Eight motor rifle divisions which were fighting in the south have been recalled northward to handle the imperialist threat. Early reports indicate that the fighting is in the favor of our Republican Army due to numerical and technological advantage. Early today, elements of the 93rd Motor Rifle Divisions and 8th Armored Division began pushing at the rear of the west coast salient where enemy marine units have over-extended. Time flies when shitposting. Over the past month or so, I: Began a new plot arc, the ALA Winter Offensive has ended, NKA Parliament has bombed and they are going on the offensive, the PRA is pushing to retake lands lost to the ALA over the past few months. Finished the Adhomai Economy page! It now details most of the history for Tajaran economy, ranging from the evolution of currency and contemporary forms of paying for items, major imports and exports, the integration and utilization of smuggling in everyday life. This page is still listed as WIP because its original version was extremely dense and dry to read through. I'm only halfway through editing it to flow better and be easier to read, but the content itself is all there. With Loow, Alberyk, and Serveris' help, ran the first of a series of "light events" around smuggling goods onto the station during the embargo. The smugglers made over 1000 credits in profit from the station last event through their on-station dealers, and another 1000 by coming on board and selling pizzas. Cleared a writer's block regarding the Ma'ta'ke gods page and resumed development. For the next month, I hope to finish the Ma'ta'ke Gods page and get a new political map for the wiki to reflect the changes of the past year of warfare, in addition to continuing news articles from the three sources.

All righty, well, it's been a bit short of a week since my last post. This application has all the appearances of a fire and forget missile, and you haven't really responded to anyone's criticisms or requests. Still, I'm going to provide feedback in case you decide to make an application in the future. I'd prefer to provide some content to make this at least somewhat productive. Off to a decent start, a Njarir-Ahkran Tajara, otherwise known as "The Blood Rulers" for their long history of being the ruling nobility. But uh... there isn't much acknowledgement of this in his story. He's 67 years old (which by the way, is decrepit and venerable for Tajara!), which means he was alive for the violent anti-nobility communist revolution which saw many Njarir slain. I'll get back to that when I get to the story section of your application, this is just the color section after all. I appreciate the bluntness and honesty here, but this just doesn't cut it. Normally this section is a formality of sorts in that many of the responses may as well be copy pasted, but this does not meet the requirements I'm expecting of this section. Firstly, the elephant in the room: "One paragraph minimum per question." I would accept even three sentences as a paragraph if they were informative enough. I appreciate that you're honest about wanting to be a Tajara on this server because you are on others, but we have a lot of mechanical and cultural differences for our Tajara as compared to Tajara on other servers. The sentiments and characters aren't always transferable between servers if you want to keep in line with each server's respective lore. As far as what makes roleplaying the species different, you've listed three concepts. You're going to have to elaborate on the details, as this is usually the filter question to determine if someone is going to roleplay the species as a anthropomorphize'd human cat, or if they're only after it for said "most gameplay functions." It's important here to actually specify what is different in about a paragraph's detail. Okay, so, going back to what I was saying in the color section-- Please be aware that a 67 year old Njarir-Ahkran Tajara is 1.) Veeeeery old and unable to do physical labor and 2.) Has lived through a violent anti-monarchist revolution. You said the war wasn't in your backstory and that you'd like to go back and re-edit it, but that was all the way back in your initial post. Since then you haven't responded to anyone or edited it. So, I'm going to give you some trust in that I shouldn't hit this story so hard since it isn't the full story. I will say this though, it's extremely vague. When I read this, I know almost nothing about Aminullah. It appears that, for some reason, humans removed him from his family and refuses to let him see them? Then he decided to work hard for them so they put him on the Exodus and now he hopes at the end of his life he'll be on good terms with NT? I can't really dig at the backstory because it's so nebulous and vague that I'm not entirely sure what story it's telling me. If there is a future application, be sure to elaborate better and to include the war(s) in your backstory. It's important to remember that the primary purpose of a whitelist application is to demonstrate not just knowledge, but also understanding of the lore. This doesn't mean scouring every single lore page and reading every single word to the letter, but it does mean showcasing general awareness and adherence to the thematic elements which all my mad writings are meant to reinforce. Keep this in mind when making applications in the future. I'm going to have to deny this application.

King Released From Hospital, NKA Offensive Begins 09.02.2459 Following over a week of intensive medical treatment, King Vahzirthaamro Azunja has been released from the hospital to resume his duties as ruler of the New Kingdom. Celebrations broke out all across the land as the people welcomed the return of their King. Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan is still receiving treatment, and doctors are unclear if he will pull through. Since the surprise terrorist attack in late January, human calendar, the surviving Members of Parliament and the Imperial Army have come to an agreement on proceeding forward with an offensive against the People's Republic. Following Azunja's release from the hospital, he agreed beginning the first offensive on the Harr'masir continent in seven years. Mrraka'te'almalik Marrmeladov has been leading on the western front with his hardened Rasn'rr Expeditionary Force marines, which was pushed back to the Harr'masir continent last November. The central and eastern portions of the front have come under the direct command of the King in the absence of the Field Martial, but progress has been slower in these areas. Concerns have been growing following losses on Chaniska Island following the ALA's Winter Offensive which has strained Mrraka'te'almalik Klyuchevsky's position. Many are hoping that this offensive will help to regain lands which were taken by the ALA's rebellion in 2451 and proceeding years. Further developments have come in regarding the restaffing of Parliament. Currently hereditary law firms are overburdened by the processing of the many inheritance claims which have come in following the attack. Over 20 last wills and testaments have already been uncovered as fraudulent, adding more stress to the process. In other cases, the transitions of lands and power have proven turbulent as many previously petty nobles are serving as officers on the front are difficult to contact. Experts claim that the restaffing of Parliament and the processing of all the inheritance claims could take between six months and a year depending on the number of fraudulent claims they receive. The King retains all legislative, executive and judicial powers in government until this is done.

0.01. I normally don't give a shit. What I mean to say is that what Synnono has to say here is largely true, but that I, as a player, also just do not care. Far more often than not, alcoholism is generally roleplayed in extremely poor taste such that, when I see a drunk character anymore, I just assume the worst and actively avoid them. I mean, imagine you go to your job and you're at work, and someone you're not very familiar or comfortable with is an 8 foot tall muscular lizard from a society centered around warrior culture, slurring all of his words in a drunken haze. Would you walk up to them and say, "How do you do?" Or tattle on them to security? Heck no! I'd put as much distance as possible between me and them and keep my mouth shut lest they decide to effect a jumping later. They're inherently dangerous. And lastly, it's an overdone and usually poorly done trope. The alcoholic at the bar RP has been so overdone and is almost always done by a player looking for an excuse to be belligerent, combative, and or to tell their whole life sob story. You can only hear so much stories about space 'nam or handle so many slurring people using it as an excuse to self-antag before the whole thing loses its charm. While it may not be indicative of how your character may be acting when they're drunk, it's still a large stigma against them created by the large precedence of other characters doing it poorly. Scary drunk alien warrior Unathi is terrifying, I would not call it bad RP that people want to keep their distance and have as little possible involvement as possible in what could be a highly dangerous situation. When you add "Engineer" to the mix, it suddenly becomes almost as bad as if you said he worked in security, as engineers tend to have a culture of stubborn and rebellious independence and punkish sovereignty. No matter where you are, if you make them angry, they can come find you and have whatever makeshift weapon they want. Of course people are going to stay away from and not report your drunk engineer Unathi. 2.) Alcoholism is usually a vector for bad RP and self antagging, often used as an excuse to get into fights or launch into yet another tragic space 'nam life story. As an over used trope, you must fight against the grain of the social stigma if you want to continue doing it, as everyone is going to be cautious and on-guard around a drunk character in case they suddenly find themselves in a dramatically escalated situation getting robusted for the flimsiest of reasons. So, yes, no one cares that he does it because so many other people have done it and done it poorly. Unless your character is bringing something new to the table or has some unique story or novelty to add to the situation, his actions make him seem more like a nuisance and annoyance rather than someone I would want to RP with, let alone somehow be anything but threatening from most of my character's points of view.

Parliament Bombed! King Hospitalized 26.01.2459 A large explosion rocked Parliament in the city of Kaltir early this morning during the joint session of Parliament and the Crown, claiming the lives of many of the Kingdom's top nobles, military leaders, and parliamentarians. The situation is still in development, however the death toll is now reported as highly as 150 persons with another 87 injured. First responders are currently on the scene going through the rubble in search of survivors, however the King has already been found and rushed to the hospital. A spokesperson of the Klyuchevksy Medical Center, the hospital he is currently receiving treatment at, released a statement to Royal Telegraph staff that he is currently in critical condition and that he will likely be in surgery for the next eight hours. Field-Marshal Rrhazhal Zarkradar'Akhan has yet to be found, with many fearing that he may be dead. The joint session of Parliament and the Crown was called together in order to discuss the Kingdom's strategy going forward in the war following recent successes after the repulsion of the Republican Army's offensive in November. The hottest debate on the agenda for discussion was between proponents of launching an offensive of their own, and those who wished to establish a new defensive line at the current extent of the New Kingdom's lands. The recent death of many members of parliament may be enough to prevent the institution from operating, as the constitution strictly requires most legislation to have at least a majority vote by parliament. The wording of many of the definitions use numbers of members of parliament which would normally be the majority, rather than a percentage of current members. However, the constitution has provisions for this, providing legislative powers as well as executive to the King until parliament can gain the necessary number of members to operate again. If the King survives, he will have much work ahead of him as he finds himself at the head of all branches of government. I need to stop posting late in here. Added snow skiis to the Ha'narr Corps as optional equipment on some missions. Originally meant for them to be there, but apparently it had slipped my mind. Made additions to Tajaran biology, effectively canonizing an old forum post by Sue (My predecessor's predecessor) Which said something along the lines of Tajara age some 30% more quickly than humans. This also has an effect on Tajaran lifespans, namely they don't live as long. There's no official rule against it, even from me, but if you don't want to be a snowflake keep your Tajara less than 80 years old and keep in mind above 60 years old is venerable. I agree completely. This has happened to me every single time I've taken a hostage in the past 6 months. Every time it's just: Flashbang, boom, cuffs, 'say ":s We have the terrorist in custody." 'Though, correction, sometimes they'll throw flashbangs when I'm properly protected and just bluntly get the hostage killed leading directly into a shootout. Because once that flashbang is in, they're rushing no matter what the result of the banger to root, toot, and shoot. It's sloppy, often ends up getting the hostage hurt or killed in retaliation, and instantly diffuses every hostage situation and ends many antag rounds with no fanfare. Flashbangs are not standard equipment for officers, both private and public, and every officer shouldn't just have them on hand. They should be reserved for special situations just like all the riot equipment, more serious armor, and more serious weaponry. Additionally, do flashbangs still dispense form the security vendors? If this change were made, those would have to be moved as well. Perhaps an extra box in the armory and removing them from the machine. EDIT: I always ahelp when they do this so callously and wrecklessly, because it does almost always end up in me harming/killing the hostage. If flashbangs were moved to the armory, it would force security personnel to consider and plan each situation rather than just bang-rushing, which is my primary complaint about these situations. In my opinion, it would legitimize flashbang usage in hostage situations because the barrier for entry is increased, meaning officers had to regroup, discuss, and plan in order to effect their plan. In other words, I think this would be better for security as well as for antags, since it would make the case for accusations of hostage situation rushing more difficult to make, since they would have to go through actual effort to have the equipment on hand to go through with their hostage rescue plans. Everyone wins and there's less headaches/room for sHitlery.

They believe that the troops have had sufficient time to rest since the establishment of the new front-line two months ago, and are now able to push the People's Republic back. They believe the Adhomai Liberation Army's recent Winter Offensive as an example of shortcomings in Republican military capabilities. Leading members of the Civilian Administration in Parliament have other designs in mind. Outspoken members of Parliament have been quick to point to recent PRA news articles which assert the ALA Winter Offensive has ended. They wish to reconstruct a new defensive fortress line along the newly acquired land, similar to the old one which held for the past nine years. The issue has been hotly contested, and the debate is expected to be settled at this approaching session of Parliament and the Crown. Finished adoption of the Sol Alliance Credit section of the Adhomai Economy page, the entire history of Tajaran currency is now covered by the lore, now I need to work on things such as common exports and imports, and the degree to which modern Adhomai is industrialized today. Did some testing with Loow for our event on the test server a couple weeks back, hoping to go live with it in the near future!

Minister of Defense Voices Concerns Over Upcoming V-Day Celebration 13.01.2459 Fighting across the People's Republic of Adhomai has died down since the week of terror near the end of November as the Grand People's Army has finally blunted the treacherous Adhomai "Liberation" Army's winter offensive. Fighting in the streets of most cities has died down as our brave troops consolidate their defenses and rout the ALA at every turn. Despite the victories of the past 52 days, the fight is far from over.
