AOOC color change

I don't care what color it becomes but can someone PLEASE make AOOC not the exact same color as Security comms.

This is NOT SecAntag punishment as its punishing me as Loyalist Captain!!!

Out of contextual curiosity, does this issue apply to both UI modes? I don’t use dark mode so I’m not 100% on if it’s one or both.

It does. It's very similar. The problem is, we're running out of colors to use.

Do we use Cyan for anything? That, and perhaps a darker Teal for light mode, could work - but I'm unsure if Cyan is used anywhere in dark mode.

Medical is blue enough to be confused with it. What about gold? Not brown, like Ops. But a deep gold?

Cyan is used for CCIA chat, although whether this is a big enough reason to bar cyan as an option is still open to discussion.

I'd suggest trying a different shade a red, enough to be easily picked out against sec (perhaps darker shade). Pink would be obnoxious, but could work. Teal, like Idris, could work. Deep gold could work (although I'd rather that used for another radio if I had my way with radio colors, but that's fkr a different thread).

Not to belittle CCIA talk, I think it's best if AOOC shared a colour with not common, command or security as a priority. I've had this exact issue as a loyalist captain, or even as a merc with sec radio going ot the headset, and I'm sure nearly every antag will say their priority to pay attention to is AOOC, common, command or security.

Perhaps instead of changing AOOC's colors, we should change Security's colors. Security doesn't even use red as a department color anymore, so why is it still their radio color?

My opinion's are pretty much in line with Camo's. I'd much rather change command to gold, change sec to blue, and leave AOOC alone. This way, every channel has a distinct color and the channel colors mostly align with the department colors.

As a Command/Sec Main I would love for the Gold/Blue change! It would look great on darkmode too which I use so I'm doubly in favour of the idea.

https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/18059 makes the text for AOOC bold, it's not a different color, but should help distinguish the two, which is the ultimate point of the suggestion I think
