From what I can tell, He's not only fixing hull breaches, but actively having an expertise over Xenobiology, and Telescience. I have not properly spectated him in Atmospherics, but logic would assume it's the same as the previous two. My issue here is this; These fields have nothing to do with each other. Telescience is math based, requiring advanced trigonometry, and mathematical reasoning. Xenobiology, on the other hand, is a biological science. Requiring knowledge of xeno-life and how it operates. Atmospherics, while I don't fully understand it, is nothing like fixing hull breaches and the like of which Travis has been doing. I don't agree that this decision is reasonable, for the sheer fact that I don't see NanoTrasen hiring him for these jobs. I could understand is his character had knowledge in them as a hobby, but not to the point where NanoTrasen would pay him to come onto the station and perform those jobs.

Fixed it. It's where I directly copied it without checking the link.

BYOND Key: Valkrae Character name: Rasuna Ki'hata Item name: Na'Tor PD Jacket. Why is your character carrying said item to work? It's what she wore everyday when she first joined the police force on Adhomai. Item function(s): It's just like a jacket. More like a parka, really. Item description: This is a Na'Tor Police Department Uniform Jacket. Item appearance: http://s4.thisnext.com/media/largest_dimension/7D533ECF.jpg But more of a dark blue. Additional comments: She would wear this because it would basically be what started her career in Law enforcement, and it'd basically be a day-to-day jacket that she'd wear almost anywhere. This was approved before, but I was being a shitler and left the server.

These fields are more cohesive; they're all biology/medicine-related, and chemistry has some very strong tie-ins with biology. Atmos, engineering, biology and telescience have very little relation, in comparison. Anyway, I'm also assuming your character acts more... dignified? People are generally more willing to accept characters with above-average intelligence/skills if they act their part, while Travis combines the qualities of being really unserious and overcompetent. (I'm not saying skilled characters can't be eccentric, but they probably shouldn't be the caricature of a Brony.) Aside from this, I have personally witnessed Travis asking Karima for a.. and I hesitate to put it into these terms.. sex-bot.

BYOND Key: Valkrae Player Byond Key: XXTheFurryXx Staff involved: SoapyCup Reason for complaint: Travis Davis is, in my opinion, to snowflakey of a character in it's current state. Not only is Travis Davis skilled in Telescience, he is also skilled in Atmospherics, fixing Hull breaches and Xenobiology. I don't see this as the sort of character we want on Aurora, as it is unbelievable. Especially at the characters age of 34. I'd like for XXTheFurryXx to change the character up to fit believable standards. Approximate Date/Time: 11/6/2015 - Around 9PM EST.

Why are we even still sitting around and discussing this? Boss is one of the best roleplayers we have on the server, he definitely deserves this.
-
What about adding antagonist whitelists? That way, the staff know who is actually capable of doing evil shit, and doing it with actual decent RP.

Goat-Mom best mom.

The Film Actors Guild, It's from Team America.

What about emagging it? It should be able to do something naughty and mean when emagged.

The transhumanist in my just exploded with joy at this.

Robert Dalton is a solid 5.5 to a 6. Just because of the shit he's went through. What, with faking his own death, and all of that nonsense that happened. Shiela is a 4. Rasuna is like.. a 0.5.

Character Complaint for IPC named Zairjah
Valkrae replied to Voyd2000's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
I.. actually think this is well within the bounds of an IPC. The short explanation is this: IPCs just don't understand what is taboo and what is not taboo for humanity/tajarans/unathi/ents/birdman -
Even if they do think it's water, the likelihood it is toxic and deadly is extremely high.
-
I know it'll keep happening, but what I want to get into everyone's head is that it happened before, which some either weren't here for, or are choosing to not remember.
-
I feel like this should be said, and it's probably been said before on numerous occasions, but the recent Tajarans v.s. The World thing isn't a new issue. It's happened before with other races, but this is the worst it's gotten. Does no one remember the Unathi-led Security Clan of Robustness. Literally beating anyone to death who broke so much as an injunction? Uaekis, and the others? And a few months ago, the whole IPC-nonsense with heads? If I recall correctly, I made a post(back when I was on the lore and staff teams) that said which races were restricted from which roles. And yet, that post has been forgotten in lieu of pitchfork grabbing and mobbing on both sides of the argument. TL;DR This happened before. Both sides of the argument have extremes that are dumb. I did a thing once.

Elder Scrolls & Why The Imperials Are The Best

It's been fun, Boss. I hate to see you go, but sometimes you just have to go. Vode An.

You want to know my honest opinion of this vote? I think if any option other than the second goes through, people will leave. Not immediately, but I feel as if they'll feel unwelcome playing their characters. People don't like making multiple apps to do things. To even be a Tajaran head, they have to go through two whitelist apps. Why make them go through a third? If it's for a character basis, make ALL characters go through another head app. Don't just focus on one minority of players. Posted this ingame, and wanted to post ithere.

Okay, so, neutral viewpoint time. In my eyes, both parties are putting way too much emotion and pre-bias into their posts, which is skewing the whole point of the complaint. My advice? Step back, write down your points in the simplest form, and let Tenenza take it from there.

This is what I am understanding from this entire complaint. Hivefleet, and the offended parties are viewing Doomberg and the other staff as breaking a policy, or generally just being cold when it comes to things. They'd rather the majority be able to talk about whatever floats their boat, and essentially forcing the offended parties to mute their OOC. Yet, the staff members are saying.. I really don't understand what they're trying to say. There doesn't seem to be a central point, as everyone is sort of throwing shit at each other. Was the mute required in the situation that transpired? Yes. Could Doomberg, the Head Admin, have done it a better way than the way it was performed? Definitely. There is no need to be a douche about things, and I really don't meant to sound rude about this. But the way Doomberg spoke prior to the mute... Well, he sounded like a colossal douche. I think what some of the others in the thread are trying to say is that a little more humanity and kindness(not politeness) would be appreciated from some of the staff members.

So, I guess you could consider this my return. I've hopped on a few times in the past couple of months, but I decided I'd play more actively now. This post literally is so short, so. im bad at this.
