Reporting Personnel: Corwin Beckett Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Head of Security Game ID: b63-aefr Personnel Involved: - Jack Wolf, Security Officer, Offender - Camryn Hujsak, Warden, Witness/Arresting Officer Secondary Witnesses: Time of Incident: 5/6/2462 Real Time: 5/6/2020 8 to 10ish CST Location of Incident: Armory-Head of Security's Office Hallway Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ X] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [ X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ Overview of the Incident: Following an incident involving Cargo personnel causing a small amount of tension during the shift I was informed that Jack Wolf during a search of the Cargo Warehouse had illegally obtained a pair of brass knuckles. Upon confrontation of this fact he claimed to have obtained them from a shipping crate, but relinquished them to evidence storage upon further pressing (It is to note that the pair described to have been delivered was still present in the shipping container). Head of Personnel Jarvi had insisted on bringing charges to them, but after a rather impromptu meeting between the affected cargo staff, assembled security personnel, and Head of Personnel Jarvi everyone seemed perfectly willing to be verbally warned against such petty actions, and get back to work. It was during the course of this meeting that one of the Cargo Personnel had insulted Mr. Wolf calling him dumb to which I agreed, his actions during the course of the search on Cargo were not the most well-thought. This slight had angered Mr. Wolf to such a degree that after the warnings were issued to everyone involved he approached me separately, and threatened my life should I insult him again. I thought nothing of it at first until his continued insistence that it was not in fact a threat, but a promise. I ordered his arrest, and generated the proper warrant for his threat. To which he spent the rest of the shift(about 10 minutes) constantly issuing direct insults, and challenging me to a fight. Would we have more time I would have liked to have him undergo a psychiatric evaluation for his continued employee in his position. As we ran out of time for this to be properly handled on-station the purpose of this report is to official request that Jack Wolf be examined to see if he is fit to continue in his capacity as a Security Officer. Submitted Evidence: Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: No. The situation had been resolved in the short-term. Actions taken: Arrest of Jack Wolf Additional Notes:

To: Riori'Uptari Nunuz From: CCIA Division of Appeals Subject: Appeal 62/04/02 _______________________________ BODY: After thorough review of the investigation we cannot find sufficient evidence to support the extensive Actions placed upon you. While mistakes were made, and the ideal outcome was not achieved it is the judgement of this office that you did not act against the best interests of the station, and crew. The matter of the bias against synthetics however is still something to be considered, and while it's effects were limited the bias towards synthetics was made clear. To that effect the following actions will occur. The Suspension has been removed from your record. The Fines have been removed from your record. Your reprimand will be changed to the following: Allowing anti-synthetic sentiment to influence decisions that had potentially lethal consequences. While your decision was ultimately justified the first call for removal, and carding of the AI was pre-mature. You are required to attend Synthetic Tolerance training to better come to terms with working alongside synthetics onboard Nanotrasen stations. _______________________________ DTG: 04-03:54-TAU CETI STANDARD-04-2462 Sign: Gerard Greyswandir -

FluffyBirb's Warbling Permit
Brayce replied to FluffyBirb's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I've had the luck to be able to roleplay with a few of FluffyBirb's characters. They're all excellently played with the level of detail, fun, and believability of each one. They've got a cool head OOCly, focused on trying to keep the round enjoyable for people. I have no doubt on their ability to bring their skills to bare with this new whitelist, and character. Solid +1. -

Reporting Personnel: Oliver Roadman Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Chief Engineer Game ID: b5P-dlp1 Personnel Involved: - Scattered Embers of a Dying Star, Engine Technician, Offender - Jose Dean, Station Engineer, Offender - Unknown, Librarian, Offender - Khaled Al-Bastaki, Head of Security, Witness - Vira Boliver, Visitor(Head of Security) - Possible witness to the multiple break-ins by Radio Chatter - Jaquelyn Roberts, Nurse, Witness Secondary Witnesses: (Name, Job Title: Short description of what they witnessed) - Val Xiram, Station Engineer - Second set of ears on the radio, Present at the casino. Witness to break ins. - Kira Fairbanks, Corporate Liaison - Reported to have followed Scattered into the tunnels, witnessed them breaking in. - Kistmet Zahawi, Unknown - Possible Witness to Scattered Embers of a Dying Star actions judging by their reaction - Holiday Lynn, Captain - Not present during the incident, but might be able to shed more light on the events following the evacuation. - Konstantin Vorobyov, Chief Medical Officer - More information on Medicals point of view. Time of Incident: 02/22/2462: Entire Shift Real Time: 02/22/2020 6:00pm CST Location of Incident: Off-Site Casino Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [X] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [X] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: I want to make it clear early on that the exact nature of the incident eludes me, I was not a direct witness to any of the supposed crimes, but due to the severity of the result I feel a more in depth investigation is required to determine the exact cause. Early into the shift we received the announcement that the Aurora had been granted a stay at a Casino within distance of our station: The Grand Romanovich. The crew was congratulated, and we began the process of ferrying them via the Research shuttle to the casino over the next hour.It was during this process that I had heard mention of Jose Dean having found a room through his material scanners he could see a knife, and an amount of blood. Despite many attempts to dissuade him he continued to insist, and I believe cause a panic about the room going so far as to break into it. He was told multiple times that it was likely something else, and to drop the matter. It was also during this time that Scattered Embers of a Dying Star mentioned if they could look around maintenance. He was also told not to break into anything at this point, and to ask the Casino staff. It was reported that he ignored this, and proceeded to break into maintenance, and possibly the Casino's vault. We became distracted at this time due to a unhinged warden having been suspended, and fined earlier during the shift attacking Captain Lynn, and myself. By the time we were finished dealing with that incident, and the person in question cryogenically stored the incident on the Casino had devolved. It was claimed that members of our crew had broken into the Casino's vault, and as a security measure the lethal ballistic turrets on board the Casino activated, and a lockdown engaged to trap the crew. Thankfully the lockdown was lifted, and while some crew were injured everyone was able to evacuate from the station. The Casino staff had reportedly also attempted to detain Scattered, but they had escaped. The general assesment I was able to gather that the incident was sparked by multiple break-ins occuring around the casino. We were able to determine from multiple witnesses that Scattered was one of the one's responsible for the break-ins. What investigation was beyond that I do not know. An Atmosphereic Technician had set Atmosphereics on fire, and the rest of my shift was seen to tending to that incident which was handled on-station. I was not a direct witness to many of these events, and while I charged Scattered, and reprimanded Dean I do not believe this is sufficent enough given the amount of damage these events have caused. Submitted Evidence:: None Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: Captain Holiday Lynn was aware of the situation, Head of Security Khaled Al-Bastaki agreed with my charges of Failure to Execute an Order. Actions taken: Scattered Embers of a Dying Star was arrested by Security Officer Alecto Additional Notes: ((Adrian Miller the Warden of the round was dealt with by server staff for his actions.))

Regarding the Departmental Security Test Merge
Brayce replied to Skull132's topic in General Announcements
http://prntscr.com/r8a7pe Suggestions wise this is it. If the engineering officer has to be in the front at least push the office in one tile on each side. It's extraordinarily large at the moment. Other Suggestions from the Engineering side of things Put the Holopad back in the main foyer instead of locking it behind the security office. (red Square) Readding the Guest terminal to engineering. (Purple square, or Green square replaced with a reinforced wall) Please put the paper bin back in the main area. It's often used for wires and other engineering related info between people. Having to commit trespassing every round while iconic of the department shouldn't be required to write down wires. Overall though I've had fairly good experiences with the few Engineering officers I've encountered. They were pretty cool to play against weren't super gung-ho about engineering doing their occasional hacking to get where they need to be, and were chill. That said the amount of access the security department has overall now is pretty staggering, and I can't see it being un-abused for long. There are reasons why there were mechanical restrictions put in place, and the little scramble to add additional locks to things that sec shouldn't have is already indicating that it is. You cannot just ahelp all the instances abuse. The other two concerns I have I can't confirm so maybe someone else can A. That all of security has maintenance access again, and B. Every officer having access to an additional channel / office it feels like they're becoming discount command with more guns, less oversight, and slightly less access to affect the station as whole. -

[ACCEPTED] WickedCybs - Command App
Brayce replied to WickedCybs's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
WickedCybs themselves are pretty chill person that I've seen, and it's an absolute blast to roleplay with them when I can. They know the engineering mechanics well, and Val from what I've observed is a very well roleplayed leader helping out apprentices when needed, and directed the department in times of crisis. I have full faith in Wicked to be able to hold a whitelist to a high standard +1. -

[+2 DISMISSAL;Bin 16.02] Sidearms for all (of command)
Brayce replied to Cnaym's topic in Discontinued Projects
Yes +1. To break down arguments: CE, RD, CMO have no reason to have firearms, let alone lethal ones, or training to use them: Two out of the three roles are EVA capable so they're contending with xenofauna, and losing a head of staff to a migration is bad. While the flash is an absolute joke as a self-defense weapon it is issued to each head of staff and presumably have been trained in it's use. I believe this sets the precedent that all heads of staff do receive SOME training in self-defense, and see no reason why this training couldn't extend to also include firearms training given the dangerous positions these people are being posted to, and are expected to maintain (sometimes alone). Capt, and HoP have it because they have access to secure areas/ the ID Computer: There are several areas of station that are only accessible from a head of staff, and anyone of these people having their access usurped would be bad for station operations as a whole. The only areas the CE, and RD unique to them they would not be able to access would be the Vault, or SAT. Both of these roles have access to other secure areas most of which are shared with their staff with the exception of the AI core, The bunker, and telecomms. Two of these areas are defend lethally, if the HoP, and Captain are the last line of defense to access to the entire station, the CE, and RD are the last lines of defense for access to these critical areas as well. Enables Front-lining: Yes the E-pistol will make it more readily available (OUT OF THE GATE) for these roles to 'front-line' . The issue is all three roles have far greater tools at their disposal to be able to do so the addition of the e-pistol doesn't change this with the possible exception of the initial antag encounter. An RD with a e-pistol is a lot less scary if they're convinced it's sufficient then an unarmed RD who decided being unarmed is not so great, and decides to build a combat rig/ hyper Science gun / Acid Chem sprayer. Ultimately I think this is a misplaced fear, and personally haven't really encountered too many scenarios where such armed head of staff actively participate in assault actions rather than either defending themselves, or as is most often retaining the ability to defend themselves. Most of my reasoning is sorely based around the RD, and CE being weak-points, or having legitimate reason to have to have the ability to defend themselves. It is far harder for me to come up with valid reasoning for the CMO to be such armed. I lean to equalize all the head of staff to be armed, rather than everyone but the CMO who might not really have a reason (Maybe a CMO Main would be able to come up with more legitimate scenarios than I). That said I don't think it would be valid reasoning to exclude two based off of one. -

Antag melee weapons, and maybe melee weapons in general seem really out of tune with everything compared to any projectile weapon I've encountered thus far. I've played three separate rounds where I've had ballistics, or energy weapons just for them to not.. do anything. The antag runs up hits me once on the head, and that's it fight over. You never recover from the stun, or they just cut your leg off, and then proceed to decapitate you. I've beaned a person twice with a shotgun with bean bags rushing me with an e-sword, only for them to hit my once on my armored head, and down me instantly. Anything that inflicts direct toxic damage also seems hilariously lethal really quickly.
