  1. Heyo Truth be told that round took place very late so I'm probably not top of my game however I will actually disagree on this point. I just wished for an apology lol. Probably shouldn't have gotten the commander to try order them into it but in character I was pretty pissed they were refusing to come and actively avoiding me after insulting the company Liaisons and I had just dealt with being fed another person's dead body and another IPC claiming I had bribed the IPC in the brig so I believe going to the bar for a drink and then having to deal with that leading to being a slight bit sensitive towards them was justified. OOC I love those characters but IC I was at the end of my rope with damn robots and just wanted to get an apology
  2. Heyo. We talked about this on the discord but posting it here so it's visible. Ye I was absolutely at fault during that and I even realised that I hadn't been the best after the situation was over lol. I absolutely took it from self defence to more antag hunting once the bullets started flying. I absolutely will try to tone that down in future rounds seeing as I have an intense dislike for valid hunting. Appreciate da +1
  3. Heyo! Sorry about waiting to get back to you. I was in round lol l am indeed aware that I spent far to long speaking to you despite how enjoyable it was. I'd love to blame that on the extremely tiny manifest but I more think I just found your EMT too interesting haha. As for my response about how my answer correlates: My believe my CL leans far more on the "Create unique scenarios" side of my answer and the section mentioning being able to learn from them. I often do my best to come up with unique non antag gimmicks before round to play out as CL such as inviting a certain person into my office to discuss what I believe would be best for there future, offering schooling opportunity ETC that I believe would make an interesting round for the person I plan to speak to. Role-play is both ways so if it's only going to appeal to me then that's a bad idea. As for being able to learn side of things it is mostly regarding answering questions about the SOP and law to the best of my ability. I did extensive reading into both before playing CL so that I could be sure that in the event someone is confused I am able to provide the correct answer with speed and truthfulness. One thing CL struggles with is the ability to directly effect the round however assuming you are persuasive enough it is often extremely easy to convince command staff the "right answer" regarding a situation. This allows a lot of freedom but as a part of that you have to ensure you are doing so in a way that is enjoyable for everyone. Whilst it is not as threatening as say the HOS you have to be extra careful to avoid antag hunting situations because often I've found traitors will seek you out with more roleplay orientated gimmicks Anywho I'm rambling now and it's late lmao
  4. Very well. Feedback taken on board. I shall attempt to interact more with people around the station. It is appreciated
  5. I do believe that the round this occurred in was the odd one out due to a OOC issue that occurred at the start of it. I will be glad to see if I can change your opinion in the rounds that follow.
  6. Welp I gave a +1 before the trial and I've got no idea if I can give extra feedback now the trial has begun but.... I got to interact with there CMO during a round today and they played a fun character that was enjoyable to interact with and we had some fun banter. That's a big +1 from me
  7. I got to ask lots of questions to there character Arwa Nixion who was Sol gov consular as a security officer and they answerd my snarky political fueled questions in such a good way I thought they must've been playing the role since it came out. It wasn't until browsing whitelist apps I saw they are on trial. Absolute +1
  8. Heyo I appreciate your comment about the character idea and I've actually been putting thought into it recently (Mainly because designing characters is always good fun) and it's a bit more complicated then I placed in the character description but basically he already had good connections and it was more a goal of... rebuilding them then anything. It was totally a bit of a personality crisis and he spent a large period of time being spoiled only to go to poverty and be forced to try climb out. Only to be saved by his uncle. He's heard the horror stories of people getting inheritance money only to spend it all and fall back to poverty so he's become really dedicated to working alongside the money to ensure he has a steady source of income as well as balancing the more political side of his life with his family on Oran. As for becoming representative of NT, his reformed political connections, extreme dedication to ensure he never ends up the way he was only 10 years prior and large amount of money has allowed him to climb the corporate ranks at a decent pace.
  9. Absolute +1 IRU-Dauphine is an awesome security IPC and roleplayed very well.
  10. He is clearly capable of playing a wide array of characters why are enjoyable to interact with. +1 from me
  11. +1 The man clearly has a great grasp on roleplay and are both cool IC and OOC.
  12. BYOND key: Connorjg1 Character names: -Nathan Forger - Security Officer -Garren Whitrun - Roboticist How long have you been playing on Aurora?: 3 Months Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Because I wish to play as an NT Representative aboard the Aurora. Why did you come to Aurora?: I am a Baystation 12 player and I was looking for other servers that were both HRP and had a Corporate Liaison role as an option. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Extensively Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?: N/A. I've also not been banned from any server in the past and if possible I hope to keep it that way Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think Roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is about working together with other people to create entirely fictional situations that to you feel real. It's about collaborative storytelling and creating emotions with nothing but words and pixels on a screen. Roleplay should be about about figuring out what to do in unique and ever changing situations whilst attempting to immerse yourself into the shoes of someone other then yourself. If you've managed to create a situation that you could tell to someone else that is coherent and could feasibly happen then you've succeed in my eyes What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: To ensure that players work together and have someone that can guide them as well as create unique situations that wouldn't be possible without a good leader. A head of staff should be someone you can learn from or rely upon both in character and OOC. A good head of staff could make or break someones round, with them having the highest power to be able to direct the chaos on the station in a way that is fun for everyone. A head of staff shouldn't strive to win. They should strive to create a fun round. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: A whitelisted player should be a exemplary symbol of Roleplay and sensible action. You should be able to rely upon whitelisted players knowledge of Roleplaying and trust them to guide the Roleplay in a situation in unique and interesting directions as well as having a good understanding of what makes Roleplay fun but also understanding that different players enjoy different things without being overbearing in there own personnel play style. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?: Tau Ceti is currently in the midst of changing times and there's never been a better chance to bring about great change. But this also comes with dangers. Rumours of worsening tensions between various factions put great strain on galactic peace and with every passing day the newscaster brings bad news. Kanara views this as both a blessing and a curse. It has given him a chance to turn his life around for the better using his new found wealth to secure a position within NanoTrasen. But he also worries that the Mega-corporation's may become further embroiled in any sort of major actions in the future and is well aware his entire life sits upon a sand castle. What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?: Liaison. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: -Cart Kanara. Corporate Liaison - A man who only recently came into possession of a large sum of money due to the passing of his uncle. The money bought him out of poverty and has given him a chance to turn his life around but his time in poverty has softened him. He hopes he can be ruthless if he has to be. How would you rate your own Roleplaying?: In the past I have done a lot of gm’ing and other roleplay games but unfortunately am not quite sure how I would rate myself. Let’s say 7/10. Could do worse could do better Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?: Clear as day Have you familiarised yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?: Extremely. I've read it a lot of times Extra notes: A second try. Didn't get any feedback on the first app due to an inability to play (Javascript bug) that started 2 days after I made the whitelist. New laptop and a working Aurora. Time to try this again.
  13. Ah thanks man. Sorry about nothing thanking you earlier I thought I had
  14. Good HOP. Role played a good consistent character and would've fooled me if not for my radio encryption key as Antag. Someone I'd be glad to know in real life being the best praise I can give someones character
  15. +1 Awesome role-player and an epic Forensics technician. It really feels like he could be a real FT
  16. Also somehow stuffed up the bolding. Sorry bout that
  17. BYOND key: Connorjg1 Character names: -Nathan Forger -Caricor Forger How long have you been playing on Aurora?: 2 Months Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Because I wish to roleplay as the NT Liaison my most played role across all of SS13. Aurora has unique lore to explore and I'd love to once again represent NT. Why did you come to Aurora?: I am a Bayplayer who was looking for another HRP server with Liaison. I saw you had it as a role and decided to check out the server. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Extensively Have you received any administrative actions? And how serious were they?: N/A Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think Roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay is about working together with other people to create entirely fictional situations that to you feel real. It's about collaborative storytelling and creating emotions with nothing but words and pixels on a screen. Roleplay should be about working together with others and testing your characters and how they respond to situations to create unique and thrilling opportunities and adventures together. If at the end you've created a story you could get someone else invested in you've more then succeeded What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: To ensure that players work together and have someone that can guide them. A server with no leaders would fall into chaos with people arguing over whose ideas are better or being unable to decide. Another reason for Heads is to guide players on how to accomplish tasks. A good head engineer to teach a new player could make or break that person's ss13 engineering experience. Lastly it gives new players something to aspire for, to be able to lead like that or able to fix the ship like that. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: A whitelisted player should be a exemplary symbol of Roleplay and sensible action. A whitelisted player should strive to put other players in unique Roleplay situations and create dynamic situations for other people and should be an example of what players can be. This is not to say they should be infallible but instead they try to uphold the best elements of what makes roleplay fun. Could you give us the gist of what is currently happening in Tau ceti and how it affected your character and their career?: My Liaison has grown to watch the constant state of unease that affects the galaxy at large and despite his reservations at first grown to a comfortable position working for the very people he swore off at first. However he feels war is on the horizon and his reservations about getting a loyalty implant have only been increased as time goes on. How can tell if his feelings are his own anymore or just the feelings someone else wants him to have? What roles do you plan on playing after the application is accepted?: Liaison. Characters you intend to use for command or have created for command. Include the job they will be taking.: -Cart Kanara. Corporate Liaison How would you rate your own roleplaying?: In the past I have done a lot of gm’ing and other roleplay games but unfortunately am not quite sure how I would rate myself. Let’s say 8/10. Could do worse could do better Do you understand your whitelist is not permanent, and may be stripped following continuous administrative action?: Clear as day Have you familiarize yourself with the wiki pages for the command roles?: Yes.
