Burrito Justice Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 IT'S ME, I'M BACK Ckey/BYOND Username: Burrito Justice (burritojustice) Position Being Applied For: Wiki Maintainer Have you read the Lore Team Rules and Regulations wiki page? Yes Past Experiences/Knowledge: Already been on the team before, mostly joined back then to fix a number of pages that were outdated/ugly/supreme yucky status. Now I'm back to... do the exact same thing! Except now I don't have to submit changes to be approved by someone else! Anyway, I took a break from maintaining wikis after I left so I've probably forgotten a few tricks of the trade, but I'm sure this won't be an issue. Examples of Past Work: https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Guide_to_Medicine - Most of this https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Uplink - Setup the groundwork for this and added all of the uplink items at the time https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Guide_to_Hydroponics - Revamped this. Gotta update it now though https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Guide_to_EVA - This, as well as a guide to voidsuits and hardsuits. Glad to see they've been kept up to date! https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Job_Guides - Most of the meme descriptions here. Additional Comments: Currently my eyes are on fixing the chemistry wiki because wow it's still icky even though I was trying to find ways to fix it last time.
Synnono Posted August 2, 2020 Posted August 2, 2020 (edited) Burrito is filled with a peculiar and specific rage. It is a rage that corrects typos and updates process, and I want them to be free to do both. I will be sure to funnel all my own corrections through them if they are accepted, as some sort of shadow-editor. Edited August 2, 2020 by Synnono
Scheveningen Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 I can think of no other person who deserves this burden but Burrito Justice themselves. I can attest for their awesome, unbridled fury pertaining to dealing with bureaucratic errors and inaccuracies. This is the only person who I can trust for the job.
Chada1 Posted August 3, 2020 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) Burrito was potentially the best wiki maintainer I've ever accepted when I was wiki lead, I trust them immensely and I think it'd be great to see them working with the wiki again -- Even if they wouldn't be working with me this time. FreshRefreshments Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 +1. As others have stated, Burrito has the rage a wiki maintainer needs. Thats really all that can be said at this point. They've done good work in the past, they're requesting to be able to continue doing good work now.
Faris Posted August 4, 2020 Posted August 4, 2020 Burrito happens to be one of those cases where you’d like to rush their approval. Their work speaks in regards to how well they are familiar with the wiki. As a person they are extremely agreeable and are not prone to causing any issues with others. I have no issues with seeing them accepted.
Coalf Posted August 9, 2020 Posted August 9, 2020 This application seems solid. I just have a question about how long do you see yourself on the team?
Burrito Justice Posted August 9, 2020 Author Posted August 9, 2020 Definitely longer than last time, if all goes well. Back then I was mostly just on the team to exercise my abilities as a wiki maintainer and maybe help a server lacking in maintainers out a bit without actually being that involved with the community other than taking suggestions from users on how to improve pages. I left because I had deemed most of what I wanted to change/update complete, and I had thought Chada had a handle on the rest of it. Now I'm actually planning to stick around. I of course don't know for how long exactly, but I'm trying to get a little more involved with the server and its lore, and I can see this helping to extend my stay. If anything, I at least want to be around when NBT comes to be so that I can tackle updating everything on the wiki related to it.
