I haven't done anything substantial. I'm not in college as of yet, but I was taking University level english courses, which is the AP(?) classes in America? The smarty pants ones. This is also the first and only (besides a single round of call of cthulhu) roleplaying game that I've played, so no credentials there either. I said in my app, I think, that even if it wasn't accepted, I'd love to improve, upkeep, clean up, the exisiting Diona lore.

I really don't see how it changes the play style, it only changes the back story. I think other than the fact that people might change how other species RP with a Diona, maybe a little hint of fear, but not sure why it would change Diona being a hippie. I also have seen people RP'ing the diona as encased in bark. I wouldn't mind changing it, but people have been generally confused about it, so I was just opening up options for these people. The skrell having a war with basically a devolved version of the Diona they created on their own, I don't see how they couldn't apoint the improved peaceful version as a point in their government, especially after so many years since the war had ended. (I'm fairly certain my math was good on that, if not it can be changed.) If you are meaning the gestalts, those would still be incorporated. Once the Diona have learned all they want to, seen all they want to, expirienced all they feel as they can, they take off and join their other evolved kind. I can understand why people wouldn't like it, but the original lore seemed a bit vague to me and poorly written. Granted, I'm no wizard with words myself, but I had thought it was an improvement. I also hope by revising the lore, would hopefully bring more people to what I think is a great specie. I've been playing Diona for a while, and have watched other people playing them, and 0 skrell have ever worshiped the Diona as gods. I also think that certain skrell wouldn't have a problem worshipping giant man eating tree's considering there are humans that worship spaghetti in the sky, and believe in scientology. Some extremists of the religion would despise the newer, smaller Diona, as being a bastardized version of the Diona gods they worship. Honestly, I don't mind changing anything. I really enjoy writing as well as Dioneae. If you guys honestly enjoy the old lore, that's fine.

I was the one who ahelped. It was a nuke round, and I think ou were an officer, or detective or something. I was waiting EVA with a Diona we were going to put into the crew manifest. You killed one of the other nuke opes who was inside, got in their hardsuit, and I assume you put on the radio to listen to where I said that I was. You then walked out of the door. Shot me and the diona without a word. Lethals mind you. Then dragged me inside to be cloned.

I was part of the conversation, so I think I have an okay to post here. We were having a discussion. It wasn't any more hostile than the greif everyone gives Voltage when he comes online. This isn't just Chris' doing. This happens a lot. Whenever a passionate discussion get's going, and OOC starts filling up with that blue text, admin's don't like it. I've seen discussions about music get shut down. Chris is just another cog in the machine. Censorship when it's not needed is what we need. If we're trying so hard to not replicate last december, is the pre-emptive strike method honestly what we should be doing? *edit, I was so tired when I first wrote this. Holy shit.

Nope. The Skrell had kept the Diona hush until A. The war with them had ended and B. When they were able to produce a safe, docile version of it. They were not near any other planets inhabited by species on the station.

Yeah sorry, I had planned to add it to my previous post but forgot. What happened was the warden was saying stuff like "You'll never get me to talk" "I won't tell you". So pushing him down perhaps would've been the thing to get him to talk. It was silly yeah, but it's what I thought the situation had escalated too. It won't be a constant thing though. Yeah, I wasn't having him as like a pasta addict. There was just his two friends with him so mob mentality got the better of him/me as a player, and the warden was shoved. The intent and purpose of the rule is very simple: admins and mods ingame can have a lot of shit going on at one time, depending on the situation, and the more things they have to respond to, the less reasonable it is to expect them to hold long discussions about complex topics. Those are the times where this rule is levied, so that a single argument wouldn't hinder the staff's capacity to deal with potentially more important issues. Of course, it is also expected that the staff member politely apologize at that point, and quickly explain the circumstances and in what format the discussion can be continued. (Such as in a staff complaint, which is what we're effectively doing now.) Awaiting further input from staff and folks alike. Yeah I knew there was a toxins greif going on, and that Xelnaga (Who I had spoke to before but was too slow to get the logs) and Aqy were busy with that. I don't mean this as an insult, but the staff are human too. They do make mistakes, and I think we're all aware of that. They were once the players they are looking after now. That's because they had misunderstood and over reacted. They had even said so themselves. Nowhere you said that I needed to make it for for everyone? Because that was the first rule you told me I broke. "Keep the round fun for everyone." And don't even try to tell me that racist and sexist characters don't stay on the station. That's baloney, you know, I know, and literally anyone who's ever played on Aurora ever knows it.

Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: Two friends and I had joined the server with brand new characters. They had flavour text, and a back story before we signed on. We had arrived and began asking station members for various types of pasta, as my character, Oscar James, is a rather passionate pasta connoisseur, and I had planned on making him a chef later on. The character is also fairly racist an sexist. He'd loud and abrasive, so it's a great combination for trouble. I was asked to tone it down because it "wasn't fun for everyone" and because "it's not believeable". It isn't our job to make sure everyone is having fun with our RP. It's almost impossible to make everyone happy, and that's not our faults, it's because people like different things. As for it not being believeable, need I remind you of the Church of the Surprise Pizza Pack? If devotion to food is unnaceptable and unrealistic, I don't know why this religion was allowed to continue?
