  1. We have sprites, and I'm fairly sure we have them in a .dmi format, from Rechkalov.
  2. Jenna is an excellent Roleplayer and I've had no issues with them in the past. Also, I thought you already had a Uanthi app but apparently not?? I'm dumb.
  3. Altmer best race, hands down.
  4. I do not intend to be pushy, but it's been ~3 days without any comments or concerns here. Is there going to be a staff member that handles this, or will I be stuck in limbo?
  5. Despite my time away, I recall Fowl being very pleasent to deal with. And from what I can judge off of this application, completely deserving of a head of staff roll. There's no reason not to grant this.
  6. CMO: Fourty year future round. 2487. HoS: Have not touched the role for months. Retconned. Don't try to cover up your own shit by pointing fingers. was not aware you retconned it. I mean you did play hos for months. I like how the topic of glass ceiling and extreme racism becomes an issue after you retconned it. even so houssam is still a very instilled thing. what, does the glass ceiling some how not exist in this world of extreme racism. ether we're dealing with extreme racism in which the taj are subjugated to mineing or janitorial work (goodbye nasir, houssam, safi, all the science cats, yeah lets see how well that goes over) or the world is not as racist as suggested and it's more subtle corporate racism. I'm sorry If I want a world that makes coherent sense, instead of than one that panders to the lore masters. My bad? If your idea of a 'good world' is letting Tajarans fuck around and slice anyone who dares call them a wrong name into ribbons, then you're damn right the lore masters are going to have something against it. Humans that are constantly problem people and start fights get fired. Racism is prevelant in our lore, yes, but don't make this just a race thing. If you're frequently a bad employee, expect reprecussions. Tajaran's even more so becuase they're scrutinized.
  7. As far as I'm aware, the lore focuses on Humanity's accomplishments. On Humanity's skills and ingeniousness, with the other races taking a sideline in Humanity's glory. As far as I see, all other races could be legitimately considered 'lesser' than a human. If you don't want to be chastised? Play a human. The way most people play Tajaran/Unathi/Hell, even IPC's now are basically Human anyway. There aren't any prevalent and meaningful interactions of racism and evidence of Unathi, Tajarans or others overcoming their social bonds and rising above their human peers in terms of social grace - Other species are going to be scrutinized more heavily than humans. If you can't deal with that? Tough. Play a human. The point of another species isn't to bow down to them and cow-tail your entire work force for them. It's a privilege to play an alien species, and you should really really read and understand the lore of your species before going for them. As Sue pointed out, Tajarans are the underdog. Unathi are the underdog. IPC's are the underdog. Skrell are on the level of humanity and have worked with them longer.

  9. A definite no from me. From what I understand, paperwork is a big thing. It doesn't matter if someone doesn't file it, there should be a waiver or paperwork being filled out when you're injecting yourself with radiation and literally changing your DNA structure through magic bluespace tech. Speaking off, I still hate superpowers. Always will.

  11. I approve of this idea. I remember back when I first got IPC whitelists, I was going to make a generic NT-robot thingy with the name... NTAR-332, if I recall. It saddened me greatly when I discovered I couldn't do it, and made Renegade instead.

  13. While back in the day I used to become super salty over death, now it bothers me when people do. Death is part of a story, and, supposedly, here at Aurora? We're supposed to be making a story. Not a story about romanticisms and high-school drama, although it's certainly acceptable. But a story about meaningful character interaction with events that have weight on the playerbase, their emotions, and their decisions. Death is a means to an end, something which nearly everyone is afraid of, and something that can be touching, saddening, or maddening in the right situations. People shouldn't get so angry at death. When I die, I ghost, look around for a little, and wait eagerly until I can play again.

  15. Because despite what has been said before, it doesn't matter what the community wants or has a general consensus on, it's about what the developers want in the game first. Good luck convincing soundscopes at this point. :/ This isn't a democracy, it's a benevolent dictatorship. Which is a good thing, as far as I'm concerned, because while I don't always agree with the decisions that are made, they don't always go along with the terrible ideas the hive mind here often has. This is the standard form of governance that games of this kind assume. We are the players, they are our GMs, and the server is their table. Except that goes against what Aurora was founded on - Community input and choices. An offering to be different than the clique-ish and elitist other HRP servers, and a place where RP thrives. Granted, the community and this ideal has changed since formation. But I like to think the facade should still live on. Community should have the final choice in most aspects; as upsetting as it may be towards our admin team.

  19. I'm not sure how to answer that question with any certainty. As for your 'what's changed' question, I've attempted to branch out to those that I've offended and hurt with my dickbaggery, and I believe it's progressed for the better. Similarly, back then, it was all about the drama. Having people all up in a ruckus about me wasn't fun, but it was something to do. I'm just here to have some spessmans, work on Vaurca, and be a productive lore-team/general advice person for anything, now. I don't want there to be any more drama. The ways I treated people in the past are inexcusable, and my attempts to shrug off ownership that I, indeed, fucked up is even worse. I don't intend to ever regain any form of power here, and I never thought that my general presence made people uneasy. I like to think I made a lot of friends here, and I want to attone for my mistakes in the past and make more. Essentially; I want to prove that I am not a total dirtbag.

  21. Very well, then. I'm still very open to questions and concerns and input from anyone and everyone. Don't bother about worrying about hurting people's feelings, as if that isn't said in the air already.

  23. Please.

  25. I appreciate the comments from Skull, all are valid points, as well as everyone else's input. I believe there's a slight misunderstanding in the conveying of information here. The conversation Frances and I had was about the seemingly retro-active ban, not discrediting that what I did wasn't an issue and wasn't something to be punished. At the time, Dea said 'apology or get out.' I decided to try and downplay my way out of it and make excuses for myself, which ended in be being banned. That would about summarize that conversation, wouldn't it, Skull? These are semantics, however. I understand any reservations with granting me the appeal, but I also don't understand why you wouldn't - I'm not here to make drama.
