Scheveningen Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 It should mostly stand to reason that it doesn't make much sense that Vaurcae eject inhaled phoron directly into the atmosphere just through taking a breath, because even humans exhale CO2 and not a lot of oxygen. The only reason they do right now is because lolbreathingcode. If this were to be fixed so that they exhale nitrogen into the air or something, it'd prevent use-cases where Vaurcae passively poison atmosphere because of breathing.

The normal air you breath consists roughly of 21% O2 and 79% N2 Around 3-5% of O2 are replaced with CO2 so you exhale roughly 4% CO2 17% O2 and 79% N2 (That ignores gases and other contents which exist in trace amounts in the air and make up around 1%)
Snakebittenn Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 It'd be neat if the mandible garment (or another mask entirely) functioned like a divers' rebreather.
Alberyk Posted June 16, 2019 Posted June 16, 2019 Pretty sure that this happens due to their phoron tank code, that is meant to leak once in a while.
Butterrobber202 Posted June 17, 2019 Posted June 17, 2019 Vaurca leak phoron up to a certain percent, which is just under the "oh fuck I can't breath this shit" and just above the "AH MY CIGAR IS ON FIRE" so at the moment its not that a big of a deal outside the fact vaurca are walking anti-smoking signs.
