AmoryBlaine Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 So, instead of people stuttering through their own typing, they can now use nervousness- except nervousness is extremely over the top because it's just pain stutter. It either needs to be removed from selectable disabilities, or redone.
Skull132 Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 In the interest of actually having tangible feedback. Can you please elaborate on what's wrong with it? And if it were to be redone, or tweaked, what should be changed?
Pratepresidenten Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 From my experience with it just now, it stutters and stammers like paincrit, and it makes things incredibly hard to read. Maybe half the stuttering rng or whatever fancy is used

And if it were to be redone, or tweaked, what should be changed? You know what painstutter is, right? That isn't a realistic or portrayal of a normal stutter. "Th-th-the Q-qu-quick b-b-brown f-f-fo-fox ju-ju-jumped ov-ov-over -he la-lazy- -dog" This makes sense for extreme pain, it does not for nervousness. When people write their own stutters, it is easier to understand, and allows for stutters to come off certain words, rather than all or none, as well as toss in "uhms" and "uhs". Nervousness stuttering currently is just very basic and not of a quality that should be acceptable. You can't really improve it, seeing as most characters are situationally nervous, not nervous 24/7 and thus aren't stuttering constantly.
Bauser Posted April 10, 2018 Posted April 10, 2018 It could be made to pick only a few words of a statement to s-s-stutter, and it could insert "uhms" and "uhs" fairly competently just by replacing a space it (E.G. replace " " with ", uh, ")

People are using nervousness, whatever it is - coming into Medical, and asking for the new anti-psychosis medication, without prescriptions in record, not knowing what the meds are actually called - and the meds appear to do nothing for it. It's really fucking annoying.
