Sheeplets Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 As it stands now you can effectively, permanently stun someone so long as you keep their brain activity under or exactly at 50%. If you don't have a surgeon or alkysine they're effectively removed from the round without consequence, and worst of all they're 100% stable and won't degrade. It's basically an inescapable brain damage jail and is very, very easy to exploit to ruin someone's round with if you're a medical player who understands how to game it to your advantage. I'd suggest we bump it down and tack the paralysis effect onto the list of bad things that happen at <20% brain activity. For those of you unaware, when you reach that point you can no longer breathe on your own and can't maintain a pulse. Without immediate and intensive care at this stage you have next to no chance of survival.
Melariara Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 This or 30% would be good. The amount of times I see miners lying flat on the shuttle because they can't access the controls to bring them home is amazing and it'd be nice not to have to worry about miners just dying.
Roostercat Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 I think 30 percent is a happy middle ground. 20 percent and below you are essentially on death's door, but realistically flat unconciousness should at least happen before that. Good change either way, won't be heartbroken if more people want the 20 percent.
Captain Gecko Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Agreed as well. On the science side, makes me think of a few anomalies that would be much more manageablewith a move like that. The Statuette for instance, is so hard to manage not because of the monsters and all, but because of the constant blood-drain, leaving you with something like a minute or two before you're too dumb to press a button, and be able effectively try to study/contain it. +1
MattAtlas Posted August 8, 2022 Posted August 8, 2022 Not against this, honestly. Put up a PR and I can testmerge it.
