  1. I agree 100%. This would be a godsend for antags as well as encouraging people to actively communicate with their co workers and be active participants.
  2. I think CSI should not gain more access, and possibly loose morgue access. I think autopsy and such should be in the realm of the medical department. should they retain morgue access Medical should still maintain primary responsibility over bodies and the CSI should have to work with medical on autopsy.
  3. That doesn't address any of my concerns nor is it any sort of comfort at all. as that requires the following things. 1 A belief that I will receive a fully honest answer, 2 a belief that I can take action on said information, and 3 A belief that it is more than just an empty face saving gesture. of which I have none
  4. Ok. so if I have this right. there is a forum that only a small subset of players have access to. where they can talk about other players as they please. which according to you includes writing notes that affect IC interaction from information from other players. say what you want but this screams foul play to me. and on your second point on how we don't deserve to know? we absolutely do. This is a game, this is not a real corporation, this is not real life. there is NOTHING gained from restricting players from this information. then you say just because a small group of players want something they will get it no matter what? what I am reading here is that a group of players think they have been basically meta grudging people in their own little clubhouse, want to make this official and codified, and when you find out we may not want this. your response is to flip the board and tell everyone they don't deserve to know information related to their character in a game and that all of this doesn't even matter as you will do it no matter what.
  5. Taking a measure like that only worsens the issues brought up by people, including myself. Since now this list of damning cross round information exists out of players reach. Not only would moving it to the Head of Staff forum not be an improvement in the slightest, now there can be OOC information affecting my rounds that I do not have access to. that would be like making new rules, but only putting it on the staff forums. but worst of all this screams "if the community doesn't give us what we want we will do it anyway in our secret clubhouse" And to re-iterate my issues. non removable notes are a problem and place to much power in the hands of one group of players. it gives the threat that if you do not fully follow the beat of their drum you will have a penalty slapped onto your character that will follow you from now on. and before people say "well just do what they say" its not that simple. while I'm not saying people should disobey constantly, but forcing people into lockstep or penalize kills role play, while also leaving much room for favoritism. And having to appeal via CCIA doesn't fix this, it just means more of a tangled web of IC/OOC bureaucracy that may or may not be biased in favor of the head of staff. If Head of Staff notes on char records could be removed by players if they saw fit, without the need for staff or IC staff aid this would fix this issue. it would allow people to continue to RP conflicts and issues cross round, while also protecting against any abuse.
  6. This feels like containment breaches, chaos, and general bedlam waiting to happen from this. As well as cool RP which may or may not be connected to the previous point. I love it.
  7. I think this is an amazing idea. Right now there is no real danger in a lot of situations as salvation and un-killable death machines are just a swipe away.
  8. To be quite honest, if medical examiner was a thing they should be in medical department. And on medical access there is nothing stopping a CSI from just asking the medical personal. being able to slip in and slip out with a corpse or other things from medical will cause a lot of miscommunication. also if I am being fully honest on my opinion I would say autopsy should be fully medical's jurisdiction.
  9. Yes what sweet hell is this when only one side of an issue will be logged, where a player who may be angry with me in the moment can take an action that will affect my character forever. This is to broad of powers to be given IC to a group of players.
  10. I am fully in support of this. I feel like death is to cheap. if someone dies no one bats an eye, no one mourns as they can be brought back within minutes. this heavily hurts the stakes in conflict where there are no real stakes. as well as traitors can not really "remove" people that may oppose them from the round. while yes they could "destroy cloning" but for a single traitor to do that ON TOP of their other goal is to much. having no cloning would give actions weight, hostage situations stakes, and make space a much more lethal place which I think is for the best.
  11. as a player I am unsure how comfortable I am with another player being able to change my records and other things with heavy IC consequence without my approval and also me being unable to remove it. It discourages me from trying things or RPing things that may conflict with a head of staff IC or OOC for fear of retribution. I would support this fully if players could remove them.
  12. I have seen defibs done on other servers as bringing people back withing X amount of minutes after death as long as their injuries are not to much. this gives more room for rescue and recovery. but on cloning and being out of the round, Death should be avoided. while this is obvious I think death is cheap right now. Come any disaster or attack the crew can replace its numbers quickly. Same point I made before really. while it sucks to be out of a round as a char you want to play, it adds more weight to actions. if someone dies it changes from a temporary setback to them being GONE.
  13. I think Removing cloning is a great idea. to echo what others have said death is cheap. Ive steadily been playing more and more medical and it feels like apathy is key, as no matter what we can clone them. no one stays dead for long so if an antag kills off people who could hinder them, such as say the detective or heads of staff, all they are really doing is taking a major risk to remove them for all of fifteen minutes, as well as many people seemingly not reacting to the death of their fellow as they know they will be back. the defib idea is great as it gives medical a chance to pull a hail mary save while still not being a magical revive button.
  14. I think adding in firing pins, especially when they are not in the hands of the science department for their own work, is adding complication and hurdles where they are not needed. Making science have to ask for and justify supplies needed to do their job is red tape for red tapes sake. it would be like Medical having to ask security to unlock a locker with surgical supplies because they can be used to hurt people.
