Dreviore Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 This may been kinda pointless, but it would be a pretty nice Quality of Life update that would make the game a little easier for some people. Currently, during emergency situations (Emergency shuttle, fire alarms, etc etc) the lights in the room annoyingly flash red. I was just looking to perhaps change that so that it's a SOLID red, as opposed to flashing. I can't speak for everyone, but the current flashing is a strain on my eyes, and makes me want to go hide in my department until last minute so I don't have to endure it.
Carver Posted March 28, 2016 Posted March 28, 2016 This sounds like one of the many things that could do with a clientside toggle, and yet is among the many things that would be a bitch to add a clientside toggle for. Though at the same time there is a darkness toggle for ghosts so it can't be too 'out of there' to make a toggle for flashing/strobe effects.
Nanako Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I can't stand the red flashing, i couldn't stand it even if it was solid red. The whole light overlay thing is a pain. We already have fire alarms that flash red, couldn't they just be made more visible to communicate the situation?
Nikov Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I would like the fire and atmosphere alarms to glow bright red light, rather than flood the entire room in mystery light.
UnknownMurder Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 I think the reason the alarms bright light flickers is because for the same reason as the fire alarms in real life that flickers white. To attract the people with disabilities. It doesn't really bother me when lights are flashing. I've seen movies that involves lightnings flickering.
Gollee Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 It gives Inis seizures; which is funny. But yeah, a clientside toggle for this would be great.
Skull132 Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 A part of me is wondering how CPU intensive it would be to have lights that actually flash, and that can actually be destroyed.
