Outboarduniform
BYOND key: Outboarduniform Character names: Cameron Howe , John Brandy , Juan Siganto , Ernesto Rafael How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Around a year Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: because i've always wanted the privilege of being a head of staff on the Aurora Why did you come to Aurora?: I started on Aurora because Hypatia was starting to overflow with snowflakes and UT banned me for bullshit reasons Have you read the BS12 wiki on the head roles you plan on playing?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplay , in it's essence , is attempting (and succeeding) at imitating your character's thoughts and actions. Roleplaying is attempting to divulge into the mind of your character , almost as if trying to actually BE them. It is essentially , attempting to be another person. Of course , there are some fuck-ups now and then , but most of them can be dismissed. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: Provide stability and order for their department. Commanding or leading your team/department with expert knowledge. Provide a medium for when things go horribly , horribly wrong. Also , call for Evacuation , ERT , and in general helping provide good RP. Additionally , they serve to put certain people in line when they become rowdy/refuse to do their job , etc. , etc. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: the responsibilities of a whitelisted player is to uphold their race (or job as a head of staff) , be proficient in their field of work , and most importantly , keeping your Department up and running smoothly like a well oiled machine. Another responsibility of a whitelisted player is to provide some sort of stability when shit hits the fan. an example of this would be knowing what to do when people are screaming at you at all different directions to call for an evac or ERT. To uphold such things are a simple matter: RP as a responsible head of staff ( Who NanoTrasen entrusts in leading a certain department) , and keep a level head (NanoTrasen wouldn't hire a head of staff who was a panic attack anytime something goes wrong). Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Juan Siganto Character age: 35 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Juan Siganto was born in a relatively wealthy family in terms of housing and wealth. He was considered a 'middle-class citizen' , so to speak. He was born in the city of Olympia , on June 11th 2422. He attended Johnson's elementary school , where he was considered a 'Top Class Student' by many of his teachers. after finishing the 5th grade , he moved on to Mandela Middle School , where he was top of his class , and was the Tight End of the football team. After their team made it to planetary finals , he tore a ligament and was unable to compete. The team managed to win the finals , and now has a trophy with everyone on the team's name on it who participated - Excluding Siganto. After the 8th grade , he quit football and became more interested with Academics - Signing up for forensics , biology , and other classes at his New School - Browns high school. He was still a 'Grade A student' - but was involved in a legal affair that almost got them years in Sol Alliance prison. During the 12th grade - May 4th , 2440 , he was almost arrested for Possession and distribution of illegal Drugs - the charge was dropped due to insufficient evidence. After graduating high school with a Cum Laude , he was offered a scholarship to Evans University in Forensics - which he took up on. He graduated with his Bachelor's degree on May 30th , 2444 , with Magna Cum Laude , and never went back for a master's degree. He took up interest in NanoTrasen and was employed on the NSS Springer in the Asteroid Belt as a Forensic Technician. After 2 years of experience and no major events , he was given clearance as a security officer , and requested transfer to the NSS Potomac - near Pluto. Only one major experience happened there - where a Chief Medical Officer by the name of Ronald Haynes managed to smuggle a revolver on board , and went on a killing spree - 5 dead , 3 injured. Siganto shot them dead with a lethal round , and they were morgued with a DNC notice. After having 5 more years of experience , he was Promoted to Warden , and requested transfer to the NSS Aurora - His transfer was Approved. As of today , Siganto is qualified to be an official head of security on station , and is pending board review on whether the promotion should be given to him or not. What do you like about this character?: quick on the trigger , knows when to raise the alarm. knows when and when not to use lethal and non-lethal force (pretty important with the mall cops we have running around now) What do you dislike about this character?: has the tendency to break prisoner's kneecaps if they assault an officer in Communal or Solitary. Also loves paperwork , which i mean....my god paperwork slows shit down. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: his quick thinking , knowledge of space law , almost strict adherence to procedure , and ability to manage the brig and security. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10 Extra notes: I was too lazy to write about contract/Psychological Evaluations and interviews and such Link to comment

Guest
I think you've come very far since I saw you join Aurora, at first, Siganto was a character I mulled over ahelping/complaining about a few times too be honest, he was a little bit baldy mixed with a hint of determination to improve, so I relented and gave him a shot. You've come a long way since then, you've improved your roleplaying ability, your characters and yourself +1 mate, hope to see Siganto HoS soon. Link to comment
DatBerry
though i havent interacted with his other characters, juan is one of the good officers onboard, i think they would do good as a head of secuirty, and outboard is friendly OOCly too, +1 from me Link to comment
Arrow768
From what I´ve seen hes one of the better officers Link to comment
Nanako
My strongest memory of juan siganto, repeatedly, is him going to cryo mid round. Everyone's done it sometimes, but i feel in your case its abnormally high, to the degree that it sticks in my mind as a defining character trait. Juan Siganto loves his cryosleep. It's happened a lot before now, but a round yesterday particularly irked me, when the captain contacted you, mentioned they'd noticed your application, and offered to promote you to interim head of security. I was in security that shift, the whole department took a vote on it, and you accepted the position. You had a lot of chances to turn it down, and nobody would have though t less of you for doing so, but you accepted it. Then a short time later, 10-15 minutes it felt like, you went to cryo suddenly and without warning, after not really doing much of anything, in the middle of a crisis. That round was a mess, we really needed a leader, 12 people in the brig at one point, and total chaos everywhere Real life happens to everyone, but yours seems to have more sudden demands on it. And when you're an officer or a warden whose function can be taken over, its no big deal to drop out. but as a head of staff you have a certain level of responsibility to other players, and a certain level of investment in seeing it through It pains me, and i'm deeply sorry, but -1 from me Link to comment
Icuris
Nanako's concern is valid however my interactions with Jaun as my warden in the past has left me with a positive impression. With that note in mind I would give it a +1 as long as that issue is noted and worked on. Beyond that not much else to say. And remember, being a head of security is easy, so long as you are never wrong. ((Edit: If Jaun is the warden that kept up all of the paperwork about three weeks back during a high pop antag round then you deserve a trophy. If not: Disregard both this compliment and the positive feeling on the inside. Thank you.)) Link to comment
Outboarduniform
If it was the one where CC sent three important faxes to the wardens office , then yes , i was the warden that round Link to comment
ArcBot
I've interacted with Juan on multiple occasions, non which were extensive but I've never seen him break SOP, and he's always roleplaying. Seems like he's been around Aurora for a while to, so +1 from me. Link to comment
Ricky_the_banshee
Oh boy, Siganto as HoS. Let's have a look; Character name: Juan Siganto As someone who has interacted with Siganto multiple times, I can tell that it's definitely an officer to look up to. He holds up to SoP, listens to Command and does his job. If what Nanako says is true about you leaving Mid-round for cryo then I do suggest working on that (But then again, I can't say if this is because you are a busy person yourself ICly or simply get bored that's all on you.). And playing the Devil's Advocate here too, I have seen other Heads of Staff doing this as well and worse enough they barely announce they go to cryo. I'm not saying this means it's OK, but should there be something which requires you to go for Cryo DO inform your team/Command/Security of this as communication is of essence. Besides, it's nice to know you are leaving before people start yelling for you over the radio and minutes later get the announcement you are stored in cryo storage. Extra notes:I was too lazy to write about contract/Psychological Evaluations and interviews and such I'm not sure if you're refering to Employment/Medical records. But as someone who regularly plays as a Head, Employment records are something you SHOULD work on especially if you want some credibility as to your position (After witnessing some Command channel discussions between Heads lacking records whatsoever.). How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10 Your roleplaying skills are definitely OK for a Security Officer's standards so I do hope you take these with you as a HoS. I would definitely give you a +1 to see you work as a HoS! P.S. Don't break muh legs. Link to comment
Brightdawn
-1 Comes off very aggressive in OOC, I've had to talk to admins about him before I don't feel he would be a good representative of the server and thus a bad fit for whitelisted roles. Link to comment
