TheSmiley
BYOND Key: TheSmiley Character name: Freya Chunley Item name: Sol Army Medical Corp Dress, Sol Army Combat Technician Beret Why is your character carrying said item to work? As previously mentioned, Freya has been redeployed to the Sol Army as a Staff Sergeant / Combat Medical Technician. With the consult of Zundy (Lore Write), an agreement was made to publish a new dress for the medical corp and a beret for the specific role. As she comes for a visit after a short day at the Headquarters, I think the appropriate outfit would be the Sol Dress and Beret (I would only visit as Freya once in a week or two). Item function(s): Clothes. Item description: For the Beret: A white military beret worn by the Combat Medical Technicians of the Solarian Army. For the Dress: A fancy military looking dress uniform issued to Sol Alliance Medical Corp. Item appearance: How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? I believe my Role Playing ability has increased ever since I started a development in Chunley's life and lore. I feel a sort of commitment to the Character, and would like to play and Role Play at the best possible terms. Additional comments: The DMI files are already ready. I love you all <3 Link to comment
Candelaio
+1 Its been great to see Chunley evolve as a character, becoming more and more complex over time as their backstory is created/modified. I have had numerous good interactions with them as a character and as a player. I would say a biiiiig +1 to this. Just to give a few details she always hung out with Andie, she is usually a courteous officer and oocly is a great person. Link to comment
Azande
I really want to stop seeing sol uniforms on board. And I'm going to -1 this because of that - it just doesn't make sense to me. Link to comment

For this reason, I have to agree. While it's great that you've worked with Zundy to come up with a look for this, there should be a point at which staff simply says no more to the influx of people wearing military uniforms to a corporate research station for no other reason than to just show affiliation with an organization that literally invaded the system a year ago. In my opinion, it's something that shouldn't have started in the first place. Link to comment

I was about to slide in here and lay down the smack down, but these two handled my opinions in a much nicer way, so I’ll have to agree with them. -1 Link to comment
Guest Menown
Just for ease of issue and handling this, I've taken the effort of searching our archive for other Sol items that have been denied, approved, or whatever else happens to custom items! https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=1411 https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=10050 https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=9262 https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=9709 https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=9565 TishinaStalker has ruled previously on this issue regarding these with what's been presented here in this thread, https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=101&t=1832&p=17343#p17334 I believe the circumstances dictate that if you're serving some form of purpose, the uniform is okay but as a standard uniform for an officer job, or any other position it's not, as with Kalren and his not-wearing of his uniform during his capacity as a Head of Security, with the code itself being job-locked to visitor, as shown here, https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=99&t=9262&start=10#p86236 Link to comment
Mcspizzy
As many inside of this topic have already stated: please, please! No more sol military stuff! It boggles my mind as to why someone in the sol military, actively no less would ever want to step foot alone into tau ceti. Sol did some nasty stuff to the RoB and Nanotrasen, and i know atleast with my own characters that they would strongly oppose any presence of sol military on the station. Im still wondering as to why halstere doesnt get lynched every time he wears his uniform, but then again hes gotten it enough as is, what makes you think freya will fare better than him? -1 Link to comment
TheSmiley
As I have stated in my previous applications, I would not use the uniform everyday and show up every damn game with it. Freya would simply wear it after a short day at the field with her platoon, while she comes around to visit Aurora and the people who changed her life. I believe it will put an interest into Chunley's deep lore and life. And of course, I would use the uniform only once in few weeks. Link to comment
Munks
-1 can we stop having a million people asking for special snowflake unique military uniforms to parade around their workplace in please at this point ideally it should just be officially sanctioned events where actual recruiters, dignitaries, or represenatives come along with their uniforms, its stupid that we're flooded with just random people who happen to be in the space muhreens wanting to be allowed to come to work in their uniform for attention. this isn't a military rp Link to comment
Azande
Was this accepted without a post to confirm? Still heavily against more sol things. Link to comment
tbear13
+1 from me. Not a huge fan of more sol stuff, but what's one more? Chunley is a pretty great character, Smiley is cool OOCly, so yeah. Link to comment
LanceLynxx
why was sol clothing ever allowed literally an enemy of tau ceti as a whole who tried to invade it by force it's like wearing nazi regalia when you work at Ford Motor Co. Link to comment

Actually Ford was very much so a supporter of the National Socialists in Germany, he even wrote a book about Jews. NT is pretty liberal in it's tolerance of politics (for some reason) so if an employee wears it whilr not working and just visiting, that's fine. Link to comment

The 33rd headed by Frost, while tasked with maintaining the blockade had in a way defected to his own ideals and begun acting on his own accord. In what was an act of war, the Sol Alliance managed to dispatch the 25th fleet to rout the 33rd and force what remained of the rouge fleet to flee. In a way, Tau Ceti owes their current standing to the Sol Alliance given their response to what was a rabid dog, despite the blockade that still remains in the system. Link to comment
TishinaStalker
Hard pass, hard pass. At this rate, everybody's going to be wearing military uniforms instead of jumpsuits. Thanks, but no thanks. Application denied. Link to comment
