KingOfThePing
What's up guys, VSauce Micheal here ya boi here, you all know it's shit and I thought it's time to whine about it. The in-game formatting of character records makes me want to gauge out my eyeballs. You know, not when they are being printed out, but when you look at them on laptops. Consoles. Or the PDA. Do not get me wrong, I am no coder, I cannot propose or make a real suggestion how it could look better or how it could be made. But maybe someone who is capable of doing that could explain why the records look the way they are and what could be done about it. So my suggestion is nothing more than to change them to something more pleasing. Please like comment and subscribe feel free to add your thoughts or critique to that topic. Link to comment
Scheveningen
Do you have any specific examples you could cite as more aesthetically pleasing and more functional records? Link to comment
Guest Marlon Phoenix
Ok what should they look like Is it a formatting issue Is it a color scheme issue ???? Link to comment
BurgerBB
Records is in need of an overhaul. They need to be standardized to be easily read by medical personnel. Link to comment
KingOfThePing
I am sorry, I just noticed I should've included some pictures and explained further what I meant. I will do this as soon as I can. Link to comment
KingOfThePing
Alright, time for "How character records are currently in-game make me want to kill myself: Part II", this time with 100% more examples of what I think is not that good. First of all a picture of how the records look on a) the (medical) laptops (left side) and b) on the PDA (right side) I used my own records, which I did after the example ones that are suggested in the wiki. Now I wil point out what exactly makes me want to kill myself: First problem: The character records are just an empty field you can write in, when you are in Character Setup. Same if you use Web Interface. This causes records to not be uniform, which can make it very, very difficult to read them. Filling out premade fields could solve that, maybe. Second problem: The formatting is off, when it comes to records on the PDA. The formatting is off and makes some records quite literal impossible to read. Link to comment
Carver
Generally if they look terrible, it's due to poor formatting on either the player's part or whatever format they chose to follow. A horizontal scrollbar would fix that PDA problem. But, I heavily disagree with pre-made fields; as they generally either lack something or another I want in a record, or have something I find fairly pointless and/or stupid. Link to comment

Could have a metric ton of fields to fill out though. And have the fields left blank be left out of the ingame records? Pretty generalized for everyone, but with as much info as you want/need, Link to comment
Guest Marlon Phoenix
When medical records get longer than a paragraph I just stop reading, but some people enjoy putting huge blocks of text in there Link to comment

People who don't fill them presently won't likely do so anyways, and it's moreso just a middle finger to people who like tinkering with their own custom formats. Link to comment
