  1. Psych being part of medical is good as it allows communication between them and the rest of medical, as well as lets them be part of a department of people to hang out with when nothing is happening.
  2. I like ghosts having LOOC, being able to be walked through something by a ghost or be given mechanical advice I think is a benefit to the game and community. as well as situations like communicating to robotics as a ghost vis a vi posi and other such ghost roles. if people are salting as ghosts in LOOC just bwoink them. Don't cut off your nose to spite your face
  3. Security has the homefield advantage, as well as support of medical/engineer/synths. so I don't think six is to much. As well as the station will have 15-25 people usually to pull from as well if security gets clobbered. so I think a max of six. maybe scale it with pop so with very high pop the amount of hostiles goes up.
  4. simplest solution is just disarm the IAC ERT and keep them in rotation. also I do agree IAC with Katapracths doesn't make much sense as the Kataprachts are essentially just vigilantes. but yeah maybe an IAC auxiliary with the TCFL would be interesting.
  5. yeah im with Danse, kinda sick of them at this point and doing this would make it worse
  6. hasn't sold me. I think AI is still workable, and I believe it is a shame to loose such a unique feature.
  7. I think the AI is one of the most unique aspects of SS13, and I enjoy playing it greatly. I think it would truly be a shame to loose it, so I do not think it should be unmapped.
  8. I understand that, and I think that makes it "random" in the sense of the resulting person is whoever clicks join first. so it may as well be random to the person who opens the ghost spawner. I could have phrased my post better.
  9. sure, that's near impossible to stop. but if a ghost spawn role is implemented it should not be limited only to their friends. doing a mechanic like that is just codifying meta buddies. I think the idea of an assitant or body guard role is amazing, but I believe it should be done via ghost spawner that anyone can join, or a job slot.
  10. I think a ghost spawn is best. as that person would be "trusted" and same faction. a diplomat isn't hiring a secretary off the street to handle their sensitive paperwork. I also think if it is a ghost spawn role it should be random, and not "selected". the barrier of entry to a role should be joining it, not being friends with someone.
  11. I think the best solution is just give them rubbers, and call it a day. having a gun for self defense fits the detective as they are often off interviewing, and tracking down people to talk to. So a weapon for self defense fits both from an IC and OOC perspective.
  12. just slap the shitters, IC and OOC. we do not need to babyproof every role.
  13. I'm definitely interested in this! thank you considering doing this.
  14. there's nothing shitsec from maglighting you into next week already. Or just kicking you in the ribs while your down. I'm for this
  15. I say keep it, as Is right now. Another option. I worked briefly on adding a new alt title to bring back "virologist" maybe make it so the virus event only spawns if there is a virologist aboard.
  16. As someone who digs playing both Detective, and forensics tech. I love this and have wanted it for awhile. leave them as alt titles, add in two sets of equipment, and merge the offices into one big investigative suite.
  17. the scarabs have been around for 30 years. maybe allow them to be CMO, CE, or RD?
  18. add in a power loader being able to delimb? sure. another crewmember? yeah no limbs don't come off easily. also this would abused so fucking hard.
  19. as a bonifida medical main, I can say easily I don't think this is an issue. we still have "core" chems. and most people on their belt carry the same drugs they did before, now with norepinephrine swapped with inaprovoline. and those chems will carry you through 9/10 scenarios easy. the learning curve has not changed, there has just been a bump in needing refamiliarization. I have been playing medical for years and I don't know what every drug does off the top of my head, and I do just fine. yeah, the antibiotic/viral took some getting used to. but I got used to it. I will also parrot what others have said in that naming a drug after an IRL over the counter drug is bad. and having stuff like "Infexicillin" just doesn't feel right
  20. +1 from me, good guy to play with and interact with IC and OOC, and knows his stuff in regards to the department he wants to head.

    Remove Cargonia

I think this is 100% un-needed. Removing QM because some people are shitters is cutting off your nose to spite your face. it is a role people play often and it would be a shame to remove it, and to whitelist it I think is also bad In regards to guns and powergaming. That is an issue that needs to be ahelped and enforced by staff if it is done unreasonably. removing mechanical systems because a few people suck is a terrible way to go about this. Making players depend on command to do every thing is not fun or interactive gameplay. I can remember when things from science came out of the protolathe in lockboxes, it sucked, and it hurt RP and round progression of the story. I think below this issue is the major issue of securities monopoly on violence and peoples attitudes towards that. we should be having that conversation instead of talking about removing QM and nerfing departments into the dirt TL:DR. this is a community/Enforcement issue. removing mechanics would be a shame and cutting off our nose to spite our face.
  22. 100% support this, a deadmans switch in the uplink would be great.
  23. I'd prefer if there where more or equal nurses than physicians. what if we drop MD/Surgeon slots to 2-3 total. roll the remaining slots, and the intern/resident role into one. make them all alt titles. Bay handles this issue well. there are oodles of slots in medical, but only 3 doctors including the CMO. the rest are corpsman, medical technicians, and so on.
  24. I think shrapnel and bullets should be buffed. and I always like increased lethality
