When are you on Aurora?: In the week, mostly in the afternoon, around 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm, then at the night, which could go to 10:00 pm to the begin of the deadhour. Also at weekends, I would spend a fair share of my time online. I can also get online in the morning for some time.

How long have you played SS13?: Around one year.

How long have you played on Aurora: Around twelve months.

How much do you know about SS13 (Baystation build) game mechanics?: Quite good, I can perform most of the jobs without major problems, the only areas that I may find some trouble is atmos, genetics, and telecoms, which I am not afraid to learn. And also I know how most of the antags and gamemodes works as well.

Do you have any experience moderating for an SS13 server?:None.

Have you ever been banned, and if so, how long and why?: Once in a Russian server, for spacing the clown while we were on the arrivals shuttle, I was unable to speak to the admins, since I don’t know Russian. But I was never banned at Aurora.

Why do you play SS13?: Because it is an amazing game which several possibilities, and the rp element which some serves pursues makes it far more amusing than it is.

Why do you play on Aurora?:Because it is one of the few rp oriented server which I can truly enjoy, and it is the place where I did build most of my characters and their plots.

What do moderators do?: They deal mostly with adminhelps and other situations that may rise, at all they moderate issues and problems that happens between players in game, such as rule-breaking, griffers or even doubts that players may have. They also use the server rules as a guideline while managing issues.

What does it mean to be a moderator for our server?: Moderators are here to help the community as a whole, to make the game more enjoyable and help to keep a decent standards of rp as well. As well deal be a communication link between players regarding issues.

Why do you want to be a moderator?:Because I wish to help the aurora community and the server, since I can’t do much in areas like code and etc, I still want to contribute more to a game and community which I really enjoy. So being a moderator is the way I found to help aurora at all.

What qualities do you possess that would make you a good moderator?:

I believe that I can be level-headed, since I like to examine any situation by looking through both parties point of view and the evidence itself. I also know a lot about the game, which can help to solve situations and doubts. I really think that communication is important, so when in doubt or in need of a second opinion I try to speak to others to deal with the issues and then make a decision. I can speak Portuguese (br) as well, so I’m able to deal with a certain type of grey-tide with ease.

How well do you handle stress, anger, or insults?: I believe that insults are not a problem to me. It also takes a lot of effort to make me particularity angry about issues, mostly regarding video-games, so I think that when analyzing a situation I won’t be affected by it. And if I am distressed by any situation, when I calm down and after breathing deeply; I can deal with things in a better way and even recognize any mistakes I have made.

Anything Else You Want to Add:

Sorry about any typos or grammatical errors, English is not my native language.

Hi alberyk, im glad to see you decided to make a mod app. I think you're a good roleplayer and i think your overall style would be a benefit to the team. Although sometimes even when we are IC we have to drop things to handle an ahelp or deal with an issue, is this something you are gonna be able to handle?

Yes, I think so. If you have to aghost or reply to an ahelp, you can tell people over looc to wait for a bit or the ssd messages just appears on your character when you are using the ghosting tool.

So, I was watching Alberyk the past few days, and I have to admit, his OOC behavior, is interesting. In a good way. He can explain things pretty good. Especially rules about antags.

Also, I like his general attitude. I think he'd make a great mod.

Has my support.

Huh. Some time ago, I thought that Alberyk is a primitive caveman, just enjoying robusting other players with their liggers.

But, after some OOC/ghost chat discussions, I believe that Alberyk is a reasonable person, and may be a good moderator.

That's a +1

Moderator PM to-Alberyk: So, situation one. You are a trial mod. Somebody joins with name Obama, bald assistant, 30 years. What would you do?

Player PM from-Alberyk/(Alberyk)(?): Alright, I pm the player, explain to him the rules about the naming of characters, that reference names are not allowed and etc, so his character name must be changed, also I ask for him to read the rules, also I will ask an admin to change his character's name when possible.

Moderator PM to-Alberyk: Alright, second situation. Nuke round. You see a QM equipped with weapons rushing to the nuke ops and killing 3 of them. A nuke op ahelps about the QM. What would you do?

Player PM from-Alberyk/(Alberyk)(?): I pm the qm asking why he did that and the reasons that his character had to rush armed operatives as a civillian, I also explain to him the rule about sticking to sane characters and that grabbing weapons and fighting a group of armed terrorists as the quartermaster would be against it. But I believe I will first ask his reasons to do so.

Moderator PM to-Alberyk: The QM says that he got tired of the nuke ops and wanted to end the round.

Player PM from-Alberyk/(Alberyk)(?): I explain to him that everyone's actions should be aimed to keep the round fun for everyone, that by him just rushing and killing the operatives it would just negate far more rp opportunities and interaction from both the crew and the antags. Also, that aiming to end the round because you don't enjoy it is bad, since people mostly voted for it and if he wanted the round to end, he could have waited to vote for a crew transfer or wait until things settle themself in an organic way.

Moderator PM to-Alberyk: Alright, last situation. A player ahelps that he was permabrigged for no reason. What would you do?

Player PM from-Alberyk/(Alberyk)(?): I would ask for him to give me the name of the officer that arrested him and the players involved in it, so I can ask them what happened, I would alsp pm the hos and the warden if there is any.

Moderator PM to-Alberyk: Alright, a final question. If you were a staff member. Would you change something? Would you make something different? Staff policy, rules, etc.

Player PM from-Alberyk/(Alberyk)(?): I don't think so, I am quite satisfied with the actual rules, staff policy of the server at all, also with the actual staff as well
