  7. Server Moderator Application Basic Information Byond Account: Lord Lag Character Name(s): Alexander Sheppard, Asriel Weiss, Awoken in the Void AI Name(s): FA.T.H.E.R Preferred means of contact: Skype/Steam Age:18 Timezone: GMT +0 When are you on Aurora?: I seem to be on at various, random times throughout the day, but I often appear at the dead hour. Experience How long have you played SS13?: Severl months now I believe around 5 How long have you played on Aurora: Around 5 months How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: I believe I know a significant amount, becomming a jack-of-all trades, though some aspects such as the infernal telescience I am still trying to figure out. Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?: I do not, no. Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: I have never been banned on Aurora. Personality Why do you play SS13?: I'm...not entirely certain what a good answer to this would be, but I play this weird game as its rather unlike most other things I play. I honestly have never seen a game quite like this one, and the antics that can arise over the course of a round are incredibly amusing, which is the core reason I play games in the first place. Why do you play on Aurora?: I originally began playing because it said that the AI didn't need a whitelist, hehe. Ever since then, I just kinda stuck around, and over time adopted it as my "home" server. And If I play this game for amusement, I may as well stick around here. What do moderators do?: A lot of what moderators do is basically in their name They moderate, assisting normal players in any problem they have if possible, while also being an authority figure, I believe is the correct word? Being another person to mediate arguments, and give guidance, as well as being one who serve as examples, to list a few qualities of a moderator. What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: Acting as an unbiased outsider to issues, while being in touch with the Ic side of the game. Why do you want to be a moderator?: Im rather invested in this server, Id like to be more so. What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?: How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: Id say I deal with it faaaairly well? Honestly, this feels like something other people should be the judge of. Anything Else You Want to Add: Gloria Deadhour! (Put words here)
  8. Im still me, here to post whitelist advertisements. Eyyy http://aurorastation.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=4478
  9. Damn Weeabo. But yes, I could get behind this guy being a Vaurca. +1
  10. It is on the wiki.
  11. I enjoyed reading this, hoping real bad to see you accepted. And with only seeing positives from Silver, I +1 it.
  12. BYOND Key: Lord Lag Character Names: Alexander Sheppard, F.A.T.H.E.R Species you are applying to play: Vaurca What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Black Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Extensivly. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I...am not entirely sure why I actually wanted to play the Vaurca. I remember being so determined to be able to see it, that when someone said "why don't you code it", I actually went and tried to do so. Weither or not my contributions are the final product used, I think the bottom line is that I simple, want to. I enjoy the thought of engineering bugs, scattering across maintenance halls, fixing things and the like. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Theres a significant difference between a Humans and a Vaurca. Focusing on RP aspects, I could state their basic aspects, such as their significant dislike for light, But I think it would be more interesting to go into deeper depths of their society, mentioning how they operate in a caste system, but also how they are all basically locked away, by their own choice, into a virtual world, as their "real life" situation is rather...depressing, with people locked away into certain jobs, and so on and so forth. Character Name: Ka'Akaix'Axret Zo'ra Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Unbound, but not by choice, Ka'Akaix'Axret despises the real world, cast into it by the cruel, sadistic hand of a random number generator. Yet they are, like all Vaurca, not one to defect in the face of a terrible situation and as such they serve, albeit with a significant amount of complaining and internally screaming the desire to return to the Virtual paradise. At the behest of the Zo'ra, they have been sent to the NSS Aurora to lend their abilities in the field of engineering, and be one of the many Vaurca now interacting on a professional level with Zo'ras allies. Never outwardly raising issue, regardless of how much they hate the position that they have been put in, yet burning in envy inside at the bound Vaurca, they try to perform their duties as well as they can believing that it will somehow speed up the process before he can finally be reunited with paradise. What do you like about this character? Its a character that Ive been interested in playing for a significant amount of time, and I feel like its also a good opportunity to play as an engineer, rather than just staring from the ceiling as the AI at the engine. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 11/10 flawless Notes:
  13. Basically mirroring what fowls saying, This guy definitely should be allowed the whitelist.
  14. I support this. LOR is definitely capable of being a head of staff. *nod*
  15. I would be completely against such a system because of the many factors that go into a persons thoughts regarding an antag. Downvotes due to inexperience or salt would probably be very common, and essentially locking people out due to being a poor antag, regardless of wither or not it can be said they deserve it, strikes me as basically an antagban.
  16. Alexander Sheppard A power-hungry Head of Personnel that believes he will live forever. Excalibur A crazed operative, blazing across the galaxy, while being zealous with his love of Arthurian legend. Further Artificial Transient Helper Encompassing Research An amalgamation of failed projects, and well aware of it.
  17. 0/10 no Station-bound AI category
  18. ...The homepage says "We stand with Paris", which links to a repository of information regarding this tragedy. It seems appropriate. I fail to see the exploitation.
  19.
