Scheveningen Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Title. I'm kind of irked by the fact mod/admin staff to declare PAUSE, STOP, DON'T MOVE, DON'T DO ANYTHING, etc., because it disrupts roleplay flow and nothing is more awkward than having to stand still and alt-tab until mods/admins finish the ticket. My round, and by extension the round of anyone present at a situation that is "frozen", should not have to stop because of a ticket being opened. Mods/admins shouldn't be able to do this, the freeze verb should be used for dealing with griefers and nothing more as well.
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 This is a bad idea. They need the power to enforce the rules. -1
AmoryBlaine Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 Situational, really. Not every situation should be frozen, but some situations should be.
ben10083 Posted September 4, 2019 Posted September 4, 2019 There are many ooc reasons why a mod would freeze the situation, any abuse of it can be dealt with a staff complaint. Removal of this feature would cause WAY more harm than good. -1
Garnascus Posted September 6, 2019 Posted September 6, 2019 The premise here is really vague. It is one more tool in staff's arsenal. Sometimes winding one person is all that is needed. Sometimes we need to ask an entire group stop fighting because one greytider tossed a grenade. -1
Flamingo Posted December 4, 2019 Posted December 4, 2019 Almost everyone has already said my thoughts. It is a tool we use to deal with a situation, and while it sucks, occasionally it must be employed. Voting for dismissal.
