Pratepresidenten Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 As borgs have their infinite extranet and databases to connect to, wouldnt it make sense for them to know things about the employees they serve aswell? Suggestion is pretty simple: Add the ability for a borg or an AI to access security, medical and employment records via their verbs, instead of needing to hunt down a computer to check.
ben10083 Posted January 27, 2018 Posted January 27, 2018 Makes sense, as they can already check manifest without a computer +1
climax708 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Yep, makes sense. You know how if you're wearing a medical HUD you can access the medical records by examining the person? I think a borg should have access to that (and sec records too).
Butterrobber202 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Makes sense, heck I'd almost give them the department computer apps inside their brains depending on the module they pick.
Azande Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 Security and Medical cyborgs already have huds, additionally - having them be able to wirelessly connect to all three records would make them an incredible security breach waiting to happen. I'm against.
climax708 Posted February 3, 2018 Posted February 3, 2018 What's the security breach? The likely thing is that the only people that may use this breach are antagonists. I say let them! RP antags that exploit stuff in peoples records are better than murderbone antags any day.

I'm against. I dont see how having these is a bigger security breach waiting to happen then.. Having direct knowledge of the nuclear failsafe residing in the vault.

I'm against. ??? They can already do this by rolling up to any console that accesses said records and opening it up. All this is cutting out is needless proximity mechanics. They're lawed to the station, there is no reason to treat cyborgs as 'potential security risks'.
