  1. The first thought that comes to my head regarding lack of therapeutic personnel is that the patient would be relieved of their duties for the time being. In that time, they could talk to whoever they needed to for comfort, guidance, or whatever else.
  2. I have better masks. CAR-15/Crosskill with suppressor is the classiest weapon combination. Thoughts?
  3. It didn't happen very long ago. Either way, it's a point in support of Skull's along the lines of you not being able to handle it properly. Whether I should have brought it up back then or not is irrelevant. It's still a valid point and I think should be added to the thread for admins/mods to consider when making their decision.
  4. To add on to Skull's point, there was a round I was playing an android. I was in the cargo bay lobby with someone sitting on a chair, I don't remember who. Out of nowhere Jamison walks up to me without a word, opens the chassis and hacks me. Right in front of the other person in the room. The thing about it was, I was reading things on the chat log at the time and had my hands off the keyboard. I saw Jamison walk in and assumed he was just going to tell me to do something, because I remember he requested something earlier so I took my eyes off of him to read the chat log and wait for him to tell me to do something. Then I saw "Hack attempt" and realized what he was doing. By the time I was actually able to move out of the way, I was already hacked and had to listen to him. I obeyed my laws and did what I could to help him, but that got me pretty heated. There was no roleplay, no talking, not even any hint. I didn't even expect him to because why would a quartermaster open an android's chassis and hack it RIGHT IN FRONT OF SOMEONE ELSE? She wasn't even a traitor, I know that because he threatened her right after I was hacked. That was ridiculous, and from how I see it done with the intent "to win".
  5. I can't be the only one. I got Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and have been playing with my friends. Trying to stay bow for even single player hunts but I'm finding that difficult to do because of the nature of a gunner.
  6. This is very in depth and in my opinion, believable backstory for an IPC. It isn't very over the top, and what elements you could consider over the top are moderated and believable for what it means to be "believable" in space station, let alone this server. It isn't snowflakey, but it is different in a manner that makes the character interesting and stand out. Also, it is an IPC so that's a bonus. More bonus points for knowing that IPC's are, in fact, robots. I endorse this application, and I am looking forward to voting for you in the upcoming election.
  7. I used to look at our ID's and wonder why everybody thought they needed to be changed. I now agree with them. This is unacceptable.
  8. The best - and in my opinion most admirable - form of roleplaying and sending messages about your character is through their actions and inference, rather than being blatantly told details and information, which I see a lot. It's better if you're not told this because you'll use your OOC knowledge to influence your character IC. You should figure it out and discover ICly, not be spoonfed.
  9. Oh, I don't know about that then. I didn't read the post fully. I saw Charlie mentioned and saw the OOC chatter before the server went down, I just assumed it was after we brigged Charlie for her treasonous actions. My mistake. edit: Additionally I just noticed this was a round from like a million hours ago. Disregard anything I say.
  10. It was code blue for the sole reason that there might be co-conspirators onboard the station with the evidence we were presented.

    The List

Update for Tainavaa True Lemming Synthetic Series™ Synthetics - TruLemIPC/TruLemAI/TruLemPAI/TruLemDroid synthetics manufactured from True Lemming Aerospace Corporation™.
  12. I don't think we'll make progress here until you realize that "playing" security officer when there are no security officers is part of his job when there is an unruly worker. Something needs to be done, and he did what he had to do by brigging Rai. You aren't nonpunishable just because there aren't security officers.
  13. When I first read that Houssam flashed Rai, I thought it meant sexually flashing given the topic. Then Jackboot mentioned brig mounted flashes, and it all made sense. I thought it was very out of Houssam's character to sexually flash. Nik, Houssam did everything he could before he resorted to charging you personally. I've actually had a similar encounter with him where he was being sexually harassed by Katelynn Mcmullen. He resolved it through legal means, though I admit Katelynn was behaving in a very similar fashion to Rai; that is, tryhard badass. Houssam does NOT like sexual harassment. He gets PISSED. In real life, sexual harassment is a BIG thing in the workplace, and any solid grounds for a legitimate sexual harassment accusation is almost a death sentence for your career in that company, and a black mark anywhere else you try to go. In the military, that's the kind of thing people get demoted and in more extreme cases - not much more extreme short of sexual assault/battery - discharged for. Houssam did the same thing with Katelynn. He filed a complaint, had her arrested by security, and even got CCIA involved. Overall, it was fun. But if there's no security force to brig people, I feel that any head of staff is able to take up the reins of law enforcement where necessary, especially on repeat offenders that don't seem to have any intent on change. After all, heads of staff are able to - and expected to - take up acting captainship temporarily to perform necessary tasks that aren't able to be done otherwise. Heads of staff are able to discipline unruly workers. Houssam seems to be in the right here - save for the flashing. But that's an IC thing.
  14. I think it's fine as is as well. I feel no change is needed as well, but I would advocate that change.
  15. As a cultist, this is something I would advocate. I'm usually against hallucinations because they're just generally annoying. Maybe that's because I mainly see them from changelings that think it's fun to just cause mass hallucinations in random people. Might be fun to have a "I FEEL THE WARP OVERTAKING ME" kind of thing going on.
  16. For the sake of not having to read a lot, I will say that it is perfectly justifiable regardless of content.
  17. Maybe I had the wrong idea when I saw the "current skill level" at the top.
  18. I am a huge dumb. Big miscommunication. It is a double-edged blade, as in a singular blade not two blades. The rainbow one works, too. Still pretty hype.
  19. Oh. I thought it was doable. I don't actually know how any of this stuff works, so. Well I hope the first option becomes available so everyone can have their own custom signature.
  20. BYOND Key: Tainavaa Character name: TruLemIPC Item name: It's a signature for paperwork. Why is your character carrying said item to work? It's programmed into TruLemIPC's positronic brain to advocate the company it was developed from. Item function(s): Shows a different signature when [sign]ing paperwork. Item description: It is a signature. It is signed. It appears on signed paperwork, and anything else you decide to put your signature on. Item appearance: "True Lemming Integrated Positronic Chassis, a True Lemming Aerospace Corporation™ Integrated Positronic Chassis" displays rather than TruLemIPC. Additional comments:
  21. That would most likely encourage sacrifice-only learning, which may or may not be a good thing. I enjoy sacrificing people to learn words because it's a HUGE risk and you feel a rush of adrenaline knowing you can get caught at any fucking moment but as a medical cultist, it's hard enough to study words during an active round. As CMO or as an MD, you're often called for. That would only slow the round down more, I believe.
  22. I remember reading that in a book compilation of scary stories when I was 15. It made me laugh. I also believe that describing the general movements of your character is perfectly acceptable, and in fact should be encouraged. The general section of the flavor text is for a general description - if your character moves about lazily, someone looking in their general direction is going to notice that.

    The Jawdat Family

The last embezzlement attempt was accompanied by a successful framing.
  24. I am in no way, shape, or form advocating Contextual's head whitelist application as a sort of bribery, blackmail, or otherwise incriminating act. +1. Edit: Seriously though, he's a great roleplayer that has standards in mind whenever he plays a role that I've seen. He's fun, and performs well; IC and OOC.
  25. Holy shit. Skull, that was just about the most unprofessional thing I think I've ever seen you do. Not to mention extremely inappropriate, not only was the discussion not revolving around that, but you gave way more information than was even called for; not to mention that's just ridiculous anyway. It seems you don't really have !FUN! on your agenda for Aurora. On the subject of IPC heads, IPC's are artificial intelligences that are canonically limited to their programming. They shouldn't be heads, you don't make computers commanders. Tajara and Unathi are sentient beings, and -actually- intelligent.
