Additional remarks: I ahelped with a simple question whether or not that CC comms and station comms being permanently disabled all round is worthy of an ERT.


The station telecoms was being devoured by a blob, and everyone was ignoring it. I attempted as the AI this round to get someone to stop it, but no one ever did. Afterward, I ahelped if it would be ok to try and summon an ERT from this. Tricking told me it was not, and ignored any reasoning to the contrary, even ignoring my request to speak to another admin. It was only after a transfer shuttle was called that tricking changed their story and said yes. They claimed to have not known about the blob, and to me that means they failed to investigate anything I ahelped about or argued about for the last 20 minutes of the round.

What I think happened is a 2 way assumption, with me assuming you told me everything and you assuming I knew about the blob.

 

Pretty much how I see it. When you ahelp, it's generally assumed you presented all relevant information. There's a difference between saying its damaged to it being obliterated. But by saying that, it really wouldn't have hurt to had a quick look at T-Comms. No ones really at fault here but communication could've been smoother between both parties. I'm not going to give the 24 hour thing just yet to give more time for others but as it stands, I'm seeing as as a none issue.

Most staff members are alt-tabbed working on other tasks while still on the server. It's important to note that even if a staff member is watching the round closely, that a player utilizing the adminhelp function needs to divulge the most amounts of info necessary needed for a staff member to handle the case properly, otherwise you haven't clued the admin in on what is going on and what they should expect going in. You can easily confuse an admin even if they're watching if you don't phrase what's up properly. Even if you know that they know about it, repeating yourself in an adminhelp at least allows us to know that more than one person takes issue with it.

On one hand you should have specified WHY the Tcomms were disabled.


On the other hand TT should have investigated further.


On the legs, you both argued schematics for 20 minutes instead of doing either of those previous things.

Really not much of an issue personally, it's something to bring up certainly but the end of result to this is relatively simple.


Bygone is requested to provide further information. TT is requested to investigate the matter a bit more thoroughly.


Declaring this resolved and will remain open for the next 24 hours.
