I believe that we should add "Command Secretary" as a job for this server, they will have a small office west of the Detectives office, and are responsible for helping the command staff as much as possible, from filling out paperwork to serving them coffee, they are tasked to help the command staff focus on other things like secretly antagging supervising their department. The job can also scheduled "appointments" for others to talk to command staff. The new job would allow for people who want to help command staff with multiple tasks without being lucky or a clerical module equipped cyborg. Overall it would be a nice addition and will allow people to have some experience in command matters if they want to try to be one themselves.

MISC Information

  • Has a fax machine (can't contact Centcom)
  • Has a small office with a employee records console and a area for people to line up

Un-needed. If Bridge staff want an assistant or secretary there already exists an Office for them and any trustworthy assistant can be promoted by the whitelisted Command staff. This is preferable to anyone just rolling for the slot. -1

Seems pointless, if I have time for appointments as a HoS, I have time to schedule it myself. I don't want a random greytide coming into my office. I don't want someone to schedule my appointments for me either. This will be annoying greytide with extra, even dangerous, access, unless its white listed, which eliminates the purpose. Promote an assistant, don't make a role for it.

Have to agree with tbear on his point with grey tide, seems fairly risky, to make an unwhitelisted role with command access.

Though I do sometimes feel like a "Command Assistant" role could be nice, it's very easy to ask the captain or HoP to be a command assistant/Secretary.

90% of the time someone asks to be a Command Secretary, they get denied. For some reason the older map was more friendly for them, but they've since lost their luster. No thanks.

Well, its another one of those suggestions that comes up regularly.

I dont see that the need for a bridge secretary.

If command staff wants one, they can appoint one.

Regarding office: There is a spare office below the conference room.

As command staff has already the ability to appoint one and a office already exists I am voting for dismissal.
