I don't think what I said warranted a recorded forum-system warning, a messaged one sure - but the board automatically bans after someone gets a certain amount of warnings afaik and something like this should NOT contribute to that.
-
Gonna be honest. Didn't read the application because whatever is in it probably isn't relevant to what I'm about to say. Paradox and I have butted heads in the past, exchanged some sharp words I'm sure. But he is good at the IC stuff, character building, roleplaying - everything important for a Head of Staff. Most notably, he reached out to me (and I'm sure others) for advice on how to play an effective Captain, and this specifically to me shows me that he is quite ready for a head of staff position as he wants to be the best he can before he's even gotten his whitelist. Strong, strong +1.

BYOND Key: XanderDox Staff BYOND Key: Skull132 Game ID: N/A Reason for complaint: Abuse of authority to punish someone due to personal dislike. Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: My post was literally 'System broke, plz fix' referencing the fact that the system is bugged, and needs to be fixed (I believe this has already been reported on Github) . Our community literally thrives on joking with one another and being light fools and I have no clue how this warranted a board warning. Some of our staff engage in worse, outright using the n-word and the like which is something I personally find abhorrent and disgusting, yet seemingly go unpunished. I ask this warning be removed, and that staff begin to review their own conduct before punishing others for much, much much lighter offenses. (( https://imgur.com/a/p1YCv5M ))

Skull132 can you speak as to the Development Team section when you are free/available? Interest on your part on that.

[Withdrawn] Burger's Developer Application
Azande replied to BurgerBB's topic in Developer Applications Archives
That's just absolutely ridiculous. I seriously urge Garnascus and Sharp to actually review these screenshots and address them from an administrative side, and to heavily urge Skull132 to deny this application (since you can't outright say no because of separation of powers or something). The behaviour is just not OK. -
Well fucking met brother. o7 Good luck. Stay safe. Have fun. Get learnt.

PLEASE ADD AND ASPERGILLUM. Also, no need to cryo-protect holy water, the chaplain can turn any container of water into holy water with a smack of the bible.

Thank you. Sorry for the lack of reply, I’ve been on a short break from daily space and forums

United Nations of Earth - Interactive Stellaris AAR
Azande replied to Valkrae's topic in Other Games
The game has changed a lot from what Valkrae originally said. There's been coups. 7.5 Million have died. The government is barely stable. The Senate has been hamstrung into a weak ass body, but is fighting hard. I encourage everyone to get involved. -
This has been suggested like 12 times and Garnascus usually shoots it down.

I frankly didn't care about it existing until it impacted a staff member's decision to secban me. I have found 90% of my warnings invalid, and I've appealed very few. My decision to appeal is up to me, is it not? There is no rule here about appealing within a certain amount of time.
-
Because appeals of things for me tend to be drawn out, annoying and it was exam time.

BYOND Key: XanderDox Staff BYOND Key: Readthisnameplz Game ID: Don't have the game ID, but this is the exact time stamp: 2018-04-04 20:52:56 Reason for complaint: Appealing a bad warning Evidence/logs/etc: Listed Warning Additional remarks: I was dealing with a short staffing of Security, I was standing in the brig, specifically outside investigations, speaking to the Warden - who was telling me the Forensics Technician was plotting my murder/overthrowing. I was already in my armour due to the on going security threats, and I had no intention of front lining by being inside the heart of security, away from threats. But at this time, an EMP grenade came flying down the Forensics Stairs. Only the Warden and I were here, but to my recollection they were either injured, or the EMP affected their legs/arms which may have been mechanical. At this time, my implant is fried in my head, my gun is halfcharged from the EMP, and the person trying to (ALONE) overthrow my station's command structure and kill me is upstairs. I have the support of a damaged Warden behind me. I open the dropped firelock, and walk up the stairs. I stepped into the CSI office, strode towards them and batonned them down. They were arrested and promptly ahelped me for gank. As you can see in the warning, despite all of this being obvious, Mod ReadThis said that the FT had no visible weapons and was not an immediate threat at the time. I challenge this, the CSI had no idea whether I had a mechanical heart or limbs - if I did, I could have been seriously injured or died due to heart failure. Alone throwing an EMP grenade at the Captain is enough to label yourself as a hostile, who is considered an immediate threat. In line with Gank Rule Clarifications setup by Doomberg in the Staff Vault, which were recently re-affirmed to me by Garn or Abo as being effectively still considered policy, I was in my right place to baton them without intiating a paragraph, as THEY HAD STARTED THE COMBAT BY THROWING A GRENADE AT ME. I would like this warning expunged, which will then lead me to challenging my recent secban which I also believe was grossly mishandled (I was banned for not being there for the discussion, because I left to start a shower and excited SS13 without seeing the bwoink, and then made aware of this by a completely random member of staff I had not spoken to that round) because this warning was used as evidence to support that ban as well. Thank you for reading this.

[Implemented] Give IAA's Injunction Authority
Azande replied to Azande's topic in Accepted/Implemented Policy
Internal Affairs already can suggest week-long injunctions to CCIA, but cannot enact their own in round for the round (this is what the suggestion is aiming to fix). The form I have made is here, I've left it up to you guys to decide which department header to put it under and how to number it (most likely Command or General). [small] NanoTrasen Inc. Civilian Branch of Operation Form XXX Internal Affairs Injunction Form
Facility: NSS Aurora Date: [field] Index: [field] This form denotes a formal order to the employee(s) listed, following the conclusion of an Internal Affairs investigation, that shall be enforced by the employees of the Security Department. Employee(s) Concerned: [field] Order to be Enforced: [field] Additional Notes:
[field]

Agent's Signature: [field] Internal Affairs Stamp[/small] In line with this, I believe it would be incredibly prudent to require that an agent have a filed Internal Affairs Audit, Staff Review or complaint form completed as evidence to support any injunction. Ideally, a Head of Staff could not override an injunction filed by Internal Affairs if a corresponding review/audit/complaint can be produced by the Agent, but the Captain as the ultimate authority could veto any injunction filed regardless of the report behind it. -
[Implemented] Give IAA's Injunction Authority

None at all! This would be great. We may need a separate form for it drawn up (I can do this if wanted), as the other one is albelled as Security Injunction I believe. -
Withdrawn.

I don't remember the warning details from Toaster. I do recall the warning from Skull132 , which was given due to the way in which I was complaining about the Development Team. And while I still hold the same thoughts on the Dev Team overall - I do understand that how I projected those thoughts was not constructive, polite or in anyway proper feedback as the criticism should have been. The incident for this ban was during a large fight between Pacman and I, yes. Pacman and I will never get along, we never have but I have no issue just not communicating with him at all (although I think he has left the community over his discord ban). Pacman specifically would antagonize me in any medium we shared whether it was discord, on server or otherwise and I truly grew tired of it. As for Alb's warning - I don't have an exact recollection of it and I have no DMs related to with him (I've checked). It was most likely however, for engaging with one of the three people I often had arguments with to an extent that was not appropriate. Garnascus , had I felt that this ban was not warranted - I would have filed a staff complaint the day of the ban. I am not one to mince my words about issues with staff members.
-
I can only comment on what was told to me when I was banned - which is how I spoke to Delta and my argument with him.

P.S. Sorry ScheveningenScheveninganScheveningin whichever of you is Delta.
