  1. I really like the blue uniforms and I prefer the blue tiles to the blue and yellow. Or perhaps put gold tiles more spread from each other, or put them in decorative places rather than alternate statically. Warden jacket should stay red tho.

    psa: security

I disagree. I won't elaborate. But I disagree. Everything else though, I agree on. I haven't read the other department descriptions you gave so I have no opinion but people talk down on security for absolutely no reason other than because they can't do what they want to. No, security is here to ensure the station is running smoothly and the station is secure. Part of that is policing the employees. I don't let security into the medical bay on the principle that people shouldn't just go into other peoples work areas for no reason. Even as a CMO I don't encroach on genetics or chemistry unless I need to or I get permission from the workers in that area. However if they have a legitimate reason I'll let them in. There are the select individuals who think they're above the law but generally, security is fine. Except for the officers that belittle and otherwise promote a hostile work environment. Part of their job is keeping that stuff from happening. Security is held to a higher standard because they're supposed to demonstrate the expectations they enforce on the crew. It's called leading by example.
  4. I think you're referring to the nuke round where I was one of the ops. My plan was to gear up and go full fucking Payday mode. We were going to come in through arrivals and blow the vault. We were going to drag the gold and nuke down the fricking hall ransacking the station and waving guns in peoples' faces to get them on the ground with a bullet in them or not. Their choice. That was MY idea. It got me so pumped and I was excited. However the other nukes wanted to go for telecoms first, so I ended up being like whatever. Then things went down there, and I got hurt and got an infection because some IC fuckup which left me with a broken arm and foot so I couldn't do anything too useful on groundwork. So I just stayed on the shuttle. Things never go the way you want them to. EDIT: Also yeah, people for some reason give no shits about hostages. You have a gun to peoples heads, and everyone just eggs them on. It's like, come on. At least pretend with me.
  5. Not to bring up the past but powergaming I literally just said after that "Cryo is for stabilizing criticals and major damage you can't handle with a sleeper, not treating every booboo and ouchie that comes in the door." Emphasis added. I know you did, that was a sarcastic crack at the admins.
  6. Perhaps you didn't read my earliest post. I don't care if Skull has done it before. Even if he had done it before that doesn't excuse you. Depending on the context it might have been acceptable. I don't know. This complaint isn't about what stupid thing Skull has done, it's about something you've done and not only that but consistently. The issue isn't you doing one thing wrong, it's you doing a lot of things wrong over a long period of time. The fact that you keep yourself from playing telescience to pull that stuff is ridiculous and would only support a move for a job ban. You DO pull this "all the time" in that you do it whenever you're in telescience. My issue isn't that you're chucklefucking whatever job you play. My issue is that you're chucklefucking whenever you're in telescience, at least a LOT of the time to the point where I personally can not ignore it anymore. When you play telescience, there is a difference between playing a telescientist every day and pulling shit once or twice a month and playing telescientist once or twice a month and pulling shit every time. The same amount of offenses? Sure, but the ratio of amount of times played to offenses accrued is drastically different. So no, it isn't untrue nor is it exaggerated because as I see it, you monkey-bombed the security lobby. You've metagamed and powergamed telescience rushing top secret and unauthorized equipment on and off the station and lied about it, and have generally been a nuisance in telescience. Do you do that anymore? No. Maybe, I honestly don't know. What I DO know, is a pattern I'm seeing in that you'll get your wrist slapped, say okay, and move on to some other thing which I stated earlier in my complaint. What you're doing here is meeting a quota. You're doing the maximum annoyance you can be without getting in trouble and in my opinion, that is not okay. I disagree. Like I said earlier in the thread I contemplated keeping it IC but given what I was told and what I knew it was warranted to go beyond an incident report. And yes, from several sources it seems I was misinformed because I was told by several people that duty officers have yelled at Travis on numerous occasions for his childish, destructive, and counterproductive behavior. Based on your testimony, an admin's, and a mod's testimony that isn't true so I withdraw that statement. However things like a major security breach and abuse of your power to get things you have absolutely no access to or authorization for in an incident report should call for an immediate investigation by central command because a weak link in security like that could mean disaster. There is an incident report filed on Travis for such an incident yet he hasn't been reprimanded in any way. As such, and this is by no means a crack at the duty officers players, I have no faith that something will be done to any meaningful extent about Travis's shortcomings. As for people that say "lolnotcanon", once again, moot point. That is an issue on the server and I personally have an issue with it but I haven't directly come across an instance of it that I can properly write a complaint about. Once again, this is about you, not them. While I can commend you for keeping an injunction canon this isn't about you not keeping things canon. It was mentioned more as a possibility should things go awry for Travis. Speaking of incident reports, we had plenty of evidence and reason to believe it was you and only you. Not only is Travis notorious for abusing telescience but who has access to monkey cubes and cleaner/water grenades? Cargo, but cargo was pre-occupied and I myself was actually going back and forth between cargo. People know about the sparks that accompany teleportation, through the process of elimination and what evidence we did have was plenty to say "Yep, we need to keep you out until an investigation is done," but I think the technician was looking for a piece of paper that said "Travis wuz here". What the character is doing is wrong. You did it literally just because you could. If he had a reason or was a traitor, fine. He had none nor was he. 1) That's the issue. 2) Monkeybombing isn't that big of a deal. Being a chucklefuck in telescience whenever you are in telescience is a big deal. 3) Clearly not. 4.) And again, this isn't about them. If I believe what they do warrants a complaint and I'm directly involved enough to believe that it warrants a complaint, I'll do that. Leave the uninvolved players out of this. 5.) See #1. It's an issue that needs to be corrected some way, somehow. And thus, here we are. That statement also nullifies your suggestion to talk to you about it personally because what is one person going to do to change how you operate, particularly one that you rarely interact with? Not much I'm willing to bet. Additionally, you said that chucklefuck was used as a buzzword. I don't believe it is. Chucklefucking as a verb is when you do some stupid action for no reason just to get a kick. In other words, you are fucking about to get a chuckle. Hence, chucklefucking. I don't care about chucklefucking few and far between. I've been victim to peoples chucklefucking before. I've enjoyed some, I've gotten annoyed at some. However the frequency from those players and characters aren't enough for me to care beyond some minor irritation. I don't even like to use the term because people honestly do overuse it as a buzzword. It isn't an inaccurate descriptor in this complaint though.
  7. See, I'd agree with you completely, but it happens all the time. Imagine Skull did that every other round, or everytime he got access to telescience. It's too much. Well, we've got a duty officer program for that sort of thing. Just file an incident report and cite "He's been doing it way too often" and leave it IC. I considered making an incident report but considering what I've been told and seeing his offenses IC and OOC I decided it was more fitting for a complaint. I don't care if Skull did it to the medbay once, I wasn't there and couldn't find it hilarious. That point is irrelevant. I'm tired of Travis abusing telescience all the time and only getting a slap on the hand. The duty officer program has so far failed in moderating him because from what I've told he's been yelled at before but all he's done in response is go something along the lines of "Okay" and move on to some other annoying thing to do. Unless Travis decides to keep it canon that he's no longer able to be in science because of an executive decision by duty officers, I know for a fact he's going to keep pulling different shit and say "Oh I stopped doing those other things". It's a vicious cycle and up until now I haven't cared enough to make a formal complaint because I was sure at some point he was going to be corrected. However it's clear he has no intent of rehabilitating his behavior. I'm tired of it. Even from the logs I've posted it's clear that he finds annoying people with telescience - for no reason other than to be annoying - fun. After all, science needs to meet fun needs too you know. Edit: I also don't think I can technically file an incident report because according to the forensic technician at the time, "We had no evidence" which seemed ridiculous to me because there were sparks, she found something to do with budget insulated gloves in her investigation and no one else on the station was wearing them at the time. Even so, telescience is common knowledge in the station and people are pretty familiar with what entails. So according to the forensic technician, "we couldn't prove it".
  8. BYOND Key: Tainavaa Player Byond Key: xXTheFurryXx Reason for complaint: Self antagging(?), Telescience abuse Approximate Date/Time: March 24, ~0230 hrs, -5 UTC Travis Davis teleported monkey cubes to the brig lobby and teleported something else in to expand all of them to monkeys. He wasn't a traitor. Gettin' real tired. Logs for reference. MS paint cropped for relevance.
  9. I'm honestly confused by this post. I was referring to sig related. Cryo already solves most problems but people don't generally use it unless they're critical, they're clones, or their lungs are ruptured. Just because people prefer to optimize their workspace doesn't mean anything. When I'm a chemist I always make sure to use my cryo mix but I don't think I've ever actually put someone into cryo. I always try to use my pills because NOBODY EVER FUCKING DOES. SOMEONE OUGHT TO. Seriously though, even as Tina I've only ever put them in cryo when they were critical, cloned, or had a ruptured lung. I think what people fail to realize is that cryo is not the only thing people are wanting to optimize. I, like other medical players, optimize what I carry on me. I always make sure to carry everything I need and I always have them in a particular slot. You think I'm going to do all that just to shove people in cryo? Hell no, I'm just dedicated to medical.
  10. I like seeing peoples cities, I know people have some cities to share. I have two I've been building, they're not great and the traffic system can definitely be better but I didn't even start using trains until my second city. I'll use links because the images are too big. My first city: http://i.imgur.com/B7NH7AB.jpg My second city: http://i.imgur.com/bEEBAF5.jpg My friends have already shown me their cities, I want to see your cities.
  11. Not to bring up the past but powergaming
  12. I knew someone was going to mention some medicine I forgot to. You know what I mean.
  13. Excellent point, which is why I've opted only to care enough to pitch in my experience and thoughts and move on. Quoting this for emphasis.
  14. Clonexadone and cryoxadine already treats physical trauma, toxins, suffocation, and burns though. Anything that isn't Ryetalyn, Imidazoline, Peridaxon, or Alkysine is just either redundant or pointless.
  15. I promise you it isn't. I've been using the mix for months and the toxin damage is inconsistent. I'm very aware of cryo healing toxin damage. It isn't the mix. I promise. Since I first started playing, you would take a clone out of cryo and immediately give them alkysine and they have not OD'd. It isn't the mix, it isn't the dosage. It's not the alkysine. I guarantee it.
  16. I find myself keeping OOC disabled as well for the reasons you stated and a few others. I really only enable it periodically or during dead hour when everything's very quiet.
  17. That's not entirely true, Tina is almost nothing like me. One of the few things we have in common is a taste for folk music. It just makes sense. There is a lot of drama. What I always found ironic, is that people made fun of Tina OOCly for gossiping and even looked down on her (and probably me as I know I've been talked about) for it yet a chunk of people, I imagine a lot of the same people, gossip and talk about others behind their backs and don't think twice. It's crazy. It's like I'm in highschool all over again. I'll do my part. And by that, I mean I will continue to do what I've been doing; I'll say things when I'm interested, I'll be silent when I don't care, and I will remain detached until it affects me directly. EDIT: And roleplay. Very important part here. Just roleplay.
  18. I didn't read this until Bokaza brought this up but if my incident report against Vira had any driving force, it shouldn't. It was an IC thing, not OOC.
  19. Despite me telling people that cryo medicines don't actually work until it gets somewhere below 100K because I've actually taken the time to observe patients in cryo, people still tend to believe the wiki. While it is generally a good idea to trust the wiki it isn't entirely accurate. The wiki says 170K. Ever since the atmospherics and power update, it hasn't been like that. Honestly I thought it started working at ~70K. Also I use a 20 Cryo + 20 Clonex + 5 Imidazoline + 5 Alkysine Why someone would overdose on 5 units of alkysine (even though it usually administers less than a unit for every patient) is beyond me. Unless you are literally giving every patient in there 29+ units, 25 at least.
  20. I want to emphasize this. People do take the server way too seriously, and let IC things affect OOC. Characters are not representative of the players. If something happens IC, it happens IC and not OOC. Go with it. It's supposed to be fun, good or bad. It doesn't mean the player hates you.
  21. ((Oh I see. Damn. Disregard this then.))
  22. Scratched due to Vira being an antag.
  23. I think that's also a good alternative, however that would make the workload heavier on the dev team. I don't know how heavy it is now but the way you described it sounds like several more mechanics and a new system would have to be designed. I realize it can be simplified and is just as viable, if not a more involved solution.
  24. I think it's a decent alternative. We already have unrealistic mechanics as is such as going to sleep whenever you feel like via cryogenic storage or otherwise. Some people are able to push thoughts like that to the back of their mind when they busy themselves. It's possible that immediate therapy isn't necessary but in the case that people DO need it, convalescent leave is an option.
