Sheeplets Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 Ever since the respite I've had problems finding these things on the walls, mostly because they just look like all the rest of the wall-mounted clutter now. It would be great to upsize them a bit, or at the very least change them to their old bright red again so they aren't as easy to lose.
Chada1 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 By fire alarm, you mean an air alarm, correct? @UncleJo
Chada1 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) Oof after seeing the alarm animation and a lot of other things I've decided not to do this. It would require like 810438567 new versions of the sprite and it's already super high quality EDIT: W8 NO I found the fire alarms. Yes I can do this and it might also help to apply the 'Above Lighting Layer' to it which would make it not blend into the lighting so much. I prefer the latter solution and I'll do that. Chada1 Posted April 26, 2020 Posted April 26, 2020 (edited) I could turn the fire cabinets' red instead too which might help make the clutter a little less crazy. Edited April 26, 2020 by Chada1
wowzewow Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 (edited) I'll try to do something about it Edited April 27, 2020 by wowzewow
Sheeplets Posted April 27, 2020 Author Posted April 27, 2020 (edited) Edit: I don't know how to read. Ignore this post. Edited April 27, 2020 by UncleJo
Chada1 Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Just now, UncleJo said: @Chada1 I was talking about these. The air alarms already look nice as they are. Yup I figured that out and I'm in the process of trying to get a good red resprite of them out, or revert to the old sprites, could be either one.
Pratepresidenten Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 I think this is lots better. Highliy visible, as a fire alarm should be!
Guest Menown Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 That's insanely better. The red makes it stand out like actual fire alarms.
GreenBoi Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 That's good. Fire alarms are meant to be red anyways, so you can easily find them in a panic- which is actually pretty useful ingame too since fie usually spreads fast (if it isn't, you have enough time to extinguish it).
Chada1 Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 Alright, the PR to address this issue can be found here: https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/8772 I decided not to recolor the fire cabinet.

Chada1 Posted April 28, 2020 Posted April 28, 2020 I changed it again and this is what it looks like. I think this improved it still a fair bit.
Chada1 Posted April 29, 2020 Posted April 29, 2020 This PR will take a little longer to be merged than expected for technical reasons.
Chada1 Posted April 30, 2020 Posted April 30, 2020 As of now, this is merged. I guess this thread can be closed/give feedback on the change here.
