so heres some thought out criticism i have about your characters. consider these suggestions if you wana make your characters cooler.

Ziva Mo'Taki

she should date travis

Rasine Ha'kim

she should not claw travis, and date travis.

Katana Silvers

she should get life like anatomy then date travis.

she should be younger and date travis.

My interactions have primarily been with Ziva and Katana, both of whom are very entertaining. I don't really have any negative input to offer, and because my general impression if overwhelmingly positive, it's hard for me to offer anything specific.

how i see your characters is basically how one would occasionally see and react to an acquaintance or a fellow employee from your workplace bumping into you at the grocery store. Sure, you smile and wave a bit, try and make small talk, but you can't help but remind yourself you have almost nothing in common and the only reason you're even conversing with each other is that it's just common courtesy and probably the only thing going for the either of you is that you both happen to exist in the same plane of existence. You wish silently for more but it'll probably never happen.

I have to admit Katana made me stop playing for a few weeks. She can be infuriating to no end.

Samantha Black is a bureaucratic paperwork fetishist, and a total bitch who makes everyone's lives miserable. When i see her running medbay i just go play engineering sometimes. I feel like she might be better as head of personnel, but maybe that's just a personal desire so that i don't have to deal with her.

ECOM is my favouritest AI ever, though. The notifications about wounded and deceased personnel really make my life easier, and ECOM has saved countless people with them. I don't care if others find it annoying, the safety of the crew comes first, and i feel safe with ECOM in charge. It seems stressful to be so proactive though, and ecom does seem to go into storage quite often, which saddens me.

There's been a few times i've thought of breaking into the AI core and wiping it, just to get rid of an inept AI so ECOM could take over.

I actually disagree with that, greatly. Black knows when paperwork is needed and I have really never seen her be a "total bitch who makes everyone's lives miserable." I am not trying to call you out on that but I would rather see feedback instead of just name-calling. Like, what you find wrong with the character.

Also, paperwork isn't inherently evil. It is there for a reason and when I am in Medbay, I say she uses a fair amount of it. It makes everything more organized in my opinion

Yes, that's good leadership. Great leadership involves drinking in your office with the privacy shutters down, insisting you're doing paperwork. But good leadership manages.

Samantha Black seemed to be quite a strong and helpful character once I had my own impression of her. Rumors were that she was just cruel and loved paperwork and making life hard, but that didn't seem to truly be the case after a while. Once Aerianna interacted with her, it seemed very likely instead that Samantha merely took her position very seriously and sought to create an organized and fluid medbay.

Aerianna would have grown to like her in time, I feel, because she definitely gave off a professional air that did inspire Aerianna to try and improve herself. It wasn't intimidating so much as it was just an image to aspire to in Aerianna's eyes. As for the autopsy, Aerianna didn't inform Samantha about her friendship with Manfred and merely reacted in a naturally shaky way. And regardless, Aerianna did have a job to do, so she couldn't decline her duties.

To sum up my point, I feel Samantha Black was an excellent character.

I have had only a few interactions with Black as Wald, and it's hard to recall them. Sorry I can't tell much about them.

ALL THOUGH, ECOM is an AI I'm happy see around. It's good to have an AI sometimes that isn't some edgy, sassy, personified computer.
