[Accepted]Sleepy's Tajaaaaaaa Application

I was actually planning that fuck yes, but until then she'd be cargo tech or barkeep. -
BYOND Key: Sleepy Wolf Character Names: Species you are applying to play: Tajaran What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Hharar Taupe Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yep Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: The huge amount of work put into the Tajarans has always sorta pulled me in, along with them feeling like the most whitelisted race - meaning more other Taj's to interact with. And, I just love making greedy characters, and Adhomai and its crime-driven economy and war-torn cities are great to have a character made in. The 'Peoples' are valued well, and the idealistic nature of most Tajarans is great. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: They're like freed slaves that now understand the importance of 'Peoples', and their classless society is something humans could never get correctly. War-torn, free, and with crime running most of the economy. There's also the genetic part of it all, with the four sub-species which have different perks and societal differences. Character Name: Drea Mrij'ih'ael'rm Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Drea was born in New Kingdom territory - far to the east in 2430. Her father was a con-man, swindling with his silver tongue, and her mother a 'transportation officer'. The two parents were young, and inexperienced - and could not raise a child in the New Kingdom of Adhomai. The three fled the Kingdom - likely to escape the constant bombardments from nearby Dymtris's nobles holding out for the final moments of the war. Her family, seeking asylum in the PRA's safety after they siezed Dymtris from the upper class, could not leave Dymtris in the first moments of peace in the world - living off of 'found' goods. Drea's mother, finding a traveling job and 'selling' 'found' 'goods' from those who thought they could live in noble houses all across the eastern continent. Once Drea came to the age where she knew how to lie - she did, to her whole families benefit. Begging for coins - and if nobody gave her coin she took it with her agile and soft movements. Following her parents who grew to love her very much, she could climb into small spaces easily as a child. Growing up, her parents ferried goods all across the eastern continent, and earned easy rewards from the war-torn cities. When Drea reached her teens, she took her first big job: Moving five families from Kaltir to Dymtris on foot, a haul that would be very hard to hide. At the time, the New Kingdom was rebuilding its border heavily - and Drea would have to move families one at a time, back and forth over the course of a week. Drea, a bit cocky after the first two families made it through with no problem, decided to bring the other three families all at once. They were found, middle of the night, all their fur coated in mushy snow - and Drea bolted, trying to encourage the families that followed her to run faster. The border was only a mile away, and only half a mile after that was Dymtris. Drea made it to Dymtris, with the rest of the families. Nobody was hurt, and this seeded an extremely cocky and gambling nature, in her. More adventures like this brought no consequences to her, and she certainly loved the money and affection she earned from all of it. Every city, and everyone she met with, she would brag , take, and give stories from across the continent. People in one town she frequented a lot began to know her as 'Born Again Kraszar', the god of stories and language. But, not all good things stay. While Drea was in Amohda after ferrying a family and a few pornos from the New Kingdom, the second revolution began. The television screens flashed - 'EMERGENCY BROADCAST' - and a Hharar man spoke of the death of President Hadii. After Njadrasanukii took office and put forward the strict rules, she immediately refused them - and apparently so did Nated'Hakhan, who began the ALA and took the city she was in, Amohda. The war made it harder to move supplies, but made everything more worth it. This war was going to make her rich, and a few friends she made along the way would benefit as well. Except the truth of war is that it's painful. People have died around Drea in this war, people have died being moved from city to city, people were no longer in peace, being a gambler and a risky person was not as easy. Drea was never one for politics, but everyone she trusted was with the ALA, and their cause sounded right to her. She started 'moving' supplies to ALA troops, taking her first few jumps in a cargo ship and bringing in weapons from Domina, prosthetic limbs from Tau Ceti, and food from Sol with a group of others in the same career. Everywhere she went, she made friends. If she was close to getting in trouble, she had scapegoats or fabricated truths that backed her up. This happened for years, with a few mishaps, and after a very successful job, she needs to try to get another base of operations beyond Adhomai, and what better place than the land of opportunity, where even toasters have freedom, Tau Ceti? What do you like about this character? Greed is good, and when I end up playing Drea, she's gonna learn that Tau Ceti deals with crime differently. Of course, being with the ALA she might get targeted by punks, and will have to somehow lie or swindle her way out of whatever issues people have with the ALA. She won't fight a fight over valuing the ALA over the Hadii, but she will help anyone who shares her ideals by, maybe, grabbing an item they'd want for them. How would you rate your role-playing ability? lol what's role-playing? i just play this game for fun lol Notes: ya

I agree, then

The incident of welding the prisoner in a locker: Security asked me to do that, and then after security moved the locker to the holding cell, I unwelded it. The prisoner came out and beat up the officer, I closed the locker and welded it again responding to that. I unwelded it after security said unweld it again, and security handled the rest while I went away. Onto the 'destroying the bar'. I started to take apart a table, moved a light floor from the rave center to under the table, and then you shot me. I stopped what I was doing, put the table back, and you shot me again. I fixed everything after you said 'Stop', and then after that, I asked you 'May I change the tables over there?' - and ever since then, I have been asking if I can do changes to the bar to every barkeep. Bloke Two is a character I play to watch the rounds, I walk around the station and build small 3 tile seating areas to write Haikus, (Which I learned how to do from another player), and I make friends that teach me how to do most of the things or language that Bloke uses. Bloke has been taught how to build stuff, hack vendors, play 'Even or Odd', frown, say 'Cool' and 'Friend', write haikus, and to compliment people a lot. I'll change my character to be something less 'Freaky'. I am just tired of you constantly berating me for doing near nothing. I'm changing my character to be less of a meme, but the only meme he was was his look of being grey-tide. The rest was just learnt from other people.

BYOND Key: Sleepy Wolf Character name: Sonorous Zouzoror Item name: Maraziite Throw Over Why is your character carrying said item to work? Zouzoror is a Maraziite, defending the rights to the one True Lord and her purity. The throw-over he wears proudly bears the flag of the Izweski Hegemony, stitched in bright colours on the front over his heart. Zouzoror, a previous garrison man of Skalamar, believes the flag stitched on to be a mark of hope to others. Item function(s): A poncho with two pockets for small items. Item description: A grey poncho, exclusively warn by members of the Maraziite Order. This one has the flag of the Izweski Hegemony stitched on. Item appearance: How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Jackboot said it well enough - The Maraziite Order has become a major aspect of the Unathi's reality off-station. It openly proclaims the wearer as a member of an inquisition accused of focusing more on oppressing religious minorities than protecting them. For Tha'kh Unathi it should be offensive to see someone brazenly walking around with it on. Other races may not particularly care, but nice if they do. The focus is on a subtle way of asserting the wearer's status in Hegemony society without having to openly declare it in really obtuse ways - The Izweski flag would also bring up conversation, or conflict. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Item name: Iron Mask Why is your character carrying said item to work? This mask, modeled after a fish, shows the specific aspect that Zouzoror took - The Fisherman. The fish, a symbol of food and prosperity, is needed most in this time of plague and hunger. Item function(s): Worn in the mask slot, can't be hooked up to internals, and provides armor to the face. Item description: A mask made of iron worn by members of the Maraziite Order. This one looks like it's modeled after a fish. Item appearance: How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? It being a fish might make a few humans laugh, but to any Unathi this mask would either bring hope, dread, or safety. Zouzoror, a lover of the term 'Iron Mask', uses it as his title, and him not having to grab a knock-off would do well.

Xander is a good friend and great roleplayer, after Klaus was set into the Interim HOS role one day, I watched them ACT like command, it was great. I'm sure Xander would do great in command, just make sure to do the paperwork >:^) -
Accepted, don't do anything bad.

The issue is we do not allow psychopaths. Please read over our rules extensively, I will accept this tomorrow.

As long as you read our rules, understand our server is heavy roleplay, and tell me where you went wrong and what caused me to put forward the ban, I will accept this.

[Denied] Ganondwarf's Unban Appeal.
SleepyWolf replied to Ganondwarf's topic in Unban Requests Archive
This is a day ban, you continually refused after I made it clear. I was trying to be nice by just giving you a bit of a heads up that it's not accepted, and that wearing a gas mask IS very uncomfortable. I stand with my decision. -
[Declined] Sleepy's Vaurca Lore Dev Application
SleepyWolf replied to SleepyWolf's topic in Developer Applications Archives
Involvement could be in actively trying to sell the gameboy-esq toys, actively using money in game to purchase things/tasks from people, and being greedy marketplace workers in cargo. Nanotrasen could make a deal, where they get 20% of the proffits, if you think that's a good way to reincorperate them being used again, even after working so hard. Honestly, there's tons of ways to get invovled, you just have to think like a greedy bug that doesn't know how capitalism works but is trying to get with it. Some bugs might hate the idea of this capitalism, but try to do it just to help the hive. Some might see everything as just a price tag - That stack of metal? Ten credits. Two seismic charges from mining? I'll sell it to you for 500 credits. As far as I assumed the new Zo'ra Queen was birthed in the underground of Biesel, but I would revert what I said and just keep that as a hypothetical way of communication - and why the Lesser Queens still aren't doing much, because there's no Queen that's there to help guide them all. -
Lord has been a great person to be with on the server, and I think he can be a great addition to the staff team because of his previous experience in bad behavior. I think that if you've broken the rules once and never do it again, you can spot others more easily with that same mindset. And Lord is an amazing person.

[Declined] Sleepy's Vaurca Lore Dev Application
SleepyWolf replied to SleepyWolf's topic in Developer Applications Archives
Their games would correlate to their jobs, a doctor would receive different patients in different conditions in the game and, once finishing their job, feel the satisfaction that all Vaurca get from a completed task. Here, it could also depend on the Vaurca-They could believe a perfect or job to just be no patients at all, where they're always in the perfect little hive simulation and simply sit, happy that their hive isn't dying. Or, it could be a constant stream of patients and such that will always keep them busy, etc etc. A Vaurca' s desire to be in VR is up to interpretation. Some Vaurca might see it as a way to prolong their lifetime, and be able to give commands without their body decaying, some might just enjoy their video games, and some might actually get the chemicals you said. It's really up to the player to decide. Real world versus VR, the real world will always be imperfect. Some unbound might seek to fix the imperfections and try and suspend their disbelief, trying to recreate their little simulation in real life. In the end, I don't want to restrict VR to only video games. Id also like to think of it as libraries of information, history, and maybe a public hivenet bar-like area where the unbound can talk, drink phoron, and have whatever simulations they want at any time. Maybe even have commanding drones from Hivenet VR be another game, like an RTS. I really think the gaming-aspect makes even unbound still "love" working, which I feel is the core aspect of the hive mindset. -
Ckey/BYOND Username: Sleepy Wolf Position Being Applied For Vaurca Lore Dev Past Experiences/Knowledge: I DM'd for five years with my close friends, and a few strangers. Made a huge world, with storytelling in the world, where they felt they had an impact. I made characters and species for this, along with a few different societies they lived in, and had to think about how my players would deal with some of the errors. Do you play Vaurca extensively? Why? I do, because I really enjoy their feel - space bug babies that need constant care and maintenance. Beggars, out in the streets begging for credits so that they can buy the k'ois that's been monopolized by Nanotrasen. Selling broods of drones, to get enough credits to barely survive. All of the hives - secretive and deceitful to anything that's not their own. They have so much to go off of, mostly on their natural greediness for materials and now realizing the value of credits after being monopolized in their own food source. If you were chosen for Lore Developer, what would your plans be for Vaurca? [suggested talking points: The nature of VR. The nature of Unbound and Bound. The nature of Vaurca's overall status in the galaxy.] Without their technology, the Vaurca would steal the 'Holodeck' vibe on Virtual Reality, making crowded rooms underground in the districts they live in - Unbound lazying around, enjoying this small taste of what they wish was more, but are dealing with. This 'Holodeck' would have huge monitors across the walls and ceiling, with holoprojectors in the ground for whatever the unbound wish to dream of. Exploring 'caves' with a holo-Vaur'ketz, having fake 'issues' that the Unbound would work together to fix, basically playing video games in one big cramped room - sometimes fighting over what games to play. Puzzle games, building games, Minecraft, and for only Warriors: FPS games. Now, my changes for their actual society would be having the Queen only communicate with Lesser Queens, who would have a squad of higher ranking Unbounds who would all have squads of lower ranking Unbounds. All of these would all have designated bound units from numbers between two and two hundred assigned to one unbound, or queen, to control and command. Hard work would yield rewards - The Queen would only talk to the Lesser Queens, and most Unbound work hard to become the closest they can to the Lesser Queens side - to receive the Queen's orders on their own antennae. More rewards would likely be the ability to go into the proper VR - plugging their neural port into the barely preserved VR tubes and floating in a maintained stasis to play the perfect game of Minecraft-In-Space. The Vaurca in Tau Ceti would become beggars, asking for handouts of credits after Nanotrasen releases the new 'Kois Bar' to public areas. On this, realizing the importance of the Credit finally, they would begin asking for credits in their trade deals with any companies, instead of phoron or metals. They would become greedy, stockpiling credits, constructing cheaper drone-based factories that make nanopaste, Thermal-drills and weapons, and a new form of 'Game-Toy', a game-boy like mini-pad to play portable VR games on. Nanotrasen's monopoly on the Vaurca k'ois would increase tensions - and force the Zo'ra hive to do some expansion. And now, with the Zo'ra Queen able to command the Lesser Queens properly, nestled in the bedrock of Biesel, they will try to begin rebuilding Titan Prime to help in the defense of their new home - finally being part in the effort to attack the Lii'dra, who's attacks have moved closer and more common to the center of the Republic of Biesel. And, finally, Honour is not something in their society at all - Loyalty is unquestionable to the Hive, and was not a word to them beforehand. The Queen would have Kings that do nothing but fertilize eggs, and the Kings are the only males - selectively bred and kept in storage like Queens. There are usually ten Kings to a Queen. TLDR; Vaurca become greedy beggars and find the meaning of money, capitalize on their own ability to buy things after trading drone workforces for credits, use those credits to make a hand-held video game toy and sell that, along with a few guns, and then use the money from that to try and rebuild Titan Prime so they can get defense from the Lii'dra. Also, they are video game junkies now. Would you embark on major or minor rewrites of Vaurca lore? If yes, why is your rewrite worth it? No, I'd only grow and expand on what Fowl has done, making a leap forward in what Fowl has been building up to.

BYOND Key: Sleepy Wolf Character name: Asimo Item name: Big Guy - AKA - Asimo's Durable Chassis Why is your character carrying said item to work? Asimo is a creation of upgrades, random parts, and advances in research. Item function(s): Android sprite Item description: A collection of old, new, and used parts put together in a durable chassis that's lasted years. It looks like a modified Asimov model. Item appearance: How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? As a very ugly unit, Asimo is obviously old, with weathered parts, a huge cumbersome armour piece, and mis-matched pieces. Asimo has been active since 2411, 48 years, two years before contact with Skrell. Before this time, posibrains were not even successfully made, and Asimo was a basic robot, running on the Asimov lawset. Running like this for almost 24 years after that, Asimo began receiving upgrades as technology progressed - a posibrain being installed as soon as they became available in Nanotrasen. Being an engineering model - the sturdier and more long lasting units - allowed this unit to live on so long, parts being replaced. Additional comments:

[Accepted] Sleepy's Unathi Application
SleepyWolf replied to SleepyWolf's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Basically, he'd avoid EVA operations, avoid building anything, and avoid hard reinforcing walls. He'd mess things up a bit, like when repairing a wall accidentally dislodge the girder and put the cover of the wall on badly, where it can be moved and opened, he could repair windows but only with glass he has - he won't weld any glass, and he'd probably leave the windows dislodged. Basically he can repair things, but if someone were to inspect the things they'd find he doesn't screw in the windows - he leaves gaps in walls, and he can very slowly repair airlocks over time and training while pretending to know what he's doing. Hopefully someone will take his neglect of his job fine, and teach him a bit - but he might just end up being fired and I'll have to put him in a lower civilian role like janitor.
