  1. I haven't looked too far into that rounds log, but I did do a search for your characters name and your ckey. You were never winded, the op you were fighting was attacking you on disarm until you fell over, then switched to harm intent for 12 hit's with the shovel and three hit's with a pickaxe. Only one person was winded that round and they logged immediately. Well, then I am wrong, but I don't really remember being knocked down by him, due to the lack of attack messages before being talked by Tenenza, but if you did look into the matter, I believe I am trully mistake and the only issue here is the warning due to the emergency shutters.
  2. BYOND Key: Alberyk Staff BYOND Key: Tenenza, since he was the one to speak to me regarding the situation. Reason for complaint: So, nuke round, 23 of september. So, I was playing an ipc roboticist, Zairjah, then people yell for help at cargo and since I am near I make my way to it. And there, I find Echo, played by NebulaFlare, struggling against a shovel-wielding nuclear operative. So, Zairjah break inside the cargo office, and meanwhile the nuclear operative is buckled at a rollerbed by Echo and pushed into the door, and the emergency shutters closed on him due to the fire alarm. Then, the new cop justs stands there, punching Zairjah and trying to get a carbine and shield, that just falls from his hands, due to code. An image to illustrate his situation; http://i.imgur.com/0Y3yJJJ.jpg So, since only the mob sprites shows above the shutters, he was unable to click on the roller bed and free himself, using that way, but, anyone could just alt plus click the title in question and just free himself. He was not stunned, neither cuffed, he was able to punch someone and even pick up items from his bag. He was just not aware how a certain mechanic of this game works. Then, he claimed over looc that he was bugged and probably ahelped. Then, I open the firelock and free him from the bed, so we could just cable cuff the horrifying shovel-wielding terrorist. He runs into the mining bay and Zairjah after him, then we have probably the most exciting scene of all round; This afternoon, at the mining dock arena, we have a clash of robustness titans! At this side, ladies and gentlemen of all Tau-Ceti; Urist MacNewcop! Hailing from some criminal neighboord at biesel, with weight and height unknow, using the shovel as his weapon of choice (while the mining pickaxe is far more robust) and wearing a gorlex marauder hardsuit! And at the other side; Zairjah! Hailling from the Hephaestus Robotics Division, with 170 centimeters of height and 253. Lb of pure steel covered in a sick Amaranth paint job, using the upgraded wielding tool as its weapon of choice (the favorite tool, and weapon, of the most robust engineers and roboticist of all tau-ceti!) and wearing the roboticist jumpsuit and a labcoat! Zairjah charge at the nuclear operative, with its welding tool set aflame and then…! I was winded by an admin, probably Tenenza, since they bwoinked myself to ask about the bed, which is clearly not a bug, and even because of that, a player got an unfair warning regarding it. Then, while I was winded and talking to Tenenza, the new cop just proced to smack zairjah’s head with the shovel. Yes, the antag was not winded and he just proceeded to keep the fight, then, Zairjah was saved by a late security officer that batoned and cuffed the shovel menace. Then, I returned to robotics and use the analyser on my character to find out, that the antag was able to inflict 40 points of brute. Time for math (bear with me, I am a student of law, not physics) The shovel has a force of: 8 points. The IPC race has a brute reduction of half, so each strike would deal around 4 of damage. Therefore, the nuke op was able to bash Zairjah’s head around ten or more times, since melee weapons can miss too. So, all of the strikes happened while my character was winded due to an admin speaking to me. I was also unable to count the strikes since Zairjah got knocked unconsciously after the first one. So, I would like to point that Tenenza made probably a hasty judgment, or even at worst; arbitrary. Since, he interrupted a valid and well escalated conflict to paralyse and question a player, while the other had free reign to just keep the robusting alive. So, I just believe that Tenenza would make a better choice if he wait until the IC situation was over and then questioned us. But, besides the bad choice of acting and timing, is the fact that he gave a warning to the other person involved on the situation, which I have become aware far later on the round, which did not abuse a bug or anything else. So, if someone hides a bear trap under the sprite of bag, would it be a bug abusing too? since, that is what happened to the nuke op. He just had to alt click the title and the bed, nothing else. It was not a bug and I am sure that Nebula was not intending to do so, that is what happens with things on the floor when an emergency shutters closes. At all, I just wish this situation to be cleared and ask for Tenenza to explain why he was so hasty at his judgement and made such arbitrary decisions, for example; just widding one side and stopping a valid ic conflict. And of course, if possible, the removal of such unfair warning. Evidence/logs/etc: I didn't save anything from that round. Additional remarks: Sorry for any grammatical errors, English is not my native language.
  3. That kinda reminders me of the event we had with a bounty hunter and a target, it was given some hints to the bounty hunter about his target. But, the bounty hunter just had a lawgiver, a syndie radio, a soft suit and a jetpack as gear, so, not all hints were correct at all, which let a lot of room for possible candidates. And it ended with a diona disarming the bounty hunter of its gun and engineering ganging up against it, because it didn't left the engineering break room.
  4. Recharges will work at the operative shuttle, if you are able to steal one. The one at the security checkpoint or the firing range are easier targets, you just need to wrench them and place them back at the ship. So, you can just recharge the carbines. Also, emp grenades are effective weapons when fighting against security, mostly at early game, due to the fact it will discharge energy weapons and their tasers too (but it will drain only 5% of the batons power cell). Also, nuke operatives will have a better time fighting against bullets, since their hardsuits have a bigger protection against them than to lasers. But, remember that implants, carbines, fellow ipc operatives or with robotics limbs and things like the thermals may react badly to emps. And the most reliable way to get ballistics is the cargo, which can be clipped, otherwise the crew may have to wait for ert or research to print weapons. For surgery, a saw can be essential, which can be found easily at the cargo protolathe, or just raid the surgery room if possible.
  5. That is a valid strategy when you have to face an enemy that can listen to your communications but can't speak a certain tongue. Like when Yinzr and Akenzua were deployed on eva to deal with nuclear operative and security was aware their channel was breached, to relay information to each other they were speaking in Sinta'unathi.
  6. Except by the fact that the hegemony has a navy and bluespace capacity by the lore, also about tajaran; http://aurorastation.org/forums/viewtopic.php?p=31467#p31467 They don't, ethnicities are not the same as tribes. But, yeah, you have far more reasons to be racist against tajaran and unathi. Tajaran due to a visible anti-human minority, that is prone to do terrorist attacks, and unathi for their well know raiding and piracy activities across the human space.

  8. In the lore, M'sai and Zhan would be fit for security work, while Njarir seems to lean to more intellectual and leadership oriented jobs.

  10. The vampire's stun skills works against the ipcs. Ipcs can be converted and pretty sure that all runes affect them, cult can also have access to the emp rune and blood boil still damage them. Under the actual code, ipcs can be facehugged by xenomorphs and gibbed. Emag just damage the limb you are aiming at, don't do anything else to them. But, yes, as traitor you have few tools to deal with them, besides emp or the stun prod.

  12. Login:Tarasque Password:******* >Login accepted Hegemon Shadow Service Victory is the Honour The infiltration at the NanoTrasen research station was a success. I arrived in a mid of a security crisis as an officer, and then I was able to gain the trust of the security team while helping to shut down other probably agents. At some point research was producing a large amount of weaponry, I managed to shut down their research and arrest the science under the charges of contraband and resisting arrest, while keeping the weapons and other objects to myself. Later at the crew transfer, I executed the scientist which was still under custody at the brig, and then managed to drug and kidnap another security officer, which by her records showed a lot of years and experience working with NanoTrasen. To avoid the NanoTrasen authorities at central command, a escape pod was hijacked and then, I fleed the station, with several research prototypes, the spare id of the captain and the officer was my bounty. To take our rightful place at this universe, we will need weapons, and to weaken our enemies. As my ancestors did, I am ready to spill blood and have my own blood shed for the glory of the hegemony.

  14. They don't need to breath. They feel no pain, which means they will keep fighting until the very end. They have no bones to be broken, They don't bleed. They don't sufffer from internal bleeding and organ damage. They don't process any kind of chemical. They can't be flashed. They can't have their eyes stabbed. They don't suffer from radiation. They can't be affected by any changeling stings. They can't get sick. They take far less brute damage. They take some extra seconds at no pressure before taking damage. They can fixed rather easily, just with welder and cables, or nanopaste. They can store chemicals inside their body, like a walking beaker. They can't be affected by genetics shenanigans. Just let me illustrate the situation for you; Urist MacAntag fires the revolver. Urist MacRobot is hit by the bullet in the chest! The ipc takes half of the damage, has no broken bones, damaged organs, no pain and no internal bleeding. Urist MacAntag fires the revolver. Urist MacPeople is hit by the bullet in the chest! The organic one has a broken chest, damaged organs, a lot of pain and probably a internal bleeding.

  16. Pretty much you can deal with this using ic means, like duty officers, which seems to be working, mostly to the recent events and directives about them. About the character itself, besides ignoring the orders from Odin at the cult round or being a 28 years old captain (which don't fits the requirements to be employed at this role, but, pretty sure that Safiya is too younger for her role at genetics research, or other heads of staff that don't fill same requirements and no one seems to care about) or being a not so exemplar at its role, nothing really that wrong. But, I kinda agree that hindering people's work because of ic racism can be somewhat questionable, since, you are supposedly stopping research due to it If you are playing a non-human, you should expect different treatment from people. What is the purpose of playing a xeno if you wish people to treat you in the same way they would deal with humans. Few people are up to roleplay their characters prejudices, or even include them. Besides the fact that are few things on the lore that would give you reason to have some kind of racism against certain kind of aliens, besides the pure fact they are aliens.

  18. Nearly sure it is. Still, I don't see how they can have their own tongue, most machines won't even share a common background, I mean; other aliens at least have a common cultural and biological background, while ipcs are just machines built by different people for different purposes.

  24. Expect when you fleed from the brig before saying you would be put at solitary, which you got dragged to it because you probably stole boards and was disabling cameras, you didn't drop the baton, you keep trying to dodge bullets even after I fired a warning shoot at your leg. So, you pushed the warden and keepted stunning him after running twice from security, since I had no other way to disable you without getting hit by the baton, I fired once, but, you keept resisting until the third shoot just surprisingly removed your leg. It was self- antagging; by pushing an officer and stealing his baton, running twice from the imprisonment and then, ignoring the pain of being shoot at the leg with a .38 bullet. Besides probably stealing the boards and cutting the camera's wires.
  25. I remember once when I gave a vampire a choice to rp when I just could fry it alive with my carbine. He ran towards me, used his power, stole my weapon and killed me alonside with another officer without any words, just to keep running around using mist form. So, sadly there are few antags players that we can trust to roleplay the situation rather than just using it to outrobust you.
