  3. Reporting Personnel: Sasha Kaiser Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Research Director Game ID: cuD-aisg + the round prior Personnel Involved: Kroner Blackburn, Xenobiologist - Offender Sasha Kaiser, Research Director - Witness Samdarr Kii'jri, Head of Security - Witness Secondary Witnesses: Cam Mueller, Chief Engineer - Pulled the comms logs The security team of the shift - arrested and presumably spoke to Blackburn Time of Incident: ~23:40 2466-7-9 Real Time: ~6:40 PM MTN Location of Incident: Xenobiology/Science/Comms Nature of Incident: [ x ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ x ] - Neglect of Duty [ x ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [ ] - Misconduct [ ] - Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: The two events are spread between two shifts, prior to these shifts I've have had issues with Doctor Blackburn refusing to take on a project, citing that he is "just here to maintain the slimes." As his Director, I told him that this was not good enough and that I expected him to come up with a project. To this date, he has not made progress towards this request. During the first shift, on 09/07/2466 around 23:00, Kroner Blackburn arrived on deck. I told him I was surprised he was still employed, leading into a conversation where he asked if I had "beaten my allegations." I asked for him to elaborate several times, both over comms and in person, and was given no explanation. I asked him for his project of the day, and given no response. I decided to talk to him in person and walked to his lab, I saw the doors were bolted open all the way into the communal lab. He was questioned on this, and told me it was for his "convenience." Kroner attempted to leave to respond to a station announcement re: a slime leak. He was told he could wait a minute, and in retaliation he got on comms and said that I had "decided he couldn't help" and that "engineering could deal with it themselves" - a complete lie, which he then denied to my face. I decided to have him suspended for the shift and security was called to take him away. During the second shift, on 09/10/2466 around 1:00, I arrived on deck. I asked for a check in and was met by an insistence that his suspension was revoked. I did not want to argue with him and told him to drop the attitude several times, with the threat that if he could not, he would be suspended. His attitude did not stop, going so far as to antagonize me. He was suspended for the shift with the insistence that "IA would hear about this," to which I informed him he was correct. These incidents showcase an employee who is not only non-productive for the SCC in his complete refusal to conduct actual research, but a hazard to others in his blatant disregard of containment procedure. His assertion over my "allegations" leads to the suspicion he has intentionally been poisoning the well within my department or otherwise by spreading rumors, speculation founded on his belligerence towards myself. He has been given countless warnings with no improvement, leading to this esclation. Submitted Evidence: Comms logs attached below: Would you like to be personally interviewed?: [ x ] - Yes, if needed [ ] - No Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: Myself and the Commander on shift handled the situation, I have decided to escalate to internal affairs Actions taken: Shift suspension Additional Notes: I may have asked for a review request, however Blackburns records are currently causing errors in the software. I asked the commander (Suvek Tokash) on the second shift to record that he had been suspended in records; but was told he did not think it was necessary.
  4. I just want to play a colorblind engineer so I can electrocute myself by mixing up the 3 red wires
  5. Time for an update; I do take commissions and they are OPEN; Details in the spoiler below. These are the most up to date prices and policies. Now for the fun stuff, actual drawings; A couple finished things And some sketches and doodles
  6. I am currently unemployed; I take art and sprite commissions. Please contact me if interested. I have a thread posted with art, and my sprites litter the server like trash.

Some examples of my spritework include:

      Space Bats
      Visegrad Ponchos
      Various xenoarch anomalies
      Leopard print underwear
      The Vaurca title screens

      And many more!

I have no pricing available for spritework, it really depends on the complexity of the sprite, but expect between 10-15USD per sprite, give or take, once again, depending on complexity

  7. Which is silly to me, there's alt titles for the other "learner rolls" so I don't really get it
  8. Just add a understudy alt title to distinguish people trying to learn, this has been brought up at least three times and there's even a PR for it. I don't know why it's such a thing. Lab assistant working as an assistant role is fine as is, who cares if people wanna make permanent characters in those roles.
  9. As the person who (accidentally) made an EMP that could hit the entire ship, I'm generally against bomb caps - even for regular bombs. Something that big can be very devastating, though that's kind of the point. I don't think everything needs to be neutered to cater to some rare circumstances, really. As for IPCs, I kind of agree with fluffy? I posted in the IPC medical thread but they're just genuinely overpowered on an endurance level alone, though I agree that it /can/ suck to be stuck somewhere for 10-30 minutes, especially because at blue you are just as likely to have a swamped medical as an EMP going off. That said, its really the only way to stun an IPC effectively so I'm more or less in favor of them being able to self charge in standby mode (sleep) up to a certain point, just enough to get to a charger, but not fast enough to negate the stun.
  10. I thought I commented on this but I guess not. This was a thing in the past, where I believe at the 1:30 mark you could call a vote to add an antag. It was removed for a myriad of reasons though I think the main one was that it was abused to make yourself an antag. It was removed during one of my extended breaks so I'm not entirely sure either way. I didn't hate it back then, and I don't have a strong opinion now - just pointing out this exact feature was removed at some point.
  11. This is a case of favouring "realism" over gameplay. Particularly as the "realism" here is misrepresented in assumption that you cannot move objects up and down stairs in life. It's not fun, its an inconvenience, and every solution presented is to solve a self made problem that adds no interesting gameplay and is a chore to work around. Spending resources to 'fix' this is a waste of time when frankly it should just be reverted.
  12. Managed the ship very well during a chaotic technomancer round while I (the other command) got dragged into a hell of unrelated drama and brain damage. Sorry for leaving you high and dry, but you proved you can handle it so heres a +1
Extremely good, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of the research scanners and really enjoyed reading the little blurbs about everything. The picture science slowly gathered of the regions situation came into focus right around when the team finished the survey - handing in all the papers and seeing our theories confirmed was a lot of fun and I genuinely enjoyed the RP surrounding it.
  13. I haven't tested this extensively so I don't know if it's actually a bug or just a coincidence (hence no report ...yet) but I'm fairly certain simple mobs will path around traps as if they're solid objects. I have never been able to catch something in the large traps. Slowing it down seems like the best option. I don't think kiting is a bad strategy, and it's how you'd expect to deal with large threats anyways? Either run away or use whatever advantage you have to deal with it. The problem now is we have *no* advantage and getting the specialized equipment to deal with it takes far too much time out of the round when expeditions take upwards of an hour to hour and a half On top of all this, I'm actually surprised it spawns as a simple mob at all, and not as a player controlled admin spawn, particularly if it's this powerful.
