobies or greytide, though. It was harmless at first, until one of them began to hug everyone. The Vox did not like being touched, and so asked him, do not touch me. The guy then hugged him again, and the Vox asked to press charges for battery. Chief Halstere said Go for it, and they were fined 75 credits for battery. I think it was at this point that the three doctors decided they did not like the me, the Vox, or anyone associated with the Vox.

They ICly began to insult the Vox, causing needless issues and provoking it greatly. This was pretty good IC tension, even if the esteemed doctors were acting massively unprofessional, calling the Vox disgustingly obese and this and that and blah blah. The other medical crew, Echo and Will Green, sided with the Vox, because they liked the Vox. The rest of the round, these doctors caused problems ICly, though nonviolently. They continued to harass, and harass, and harass, even up to the very end. I believe at one point, the Dettlers were arrested for god knows what.

I don't have all the details and misdoings of the trio, unfortunately, and would hope that the players effected by it would comment their experiences with them on this round. The one, Trevor Dettler, is fresh off of a ban as of less than 5 hours ago as I'm typing this. While the majority of this can be chalked as IC issue with behavior, I personally think that it's clear that these people weren't on the station to have fun and interact in a positive manner, rather cause issues however they could, and they did.

Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? Yes, but I did it at the end of the round where it couldn't be helped at that point.

One Dettler was arrested for attacking a Raider prisoner being held by the HoS (Myself), another for viciously beating an Officer (Something Shimizu) with a wrench, after being fined. I didn't see an awful lot of their shenanigans, as I was busy that round hunting down other Raiders.

I'd like to just mention I was playing the Vox and at the end of the round, after the shuttle docked at Odin and we missed it, one of them attacked me with a wrench, forcing me to spike them in to crit.

I have interacted with the Michels individual the most of the three and I believe he was already banned. The others are still very poor and were fighting each other as Cadets both of whom I locked in Solitary because of how big an issue it was. I believe they were banned as well.

I remember the last name Dettler, there were two of them, and Michels was spelled that way because I thought it was silly. I have an awful memory when it comes to these things.

Sorry that this took me a while. I've been getting run ragged at work this holiday season due to being short staffed.

I reviewed the logs of all they did and even discussed the issue with another administrator as well. Considering how everything went down, I see no reason to punish the players in question. Is what they're doing silly to some degree? Yes. Is there a standard of RP that staff should enforce? Of course. Did they actually create some form of IC conflict in a non-antagonistic and realistic fashion that made you recognize it as well in your complaint?

Definitely.

I would not go as far to say that they were not acting like believable characters and won't be taking action against the players. Misbehavior is okay up until a limit, in my opinion, and they did not hit that limit. I'll be closing and archiving this complaint in 24 hours.
