  1. If a guy keeps trying to taze you and you have the opportunity to take the tazer you do. A bit less extreme than eyes but gets the point across. I honestly find most sec players im familiar with dont like to do this sorta thing, medical and research just wants to be involved and show horns in reasons. Sec likes the fights and the hunts, why would we want you to be a useless husk of your antag glory? Your valid score drops dramatically!
  2. AI is meant to to streamline and aid gameplay for crew. It does this. AI and borgs are meant to be a firstline response team which it does. A whitelist seems well enough appropriate but what prerequisites are you going to look for? Cyborg? Head?
  3. If I'm not mistaken, Vox can pry open any door. Hard pass thank you. Their alternative gas for respiration is also a pain. On ERP, sure. But make it well known if you're working and are caught you can expect a demotion or to have that character fired.
  4. Armor gloves and feet please. It's annoying that everyone just tries shooting other peoples' hands off with machine guns or laser rifles.
  5. Bump, shit is STILL ugly af to look at.
  6. I see it as a balance thing, I don't think we should get more stuff when it can be argued IPCs are over powered. Aesthetic changes are more fair versus mechanic buffs, which is arguably your idea.
  7. Make an option to hide the sprite of goggles and glasses on IPCs. I shouldn't really need to explain this, it looks disgusting to wear SecHud, MedHud or what not on a majority of chassis. Give us the option, some people like CRASA embrace their awkward eyepiece, I despise it.
  8. As someone with multiple IPC characters, I get yelled at consistently if I am not wearing a uniform. I spawn harnesses on all my IPCs.
  9. Sideways jump here, but having an IPC option to 'Toggle Goggles Visual" would be great. Throw it in the IC tab to hide the model of goggle or glasses but they are still removable and what not for balance. While that doesn't exist, I will be pushing for this daily or hourly.
  10. BYOND Key: Haveatya Character name: Breacher-G031 Item name: Security Grade Optics Why is your character carrying said item to work? It works in security, so it has security grade equipment Item function(s): Function as security hud sunglasses Item description: Nearly invisible overlay over the optic center of Breacher Gamma Zero Three One Item appearance: None, literally How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Well a Gen2 IPC with HuD sunglasses needed to fulfill the role it was designed for seems silly, yes, this is sort of breaching the 'nothing for the sake of aesthetics' rule, but have you seen the gen 2 industrial with glasses? It looks ridiculous. Additional comments: I've been here a few years and I think Breacher has created enough of a name for itself that people would respect the aesthetic custom item with no advantages to the easily accessible security item.
  11. You wanna be robust? You want them style points? Well here you go, I'm about to rock your Tau Ceti System. To start making them killer macros, you're gonna go window of your SS13 game once you've logged onto the server for some spess men memes. Scroll your way down this thicc menu of elite robustness and click on client. https://www.dropbox.com/s/i2990ixfv4fuypz/Screenshot%202018-01-18%2020.57.14.png?dl=0 Now you're gonna finesse that mouse button 1 real nice and gentle like when you're hovering over macros. https://www.dropbox.com/s/mald6oua1d7otn3/Screenshot%202018-01-18%2021.03.03.png?dl=0 Now that you have a nice window that is as barren as my love life, click on new macros and go crazy making stuff. https://www.dropbox.com/s/721sqv2z418i3h1/Screenshot%202018-01-18%2021.04.54.png?dl=0 Note that what you put in is what is literally placed into to the text bar at the bottom. Some examples of mine are.... Alt + 1 with the command:{ resist } for maximum evasion of being tabled by Valid Hunter McUrist. Shift + WASD have command: { westface, eastface, northface, southface } according to the bind, this makes it easy to better visualize the RP your spend your tokens on. Alt + 8 has command : { face-direction } so good old Officer Breacher G-031 can moon walk into the hotspot and robust some baldies in style. For maximum memery I added robot vocalizations to macros as well. Shift 7,8,9 produce ping, beep, and buzz. Command : { Say "*ping" } for example. I hope I learned y'all a thing or two, I have a half bottle of Everclear to get back to. Go and do cool things. PS: Don't spam auditory emotes, it will mute you after three of four and then you can't do nothin' but beg an admin to unmute you.
  12. I enjoyed watching you rp as a ghost. Your character has real flaws and you as a player seeks roleplay over just seeking to survive or get a valid. Both traits I very much appreciate.
  13. Ive enjoyed you being around. Ive seen you as vamp as a Sec IPC and Human Pmed. Good use of antag to keep things exciting. I haven't shared a ton of conversations with you but see no reason why I wouldn't want to.
  14. Yes.
  15. You appear resistant just for the sake of resistance. I'd like to hear other input. You just tell me what else I can do, which is stuff I already know. 4/5 times miners are mining when other miners fall and techs can't let people into mining. Paramedics have access to the lock already but would end up in somewhere they can't get out of.
  16. The mining airlock is what paramedics want access to. Not mining itself. That airlock is the only real option when trying to get into the mines for a SAR and has a hoist and ladder.
  17. I think the factor that makes reasonable is that janitors have more department access to clean up dirt than a paramedic does to save lives. Where's the rationale there? Overall I think almost all staff should have access to general areas of the department. This being engineers, paramedics, sec. Heads should have access to everywhere except captain's office. This isn't the reason I am here though. I'm advocating a very reasonable change based off current access and adding more variation between the arguably superior emergency physician and the EMT/Paramedic.
  18. Now that people are talking, some of them even insulting me or my intelligence (thanks). I threw out the idea to get people discussing how we can promote a more realistic medical experience. How this is done is not something I expect any single person can come up with but I believe is something to be addressed. It upsets me that people would rather die than roleplay a recovery experience. On a heavy roleplay server you shouldn't be so quick to say 'this isn't valid hunting' or 'I can't be saving the station from a blob'. People do actually get hurt and have to recover. I know that on a real life level, you really appreciate interaction and see a different side of people who are injured or around people that are injured. With this in mind I still support the concept and reasoning behind my suggestion. I also don't actually think my suggestion is a great solution to the current medical system. I'd like to see what we, as a group can come up with.
  19. I can understand that. Being able to get into the temporary morgue would still be nice, but I am a little lost at what a paramedic does in the temporary morgue? Just moving bodies in and out I imagine? Moving bodies in and yes, also a good place for antag things to take place along with the autopsy room. Cloning is also connected to a very key maintenance access airlock for treating people on the bridge in a hurry.
  20. The paramedic (and EMT by relation) are designed to get to employees around the station and render aid quickly. This is great and most of the Paramedics I know are good at the job (or are new and will be soon). The problem here is a lack of access to getting to patients. The janitor has more access to science, security, and engineering then an emergency medical provider. I lobby for increasing the access of paramedic to basic areas of security, science, and engineering. On this note I think the paramedic should get full access to mining (not cargo) because their job is very clearly there to assist fallen miners and being unable to get them is crippling.
  21. I don't mind losing cloning access. Just let me keep temp morgue and move that rear maintenance door to somewhere accessible to me then. Cloning itself, now that I know I can't do it, will be a loss but acceptable. Being unable to get there is a problem for me as a player from practical perspectives.
  22. Medical is nice and well designed. It has a cool sublevel and some patient wings. Too bad no one ever needs to get there except to be ganked by a Vampire and Changeling (*high five to that guy*). A quick clot and a toss into cryo cells cures most people within two or three minutes. I'd advocate for much longer times of healing. A maximum of two of each type of damage per minute. An individual that gets diced with an energy sword and earns 60 brute should be feeling the pain awhile. This change promotes the use of acute patient wings and encourages long term care and respect for medical protocols and personnel. Now at first many people may hate this idea, but realize this is a heavy role play server. People do not want to get injured and even in Star Wars or Star Trek, injured personnel are still taken off duty for a decent amount of time. This may be jumping to a second suggestion, but it is tightly related. Increase the time of surgery actions to take a minute or two each. Surgery takes time to perform properly.
  23. I like it, improves immersion.
  24. Reporting Personnel: Breacher G-031 [ckey:Haveatya] Rank of Reporting Personnel: Security Officer Game ID: bRL-dqKU Personnel Involved: (Name, Rank: Offender/Witness/Other (Ckey)) -Eleanor Shen (Offender) [ckey:XanderDox] -Leo Wyatt (Witness) [ckey:Keinto] -Kalren Halstere (Witness) -Ka'Viax'Lo Zo'ra (Witness) -Jake Norman (Witness) [ckey:Veterangary] Time of Incident: -- Real time: 1700EST Location of Incident: Medical Sublevel Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty [x]Harassment []Assault [x]Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: I was involved in an altercation with suspect where Jake Norman and Ka'Viax'Lo Zo'ra were attempting to escape his attack. The suspect did not comply to orders to stand down and resisted paper spray, flash, and stun prods. At this time I was tackled by inhuman strength and pinned. The suspect began to attack me with a crowbar. Jake Norman subsequently killed the suspect with the dropped stun baton through blunt trauma to the head. Following my report that a suspect was killed I was immediately berated by heads of staff. Eleanor Shen repeatedly called me inadequate and insulted me multiple times before suspending me without pay without listening to advice of the Head of Security Kalren Halstere or waiting for a formal report from investigator Leo Wyatt.
