You can, infact, already do this with a rag. Though the bar rag is the only one i know of in the game. You can soak it in anything and force someone to inhale it

These are interesting and make lots of sense, i approve of the idea at least. Whether they'd actually be used though? I can't think of many situations, its rare to get cooperation from medical for traitor activities I thought we already had sexual reassignment surgery? I've seen it on other servers

I've been working on some fun little things! PAIs will soon be able to use drone hatches https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/861 Exosuits will be able to break stuff https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/846 And bees will be more available and not-broken! https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/859

I think i'm in that picture. Mouse (757)

i'm not really in favour of adding more memes. We are already stuffed to saturation with memes. You ever hear that wierd distorted voice that plays as background sound when you're in the AI core/upload? IT's fucking SPACE JAM. The space jam theme tune run through a few distortion filters. The exact words the distorted voice says are 'Everybody get up it's time to slam nowWe got a real jam goin' dowwwwnnn...." (fade into incoherence) Half the wizard spell chants are memes too. The mutate spell shouts Bruce Banner, the bodyswap spell shouts Captain Ginyu, fireball shouts onee-sama. We very long ago passed the point of meme saturation, i'm not in favour of adding more

Personally, i think everyone's making too big a deal out of it. My opinion is a very firm 'Sure, whatever.' It'd be nice to have i guess.

Three things to note: 1. It was skull who said this is intended behaviour, today. I simply put his words into practise 2. Random antag event has always existed. it was just really rare until recently. 3. Some work will be done on the event yet, we'll exclude some antag types, like cults. And the weight of it is being reduced

Realistically, swinging your tail is exercise. The correct solution here is to make tail movements cost a little nutrition to represent the calories burned. More swishing means more nutrition loss. Also in the future, stamina. rapid tail swishing can cost stamina

BYOND key: Character names of all involved:Chauncey Documentation of the event, Link to post/Screenshot in game. If multiple screenshots please compose an album: During a particularly long deadhour round, the hot drinks machine in the captain's office broke. no engineers noticed it, and there was no captain either. As a result, the machine pelted chauncey with various hot drinks for over an hour, slowly wearing him down and spreading a thousand cups across the floor But there's only so much one fox can take, and when he wandered too close, one must have hit him between the eyes. While he lay there unconscious he was beaten to death by a steady onslaught of ceramic hot coco mugs. this did not stop. Some say his rotting corpse is still pelted by coco mugs to this day Have you read the application rules??:yes Have you made sure this incident didn't result in administrative action?yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Why does this moment deserve a spot in the Hall Of Fame?: It was an interesting thing that ocurred from random interactions and provided entertainment for those observing. It's the first time i've ever seen a vending machine kill anything. Are you certain we are all laughing together are not shaming someone?:yes Final thoughts/anything you want to add?:Poor chauncey

so the problem here isn't that tajarans are overpowered, it's that they're broken, and meson goggles happen to fix their bug. And your solution is to....remove the fix? Why? No, the correct solution is to fix the nightvision so it works without them. LF seems to have some ideas on how to do that
-
i don't get it. Mesons allow you to see turfs, not mobs. is there some wierd interaction i'm missing?
-
definitely won't be adding any such things to normal mice, but for rats in future, perhaps
-
cults do have to pur some effort into a sacrifice or conversion though
-
Nah this doesn't quite make sense imo. Since slowdowns are cumulative, a good idea would be to have some slowdown on the module, and some on the chestplate. then no code is needed to change anything. You'd be slowed down with the module on and slowed somewhat more with the suit deployed

This is really not that much power. It should suspend the character from the whole DEPARTMENT, not just a single role, and heads of staff should be able to do it for theirs. Tracking down the captain to help with suspension is rarely worth the effort. I'd say instead, make it a requirement to notify the captain, if there is one, and give him power of veto

Today at long last, after four months of work, i've finally finished the diona overhaul! https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/442 Read there for the full feature list, including all kinds of fun!

I disagree with this, antags disabling comms is imo not fun. communication is the most fundamental part of RP, and killing it does nothing good for our roleplay atmosphere. This is one of the many reasons i dislike malf AI mode, disabling comms is something they do constantly. I'd like to see a console up there that allows more communication, not less. Like allowing anyone to send announcements without authentication so antags can make their demands to the crew

This has now been coded and submitted: https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/796 Aside from making new powercells start empty, it also adds entropy to cell charging, and adjusts charger power draws (and hence the speed that they charge cells at) heavy duty charger power by 125%, normal recharger power by 100%, wall chargers increased by 80%, and cyborg charging stations REDUCED by ~55%. They were far more powerful than anything else before
-
Economy is a prospective future project, however we have several other major things in the works first, like an upstream bay merge/fullbody prosthetics, diona overhaul, and the new asteroid map. Perhaps once all those things are done
-
Well, AFAIK, or just on old code, you can endlessly swap two power cells between cell charger and an APC powering that charger, while still having some energy to spare. So, yeah, power is broken anyway. That's a +1 I'm now testing this out. It seems that APCs use exactly as much power as the recharger puts into a cell. There's no entropy which is bad, but no gain either as far as i can tell, so this isn't too bad.

I've reread this thread five times without paying attention, now looking more closely: Yea arrow is right, and to add. We developers cannot possibly keep up with the pace of player research, and cannot feasibly provide a new stream of content to keep that system goingwithout getting a fulltime staffmember dedicated to it Persistent research is a nice idea, but the eventual result will be continually pushing things to pointlessly overpowered levels until we run out of ideas Periodic resetting...could work. I guess it would allow you to carry something over. but that might lead to problems unforeseen. I don't know, this is a difficult design decision
-
You have my agreement on this. I'm in favour of moving it into the security subsection of EVA
-
You were wearing a military grade hardsuit and they used mallcop gear? I'm failing to see a problem tell me when you beat three guys armed with laser carbines
-
New drone laws are now in the PR, and mechanical enforcement removed
-
yes like i said, it works effects arent that strong though, even if you run into a cloud of acid smoke read the code in the PR linked above
