I wasn't referring to you. I got what YOU were saying. I was talking about the cargo techs in particular.
-
No it's not. I honestly don't know how EFTPOS works, so I only assume they're making the money especially with what Jakers said. IC it's a thing to be concerned with though as a head, so. I was.
-
The station already has its own account apparently, so it should be possible for people to pay Nanotrasen for the various products. I'm aware, but Jakers explicitly stated being chastised for making an extra buck. The implication is that all the proceeds go to him.
-
That was one situation, but I've seen many situations where people get chastised for trying to make a buck, or occasionally get ganked by the crew. You should be chastised for trying to make a buck in cargo. You're making money at NanoTrasen's expense. Any recreational orders should be charged with the money going into NanoTrasen's account. Otherwise it's embezzlement. What Jackboot's doing with the restaurant thing, to make it a profitable business for him WITHOUT it being illegal, he'd have to order all the food supplies on his own expense or cut NanoTrasen a slice of the pie.

I have a feeling they're referring to when Tina got on Jamison for charging people for crates. I would have allowed charging people for crates if they were recreational. Otherwise, a department needs what a department needs. You can't charge an individual worker out of pocket for necessary department supplies. That's kind of what cargo is there for in the first place.

What he described is a perfectly realistic scenario, actually. It wouldn't be unbelievable in the slightest in a real world situation, given that the hostage holders were armed with intent on extortion at the hostage's expense.
-
Hostage situations going wrong and ending up with the hostage takers being killed or otherwise neutralized is fine, but the offender did NOT do it in ANY believable way. He saw hostages, saw that there were armed nukes and the first thing he did was just throw a flashbang and start shooting wildly; he put a great number of lives at risk, and was the cause of a number of innocents getting injured and killed, including the detective. The nuke killing the detective was a completely logical thing to do; he TOLD the station that if there were disturbances, he would be executed and that's what happened.

I don't want anything in particular but in an attempt to change my friend's steam name to something more festive I learned that he hates Christmas. So when I visit my grandma's house we're going to bake him so many christmas cookies and send them up as a Christmas gift. So I guess I do want something: More fucking yuletide cheer.

[Volunteers Needed] Central Command Duty Officers
Tainavaa replied to Skull132's topic in Completed Projects
I would love to volunteer for this role. I'm a disciple of paperwork and want all these incident reports reviewed and resolved accordingly. -
I think I was in that round, Scopes. I don't remember if anything was happening in particular with my character but I often feel the same way. As someone said before, everyone feels that way; though I feel recently that I could be contributing to the problem. I remember not long ago that I actively tried getting random people involved in my going-ons. It has been much less so as of late and I've noticed that myself but I've still expanded my list of familiar faces; the majority of them in the medical department, because that's basically all I play besides the occasional Warden. People gravitate towards others with some sort of common ground. Like, Tina notices Fai around but has so far been given no real reason to interact; I don't like forced interaction, it feels awkward and well... Forced. She doesn't even know Fai has a spider named Waffles; Anna does because of a pAI but she's never had the opportunity to meet Fai after that one time.

I have a note on me for a character groping Tina and describing it in a questionably detailed fashion. Tina resisted, and even pushed her off, but I have the note on my account regardless. Edit because I forgot to add one very important detail: Nobody said anything to me about the incident.

Small time. Tina Kaekel has FIVE.
-
Tainavaa Tina Kaekel: A girl that never move on from highschool, emotionally. Chief Medical Officer only by help from her numerous connections with high ranking personnel in NanoTrasen. Often mislabeled a slut, but is actually just very needy and craves intimacy. Anna Lee: Warden, Trooper, Syndicate Operative. Extremely professional in her demeanor; respects authority; strives for efficiency in her mission; loves unicorns and the color pink. Alias: Prophet.

pls post it if you remember it D: I still cannot decide on a theme for Phoebe. I've already changed it once since I posted in this thread. I accidentally listened to the song that reminded me of Phoebe. I like lyric-intensive, story kind of music. This one's perfect for Phoebe.

Enkas' Head of staff application.

I do have one complaint. It will give him access to the Chief Medical Officer role. Other than that, my experience with his other characters - Cylia Tuvies, Hartam Belorin, and Terry Paulson have been pleasant. They have different personalities that are noticeably distinct from eachother, and play their roles well. I have had a little experience with all three and while my experience isn't extensive it's been fun for what little I have experienced them. -
I had more ideas, but I forgot them. In the mean time, here's a response card . "Cultbay"

[Volunteers Needed] Central Command Duty Officers
Tainavaa replied to Skull132's topic in Completed Projects
So they don't wear the Centcom Duty Coats? Duty jackets are part of the ERT attire. They're basically what Sub James Henderson wears while he's knocking back beers after a long day of tearing apart xenos, curb stomping revs, and executing Syndies via neck snap (okay, that one is actually true). I thought it was Centcom duty jacket, not ERT. Nevermind then. -

Do they get to wear the cool coats and shades? -
http://i.imgur.com/X2PuveS.png I would LOVE to be the one that fills out his death certificate in the next Space Station +20, hopefully tonight. Maybe go to centcom to see his corpse, and fill out his death certificate or something. I don't know, I just want to be the one to do it. I figure they decide whether he's recoverable or not at centcom, so.

Tina Kaekel: I also imagine that's how a cult conversion goes down with a willing acolyte-to-be. Especially the maze of thorns/dreaming part. Even when she isn't a cultist, that song still matches her I think. I listened to a song that made me think of Phoebe but I can't remember what it was.

One thing people fail to realize is that punishment and conflict resolution should be on a need to know basis. Involve only those who have a need to know, not the entire department or even the station via general comms. Public discipline only leads to resentment and anger from your subordinates resulting from their humiliation and only serves to weaken team cohesion and promotes a hostile work environment. You're supposed to take care of your subordinates, not make an example out of them unless the situation demands it.

Tony Adams's HoS Whitelist application
Tainavaa replied to a topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I'm not sure Seven's fears are quite unreasonable. I've heard Tony is a good member of security but the only times I've personally encountered him is when I was antagonist - I don't really interact with security unless I'm antagonizing so it makes sense, but it seems Tony's a shoot first, ask questions later kind of guy. I'm not certain if that's changed because well, I hardly interact with him but there's one particular cult round that comes to mind when I think of him - the one where he blew up a welder fuel bomb and took some ERT members out along with some cultists, and earlier before that shot at Tina without a word because she had a gun. I don't know if it was a lethal weapon, but I want to say it was. Those are the two black marks that stain Tony's otherwise seemingly clean record in my mind. If you use a more gradual scale in use of force now, then maybe Tony's ready to be a head of security but as is he seems very forceful. -
Oh my jesus you people have way too much depth in your characters. Tina performs a blood rite every midnight on the night of the new moon (according to earth phases)
-
I'm not confused at all. I agreed that it's an accurate title but that doesn't mean people get the idea that they're authority figures simply because of the title. Not to mention I do believe that security are reminded that they aren't cops.
