I for one am strongly opposed to this. It's adding another step to the 'getting ready' phase of the game with the added bonus of having to tediously change our jumpsuits, and grab a few token items before jumping on the shuttle ignoring everyone around us because If we aren't quick our character will be summarily deleted. The time frame Arrow suggested I feel doesn't allow for any of that communication between co-workers at shift-start this is suppose to encourage. You grab you shit, and go as soon as you can to do what you joined to do. It's not much of an issue with the little time given, but what about Borgs, and AI, and Off-station Antags? Could a wizard jump into the station, and threaten security before they could get at their gear? Malf merrily has time to screw some things up before crew can funnel in through the one or two exits from arrivals? Science/Chemistry/Engineering Borg start stuff before crew even boards. This is in addition to the Ghetto ERT, or the "The station is dying can't tell anyone here on the Odin they'll just laugh at me. 'Everything is fine NO FAX HERE'" Assuming comms stay. In short. I'm seeing this screwing with a lot of things that don't need screwing with, and getting little in return. Immersion is great, but this is a game. I for one am happy to give up the immersion of having to Change cloths/Get my stuff/drive my car/bus/space shuttle to work in exchange for the anti-frustration feature of the game assuming that I do that enough in real life, and I'll be happy to have it all done for me, and conveniently place me where I'm suppose to be with the stuff I'm suppose to have.

I've been itching for a bit of shadowrun for a while, and it is indeed how I envision some of the backworkings of our own corporate run Galaxy. I'd be super interested in this if the OP is still thinking about it, but some of that interest comes down to which version we're playing.

My question revolves around my feeling that Garn misused his admin abilities to bus another ghost into my corpse to further his own Antagonist goals, and denying me the option, and possibility however slim to reenter the round as that character as a non-antag. Is this usage of admin abilities typically allowed to further antagonist actions they themselves are personally perpetrating upon the crew? I don't know, and couldn't get a concrete answer from any of the staff online. Additional remarks:I have a personal distaste for Garn's style of play when antaging, and while I might not agree with that style. It is no less valid within the rules than the style I try to follow. Hello, Player of Oliver Roadman here the CE for that round. I joined after start to hear that we had a visitor, and he was being watched. Well on my way back from someone venting themselves in cargo the first thing I see the wizard do is jack my Headset. I tell Security, and leave it to them being it's their territory, and I have a breach to fix. Later on the wizard popped back in said a quick word returned my headset, after all I think he had the captain's at this point, and poofed away before I could really say anything. It was pretty much a lost cause no one could keep up with the wizard who kept jumping around doing stuff until a new AI got cycled in. Soon after the AI started to track the wizard he EMP bombed it. The AI fixed itself the first time, and it got EMP bombed again.We fixed it a second time before the wizard jumped in carded it, and jumped out before I knew what in the hell was going on. The last time I saw the wizard, and the most interaction I got from him. was he popped in used Subjugate, and ordered me to drag the nuke into escape before jumping out again. I considered following the command since it said I was completely overwhelmed, but since the spell seemed to give me jelly legs, and the inability to move for five minutes I reasoned it wasn't a suggestionesque spell as it was trying to be used. That's all I really remember happening the wizard jumped around, and was causing a massive headache to command, and security.

I'm also fairly certain you can skip the pop up if you use an object like your ID on the shutter instead of your empty hand.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: I believe OOCly Heads of Staff whether they're actively playing a head, or not should try to meet a higher standard of quality in their behavior, and roleplay than other players who have yet to, or choose not to take on the responsibilities associated with a whitelist. This is not meant to be super serious all the time, but whitelisted players should try and know when it's time to draw the line. This mostly goes in line with not so much a role model, but at least an example of what's encouraged of both characters, and roleplay on the server. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Elim Castel Character age: 52 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): "Elim Castel grew up as a farmer, who became a pilot, an explorer, a husband, and a father. He had many jobs, and held many titles over his life, but there was always one that stood out, one title that he held onto. At the end of the day Elim Castel was a damned fine Scout." - Gregory Parker Scout Commodore, Operations Office. January 21st 2454 "If I knew the back-taxes I owed I would of stayed dead..." - Commander Elim Castel, December 2nd 2457 Castel will tell those who ask, eventually, that he grew up on a small farming world out on the Mid rim. He'll also be quick to emphasis just how much he hated being on that 'miserable mudball they call a planet.' At the age of Eighteen he signed up with an explorer ship heading out of the system. He enlisted into the Scouts, a primarily exploration, and surveying service, and never looked back. He spent the majority of his twenties as crewman serving in whatever capacity he could aboard any vessel he could get a berth on. After at least a decade in the field service he finally slowed down enough to get his degree, and his choice of assignments. He met his future-wife during this time, and despite his best efforts. He never could get back to living as fast as he was, but perhaps it was for the best. Time marched on soon enough they left the life of living ship-to-ship and assignment to assignment to settle down his wife taking up a position within Nanotrasen. A move much more conducive to raising of their twin sons, and daughter. Eventually he too retired from the Scout Service to take up a command position within the same company. "I'll be fine. Don't worry. It'll only be a month maybe two." - Elim, March 2451 He loved his family, and his job on those Nanotrasen stations was by no means uninterested, but he still had that itch to get back 'out there' for at least that one last time. For better or worse Castel received his last chance, and was called back into duty for a mission requiring his expertise. He wouldn't be gone for very long only a month maybe two he kept saying both to his himself, and his wife.The Scout Ship carrying Elim Castel, and five others lost contact two weeks into their mission. No distress signal was received, and no wreckage found the ship was nowhere to be found.Six years after he had left his ship was finally located. Castel and two others were retrieved from the ship's emergency cryochambers. Time had done it's damage to Castel his family, and friends having moved on since his disappearance. After six months of rehabilitation he's fit to return to duty for Nanotrasen ready to try to rebuild the life he left behind. "I spent a lot of time wishing to get back out in space. Now I'd wish twice as much to have spent that time here." - Elim Castel, December 15th, 2457 What do you like about this character?: He's an older character that's been through many things in his life, but this is not one of them. He doesn't have the experience to deal with the blow life just dealt him. Being as cold/mean as I'll try to play him isn't going to come naturally to him, and it'll depend on the relationships he develops with his co-workers/friends that'll determine if he stays that way or not. I like him because he'll be a challenge for me to roleplay the way I'm envisioning him to be. What do you dislike about this character?: He's a lot more of a cold character than some of my others. Oliver and Abigail would like to make a friend rather than an enemy, but Elim doesn't care. He's big on first impressions, and low on second chances. As a result I don't think he'll be very popular in that respect. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: He's been a follower for a long time, and a leader for even longer so he knows both sides of the coin on that respect. Working in several different areas he knows how to get people to work together to get stuff done despite his personal feelings on the matter. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: There's a lot of room for improvement. I let my OOC feelings flow into my character more than I should at times, Oliver gets a lot more sarcastic mean, and paranoid than he should be at times. 6/10 Extra notes: Elim Castel is a character semi-based off a Traveller campaign I played a while ago. Mostly all that business with the 'Scouts' which is an organization I love the concept of. Screw it. What's the worst that can happen?

I don't post ever, but people said we should post if we're ticked off. This is pretty close to what I remember happening except a few things. We were shoved into the Mining airlock and told to suit up, still cuffed. So while we're complaining about there being only one bloody hardsuit the HoS or some other officer makes a comment to the effect of suit up for your own safety. At this point the Captain-piloted mech came back after chasing off Oliver Stefan. Captain then decided to summarily execute us for no apparent reason by drilling through a window. All because uh.. why exactly? Sitting around Engineering chair rping? Because one dude said Nasir said something bad so the captain decided to arrest half the department? Being rude to all the officers who refused to answer any, and all questions of WHY we were being arrested? The most RP we got out of the Officers was them saying what amounted to either 'no', or 'shut up', the Hos Saying 'now' a shit ton, then after being silently beaten, flashed, and for the most part ignored the captain tried to kill us. SO Mech breaks the window. The Atmo fails, and we're not dying. Nasir gets out of his cuffs, and then begins deconstructing the window because THE CAPTAIN TRIED TO KILL US. Then Sec begins to get the fuck out, Paxton gets left behind, and a fight ensues. Since the Captain seems intent on working with misinformation, and not even bothering to check any facts at all. Oliver was actually trying to save Paxton, and even stun prodded Wyatt to get him to stop beating him to death. The Captain took the false word of one Engineer apparently, and without any investigation or fact-checking used it to write a blank valid check on almost the entire department which Sec fucking RAN with. Yet the Captain didn't start off paranoid. As an added note, as far as I know none of engineering were even Revs.
